G1 Ultra Magnus's armour head can attach to the chest piece in trailer mode and the fists can be stored in the cab in truck mode. The G1 Ultra Magnus toy also cameoed in the third series of Stranger Things.
I put the white belt underneath at the front of the carrier on the two prongs and then use the circular hole in the belt to clip to the peg on the back of the truck so he isn't sliding about as the truck pulls the carrier - found it out by accident. Give it a go.
As someone who also collects Magic cards, I'm glad I can live vicariously through you for my Transformers needs without spending so much money.. ..Still gonna try for a full, classic dino-bot set tho.. and the MTG Grimlock for good measure
I really want kingdom magnus but I already have one of the siege ones and I can't really justify selling and ultra magnus to buy another magnus with slightly different paint

If you unscrew the head of the G1 "white Prime", there's a small bit of plastic that can be cut off and allow his head to turn. Also works for G1 Optimus Prime. Only thing is, the head is left a bit loose.
For me, I would have included a category like Tactile Satisfaction. Part of the joy of G1 Ultra Magnus is the HEFT of him. And those luscious clinkety ratchets in the arms. I have the Siege Maggy, not Kingdom, but I do have to admit he's got a lot of good, precice, strong tabbing pegs. Though this all might be incorporated into Fiddleability.
Tbf Kingdom Ultra Magnus is more inspired by the 86 version of the character so I think it wins the faithfulness category over the G1 toy. Kingdom was kind of a mixture of stuff that was meant for other lines while also having its own stuff. It’s been a weird line but good stuff came out of it.

Love G1 Magnus. I forgot I had him for years. A while back i was digging through some storage and found a box for him and was a bit surprised by that. Eventually I had a proper dig, pulling every Transformer I could find out, and there he was in perfect condition bundled up snugly with a load of his friends. Such a great toy. I'd suggest Beast Wars Optimus Primal vs Kingdom Primal for one of these vids. I've done a bit of comparing them on a side channel of mine. Only a little though. I feel like there's a massive shift in philosophy of design between them which basically comes down to the original is the best toy ever made and the new one is just sorta boring. OK, but not fun.
Man, I appreciate the Value Category- the media is just as important as the toys when it comes to Transformers- but Kingdom Ultra Magnus got NERFED by his show.
I love the IDW inspired CW Leader Magnus too, I recommend you to play with that one if you can. It has carrying capabilities and all the fun things you described in this review, like having all the parts being part of the transformation. Only problem is cab not trasforming, the rest is great
CW Ultra Magnus, to me, still hits that perfect middle ground of being a modernized G1 Ultra Magnus. Just needed actual wrists, and a 3rd party shows that a white Optimus feature was possible. Sticking to that

I had G1 Ultra Magnus. In his full robot form, it was shit. I only used to bother with the cab robot. Now,if he'd been as cool as Kingdom Ultra Magnus, it would have blown my mind.

Really... REALLY... G1 is "faithful to the character"? Even as a kid, I hated G1 UM's toy. He didn't feel like Robert Stack in a robot suit, like he did in the movie and show, he felt like someone put his arms on a small building and made a parody of his head out of a squished robomelon. No, UM was one of the LEAST faithful to the character, period. I HATED that toy.
Oh well since this was highlighted, I want to explain myself more. Ultra magnus is one of my favorite characters in idea only. I love ultra magnus as an extension of optimas but never living up to optimas. So him being a car carrier was literally him trying to carry his team mates but by only him letting his friends drive themselves does he learn to fight on his own. Also I just like function on over looks and the trailer neither looks good or functions good. Though the ultra magnus mode is good I suppose
I pick Kingdom because the original just looks too much like a old and outdated toy soldier that doesn't movie at all, besides Micromasters and Pretenders were the only thing I liked about G1 lmao.

You can attach the bicep armour pieces to Kingdom Magnus' hands in vehicle mode to hide them and make it look much better.
