First: We need a video of Nina (5:42) doing everything in that dress. Pick up sushi in that dress. Walking Bowie in that dress. Organizing the office in that dress. Second: Rochelle and her mum Making Wisteria is so genuinely sweet and next level, I don't anyone can even...
Wisteria flowers can be used to make a lovely jelly as well , so once your tea party is over collect some flowers and make jelly to go onto next year's thumb print cookies or scones...or dry some flowers for tea or to put in shortbread cookies.....note you can also use forsythia, violet, peony, lilac, fireweed, Queen Anne's Lace ,rose petals and lavender.
I just want to make sure everyone reading this knows, that wisteria is poisonous. Not to the touch, and most people won't die from ingesting it. But it can make you very ill.
The friend that said “i feel so pretty” in the pink dress 🥰💕 my heart couldnt take the sweetness. Women deserve moments like that, where a dress makes them feel beautiful
Rochelle and her mom are rock stars! Would they film a tutorial on how they made them? Everything was beautiful and the food looked amazing. Well done. What a wonderful tradition to begin
My mom has a beautiful wisteria in bc and if you hack it back aggressively after the first bloom is done 8/10 times you will get a second bloom by the end of summer. Also note it will break through wood and damage decking if not pruned.
Hey, The Sorry Girls team I just wanna say the videos are the highlight of my Tuesdays. Thank you! And Rochelle making the flowers literally made me tear up. I'm so glad I clicked on a Little Red Riding Hood costume tutorial back in the day. You guys are amazing!
Rochelle and her mum is the sweetest human being ever!!! Such a gem💕 ANDDDD all of everyone's dresses were sooo ON POINT I LOVEEE the theme, hoping to see part 2 of the tea party with actual wisteria blooms next year, hopefully??
Rochelle and her mom's fauxsteria was such lovely bit of handiwork and so thoughtful! The whole event was just as pretty as can be...a yearly tradition perhaps?
I LOVE ThreadUp!! I LOVE tea parties!!! I LOVE airy, romantic floral vintage dresses!!!! My birthday is in two weeks and I have been planning something similar on my patio!!! My flowers are all abloom and my dresses and tea sets are at the ready!!!! Thank you for this!!! ❤❤❤
Afternoon tea and high tea are two different things. High tea is a formal event where tea is served at the table and seated on high back dining chairs. What you hosted was afternoon tea, which is sitting down for an afternoon treat of tea, sandwiches, scones, and cake. A lot of people get the two mixed up. The origin of afternoon tea dates back to England in 1840. Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford would become hungry around four o'clock in the afternoon. The evening meal in her household was served fashionably late at eight o'clock, thus leaving a long period of time between lunch and dinner. The Duchess asked that a tray of tea, bread and butter, and cake be brought to her room during the late afternoon. This became a habit of hers and she began inviting friends to join her and it quickly became a fashionable social event.
Everything came together so beautifully! Love the trays, the beautiful teacups, the beautiful food, the varied sitting areas, the faux wisteria, all of it. So glad you were blessed with a beautiful day for the get together. A little disappointed the team all sat together on the top deck. Expected everyone to be among the crowd enjoying and welcoming the others.
So like I’m getting married soon and my theme is vintage tea party… and I’m using faux wisteria EVERYWHERE for the decor!! ❤❤❤❤❤ this video is everything to me right now!!
Loved this...All the ladies (and gents) look fantastic. Loved, loved, loooved, the dresses on Nina and Becky. Loved friends going out of their way for you...WAY TO GO TEAM ROCHELLE! Last but not least.. big up's to the bakery queen for all the goodies and Kesley for hosting this theme party. Looking forward to seeing next year's party😍😍
This reminds me of my wedding! I pulled out all my good China, crystal and silver plus borrowed more from my mother and aunties so everyone ate and drank from heritage pieces in our family. Very sentimental and meaningful for us.
Love it! I have been thinking about growing this in my backyard once we replace our pergola. Plants not blooming some years (or not getting as many blooms) could be due to needing more fertilizer, soil amendments to change pH, or needing to be pruned. Try fertilizing, adjusting soil pH, & pruning during the most ideal times for that specific plant. Hope this helps!
We have wisteria in the garden as well. First the leaves come, with in the end a dew flowers. And than the flowers come for second round, but than with waaaay more and no leaves
😭🫶🏼🚨Screaming! Crying! Throwing up! The closing shot of all 4 ladies around the table was everything! What a gorgeous moment with Rachael and Rochelle and Kelsey and Becky!🚨🫶🏼😭 PS- WE NEED A PAPER WISTERIA GARLAND TUTORIAL FROM ROCHELLE! 💜💜💜
Besides being the Lifesaver for your beautiful Spring Wisteria Tea Party - Rochelle also had the prettiest dress!! Wish I could have seen more of it - but of what I was able to glimpse the color & flowers on the dress were just gorgeous!! And Rochelle looked gorgeous in the dress!! 🌺🌸🥀🥐🍉🍓🍇🍑🫖🍰🦝💞Such a great for a party to throw to celebrate the flora & warm weather!
People! I think the last clip of the four (Kelsey, Becky, Rachael, Rochelle) means we are getting another sorry girl. It’s a clue. 😂 maybe! Calling it! Also, this video was so fun. 👏🏽
@@brookeobscura It is not uncomfortable, nor is it cringe-worthy! She is proving herself, working her way up, as in every other job that can lead to promotion!
This is such a sweet idea and so pretty. As a Brit I can explain the difference between afternoon tea and high tea. You had afternoon tea, tea served with cakes, small sandwiches and scones. This was originally a way for the upper classes in the UK to break up the gap between lunch and dinner at around 4.00. High tea is where tea is served with hot food, this was usually around 5/6 and was generally the final meal of the day.
This was the first time in four years that my wisteria bloomed, and the blossoms were only there for a few quick days due to our funky weather. I loved the flowers that Rochelle and her mom made, that just put the whole finishing touch to a very lovely party.
This was literally the most perfect timing because I'm throwing an English Tea party for my mother in law's birthday in July! Another one knocked out the park ladies!!
How beautiful! Your backyard was like a secret garden. My mother had wisteria growing on her porch, it grew up the sides, so the porch was hidden from the busy street I grew up on. Rochelle and her mother came through with the wisteria! It looked amazing. Your outfits were really cute and fit the day perfectly! I’ve made those three tier tray’s before and it really helps the put a tiny bit of silicone around the stem. It helps with the jiggling.
Love this whole video concept. The reason I like diy is the same reason I like event planning - so many creative aspects to put in work to pull together. I hope this does well enough to encourage you to make more content branching out like this!
Truly a beautiful party, everyone being part of it was so wonderful, loved the dresses and thrifted finds, the “wisteria” quavering in the wind lent such an elegant touch ,great job!
I love tea parties 🫖 I make sure they are nut free and zero sesame seeds so no epipen angst is attending and wait until the plant is almost blooming to set the finalized date when garden oriented. I loved watching you plan! 😊

well... the flowers are edible in moderation but the seeds, pods, and leaves are very poisonous. so be cautious.

I love this idea. Also came out really pretty and looked super tasty. Shout out to Rochelle, Sarah and your grandma for their contributions.
all the MVPs
It could be neat next year for a Wisteria party to do a Desperate Housewives inspired mystery party because they live on Wisteria Lane.
omg hahahahahaah
I'm rewatching Desperate Housewives right now and that's all I could think of 💀
