    Looks like the boys enjoyed it. Not sure if Mattie found it that interesting but she definitely was the supportive wife and mother. Hopefully you found the trip worthwhile. Keep up what you are doing and your growth will continue and I'm sure the pace will pick up as you get more numbers. I think the merchandise was also a good step and adds exposure on FF website.

    You NEED that Walkabout mother bin! Kidding. It would be cool but that is huge and I can only imagine the cost.

    Maybe give L&D Ag a call about a fertilizer tank for the planter. They're out of Hartland, MN, but they deal with people all over the country. Very knowledgeable about all things related to fertilizer on a planter.

    That peddle pulling tracker was pretty cool. I've never seen that. It would be a huge hit at the 4H fair.

    Biggest thing with the new 98 series Brent cart is that the unload auger can be used on the right hand side or can be switched over and used on the left hand side if you choose to and the unload auger is longer. Couple other small features too. If you’re really interested in demonstrating a raptor I can hook you up with the right people. Just let me know.

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not true about the Brent grain carts. They can be either left or right hand unload but cannot be switched back and forth.

    • @mitchelpoppe5789
      @mitchelpoppe5789 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to take them apart to switch them. All the parts are symmetrical. No you can not just flip it side to side on the fly, I should’ve been more clear about that sorry, haha

    • @mitchelpoppe5789
      @mitchelpoppe5789 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 96 series you could order it either way but never had the option to be able to switch it around if you wanted to.

    13:00 DUDE.... those CLAUSE HALF TRACKS need to get FRONT TRACKS on it too, and have them be those SHORT TRACKS and THEN THE TANKS CAN LIVE UP ABOVE THE TRACKS where the tires USED TO LIVE...... no ''real'' sight change that way eh?
    anyone from CLAUSE R&D HERE? LOL

  • @tedstevenson1
    @tedstevenson1 ปีที่แล้ว

    The autonomous sprayer that you were looking at that you wanted to get on the list for that was really interesting. I'm making the assumption that if and when you get one you will be irrigating more fields.... How close does a water source have to be?

  • @agger838
    @agger838 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think those 8rx integrated tanks look really slick. They're alot of work to put on though. Probably not cheap either but get what you pay for

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are but they're bulky and fill every open spot on the back of those tractors, expensive, and bigger than I need. Plus there still the weight on the tracks issue.

    What's the difference between starter and pop up fertiliser?
    And how does that fit with strip till with dry fertiliser in the future?

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is a great question. I'm going to make a video talking g about fertilizer placement at some point. Starter and popup are technically interchangeable but I use starter to refer to the fertilizer placed 2x2 and pop-up as the fertlizer placed in the seed furrow.

      I would encourage you to watch Monday's video where the boys' lessons include being outdoors, work ethic, land stewardship, the basics of maple syrup, and philanthropy. No screen time, just getting it done. I raised Nathan, and he is, above all, God loving, hard-working, family oriented, generally good person who gives his time to his community, his church, and his family. Please don't judge us.
