- I may be the only one who struggled with this. Please like and comment if this helped. I have no idea what the background noise was. I usually use my iPhone to record.
So basically the password is the last 4 digits from the name of the washing machines network. You need to enter the 4 digits twice.

WOW. Unbelievable. We are 2 IT professionals who tried to connect unsuccessfully; called support, unplugged and reset the machine, deleted and reinstalled the app - all to no avail. After going about mad I stumbled upon your video and can't thank you enough!!! Amazing....not sure why LG can't be more clear in their instruction & support. #lgcustomerexperiencefailure

Super helpful! I also struggled for about 20 minutes. Then found your video and was able to get both washer and dryer setup. The instructions in the manual are crap.
Thank you for the video! Wow, I was trying to figure out the password situation for so long and was ready to give up. LG needs to get their act together with the documentation. I would have never guessed the password was in the ID. Might help if LG actually mentioned that in the paperwork or web site or anywhere...
Thank you for providing that tip! I called customer service and all they offered was to email me instructions, which I never rec'd. I remember seeing the app give examples of the p/w, but it was not clear that it's inside the network name. Customer service could easily provide this info. We spent more time going back and forth as they refused to offer any suggestions. Thank you again!
Thank you so so much ... i have had the LG washing machine 14kg top load with wifi and every time I call customer service they tell me it’s not active for iPhone to use wifi now . The fact is they them self don’t know how to use the wifi System .LG needs to educate their customer service about Wi-Fi . You are the best .. once again thank you

Thank you so much! I did not find the instructions on the app to be all that helpful. I called LG and while I waited for the customer service agent to find the instruction manual, refresh her screen several times, put me on hold, and look up the app, I found your video. Thank goodness. My washing machine is now registered and I can start laundry remotely. I really appreciate you for taking the time to make this video. I don't think I could have connected without it.

You saved me! I kept putting in my own wifi password, then the example password from the app (not realizing it was just an example) & becoming super frustrated! Thank you so much for helping me to figure this out!! I first set up for my dishwasher, then setting up the refrigerator afterward was a cakewalk! You're awesome!

Yip. Stupid. I just purchased the LG Signature WM9500HKA Washer and Signature DLGX9501K Dryer. No where in the owners manual explain how to connect.
One difference from the above video, and I'm sure it probably has to do with model number, but I did NOT have to enter the "four digit code twice" when I connected these Signature appliances. It automatically recognized them and I only needed to put my home WIFI password in on the app. Just an FYI in case you find your particular LG is similar. Great video. Thanks !!!!

Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to connect the WiFi to my LG top loader for a month now. Had no idea that the password had to be entered twice, they definitely don’t make that clear. Thank you again! Have only had my washer for a little over a year, control panel had to be replaced, after the new panel was installed I just couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t connect, it was so easy when we bought the machines, everything else is connected,the dryer, stove, fridge, all connected without a hitch, but this had me stumped! 😊

Thank you so much. Finally got connected. I even had trouble finding the TINY *WiFi letters on the washer and dryer. Also I had installed the LG app previously and could not connect. Deleted app and added washer and dryer and that worked.

I struggled with it as well.in the app it gives a password that is not valid 015E or something.you cleared this up for me after an exhausting search with LG and chat bots and online forums.why can’t they just tell you the correct password?I failed telepathy!!!any way cheers mate you took away my stress.

I had the same problem with the password, so it wasn't only you. I think LG needs to make the setup a little clearer.

If Lg was smart, somebody should get (and license to you) this video and place on their website. The Customer Service rep told me to put the password in. She did not tell me to put it in twice. Then indicated I might need a wi-if extender and that the wi-fi only works on 2.5 GH. All true, but not the issue. Than you.

Dude...You made this SOOO simple and easy. I used it as a tool to upload a NEW WI-FI to the same LG washer/Dryer. Perhaps you can do a video on just updating the NEW Wi-Fi on an already uploaded app? Thanks again....!

Thanks for vid. As its using you're own wifi assume this means that you cant connect to 4/5g to enable you to turn on your W/Mc away from home which think would be a great time saving feature. I.e. turn it on just before due to come home and it be ready as you come home straight into dryer !!

How do you get the dryer online that has the “download cycle” but no touchscreen? I dial the knob to highlight “download cycle”, but there is no WiFi to connect nor enter password.

If you plan to use WiFi running the setup will override any previous settings.
If you aren’t planning to use WiFi switch it off by holding the WiFi button.
When the WiFi symbol is not showing it’s off.

We're looking at the washer and dryer stackable ... and trying to figure out whether my wife can start and stop the dryer via the app; and, whether our home 5g network will be a problem. The instructions say the machine is 2.4g but it's not clear to me whether or not it will connect.
