Love the mixer block and how you used the stripe and rick rack. Also, I’m drawn to the Happiness journal but thinking the calm journal might suit my husband. And, I love those new critter blocks. Lots to love here.

The many dots looks great to me. I like the pattern “echo” that the dots create. Of course, that is just me, and I am not you. Isn’t that great? So many different quilts from the same pattern. Freaking amazing.

I also have a KitchenAid mixer, but in boring white. I’d get aqua if I had to buy another one. I used to do cakes for family and friends, but lost interest.
I lost hand strength due to arthritis

About packing up Dutches. I travel to our cottage and florida and when I inquired about that to others some great suggestions were given. I remove the spool pin, presser foot and bobbin case wrap in batting. Then i push the bobbin winder up against the hand wheel and lastly drop down the presser foot lever. Im sure the folks you are sending her off to have given you directions but i know how much i love mine so wanted to pass info along. Cant wait to see it done.

Pat, I did the appliqued chickens but, I didn't care for the way Lori did the feet & beaks on the chickens. I struggled with it for a few weeks trying to figure out what to do and ended up using the zig zag stitch to make them and I added a line of straight stitch down the center of the zig zag so that it wouldn't fray. That might be a good option instead of hand embroidery for the prongs on the mixer cord.

When I was 14 I got a sewing machine for my birthday and Christmas together as my birthday is on Christmas Day. I was so excited. I can relate to your excitement getting a mixer. I have been sewing since I got that machine and I will be 70 this Christmas

Pat I just love your mixer block! And the ric rack cord is so perfect with that little twist! Perfection as always! I am so interested in doing the 50 block challenge, I think an 8 inch block would be nice. 6 inches would be like half the size of the splendid sampler, just a thought! Just finished a quilt with 96 buttons as well as prairie points for one boarder. Just loved it and gifted to a special friend.❤ I've got a red kitchen aid and a red kitchen aid food processor which I was able to get with points from my credit card. Points gained from mostly fabric purchases. 11pm at retreat, watching this before I go to sleep, always watch you before I go to sleep, your voice is so soothing today drove for over 4 hours so am rather tired.❤
I have to decide whether to quilt or cook...so dinner becomes something quick and no desert so I can get to other projects. 😁
@lauralinash5341 sounds like me , think my hubby is getting tired of freezer meals, he's looking for fresh cooked. Iwlldo a large slow cook and divide into meal size portions and freeze and as there is only the 2 of us now the meals go a long way. Do one slow cook a week so rotate what I cook so not the same meal every day.😂💞

Feeling like we may be separated twins, 😂 I also started baking as a preteen but not because I loved to decorate. Red is also my favorite color so of course my Kitchen Aid is candy apple red as well as setting up my planner already. I use a Happy Planner in Miss Maker design but I have also designed my own project pages to go in it. The perks of Happy Planner to me is the disc design instead of rings. It lets you rearrange the pages anyway your heart desires, anytime you wish. Hope you have a wonderful Fall weekend! ❤️

I may be crazy, but I’d keep that orange because it is a great blender and it is the right type of contrast for my predominately blue and green collection. It is a great share of orange, and I’d use every last bit of it. However, I’ve seen the multiple boxes of your fabric collection, so I know you don’t have the balance problem in your fabrics.
I am impressed how you manipulated the Rick rack....I am leaning g toward embroidery. ❤😊
