That is an understatement! It sounded freaking amazing but there is no way you could daily drive it that way lol. We ended up welding in a pair of short stainless glasspacks in the tailpipes which helped a ton. Especially with the drone. Doesn't sound as good but manageable.
I would love to have an EFI project and break into those more modern joys... a 20 year old Chevy would have a ton of after-market support too. This is great!

We also got a free LS2 intake but I think I'm going to save that for a project that we don't care how much power it makes. Sucky part is I just sold a Bought new FAST 92 in 2021that came off my C5 lol. I still know where it's at though and I'm guessing he'd sell it back to me if I asked.

That Camaro you guys got really does sound amazing though. and I will say you are half decent at driving stick , caught those shifts nicely and released the clutch smoothly. Same colour as my Camaro was. Do you by chance know what rear end gear ratio it has ? Seems like a higher gear than mine had (if I said that correctly, more acceleration , less top speed than what mine had) My Crown Vic has the 3.27 ratio , and it seems to be a very similar engine rpm on the highway as my Camaro would be in 5th gear through the different highway speeds. but I have no idea what my Camaro ratio was, probably some grandpa gear that was given to v6s
Yup. Started driving stick at 14 in a 1981 Mustang and then a 1986 Toyota 4x4. Took my drivers license practical in a manual. I can drive them all day long but I suck at drag racing them or rev matching lol. Not sure what gear is in this thing, Will have to check that out. I would say its no more than maybe 3.73.
@@joshuaroy3162 If this is prior owner Josh, thanks again for everything you did for Isaac. He's in heaven. He went and registered the car today and got the title transfer moving. All is well and they didn't give us any grief. This car drives pretty damn well for not being fully tuned. We're still in the debates on doing the PCM swap now to save the hp tuner credits or just leaving the 98pcm in there and tuning that. It drives well enough that we have some time to think about it. He even drove it to his tech school 20 miles away the other day.
@@joshuaroy3162 Thank you Josh. So far things are going great! So far we just had to move a hose on the catch can, replace a toasted turn signal bulb holder up front and replace the turn signal flasher relay. Fully insured and registered. Isaac drove it to school again today.
any idea what happened to bp build's series for swapping the tr3650 into a vic? I'm in the middle of doing it myself and following along with his videos and today I noticed all of them went poof, was looking to your channel for help with swapping and saw that you mentioned him for some videos and thought you may be in contact with him.
No real contact with BP. He's responded to a few of my comments over the years but that's it. That is really bizarre. It looks like every video from the last 2 years has been deleted off his channel. His videos are kind of long but if you watched them carefully there were full of good information. If you have any questions by all means fire away and I will try to answer them. I may not have all the answers as we work on a lot of stuff here so some of knowledge gets lost lol.

That is temporarily on hold. I had everything for it including a new used 411pcm, but the mint condition bracket for it got stolen out of our mail locker. I couldn't find another one on short notice so we just started tuning the 98pcm. So far the car is worlds better and no longer has any hanging idle issues. It is currently speed density tuned and we did put the LS2 intake on it over the LS1 intake. New 90mm FiTech throttle body went on as well. It still seems a little low on power. Once we get a thousand other projects done around here we'll try tuning it with MAF. Would also like to put the car on the dyno just to see if it really is low on power or I am just desensitized after drying my car around and our SRT Grand Cherokee. The other reason it is on hold is I was not too keen on the 411 swap permanently disabling the ASR function. I also was a little disappointed in the lack of clear instruction out there on what it takes to make the fuel gauge function properly. Very frustrating considering these cars are 25 years old now and the information should be common internet knowledge lol.

I havent been able to find a whole lot of info on the swap, some on ls1 tech but it seems the only company that i found that offers instructions is out of business. Guess ill keep looking. I bought my car without an engine or transmission. So im doing a 5.3 and a 4l80e. So i bought an ebay swap harness and a ecm from a vendor also on ebay. Only thing that sucks is the cluster will not funtion. Thats why i was going to do the 411 swap since i still have the original 98 engine harness.

Yes. We were all set to convert the car to 411 pcm but at the last minute it all fell apart due to a package theft!!! Still running great to this day on the 98 computer. Currently in closed loop speed density.

Hope you do a video of the 0411 ecm conversion if you decide to do it. I have a 98 z28 that ive been wanting to convert over to the newer computer
