The ivt you can drive it like a car when your in road travel,,put your transmission lever in F2, top speed, with your foot on the brake and throttle at idle,, let your foot off the brake and more throttle you give it, faster you go until you reach top speed and when you slow down, idle it down and you slow down, when your at idle, you can stop with the brake
Thats right! We have a 6175R with IVT but you cant stop it with the brake...does someone know what the issue is?It is like that basicly since it was new in 2018.
One thing I do love about your videos is that you go in to depth on the mechanical side of things. A lot of these guys on this platform seem to over simplify things.
Ironically the other day I watched the video of you guys and Wes talking from the farm show years back. Cool to see you had said you wanted a 7920, now you got it.
A 7920 has a top speed of 26mph on the road, ive got a 7920 and a 7830 and both do 26mph, when I'm baling and doing everything else, the ivt and the 26mph saves a ton of wasted time just where you can get around faster and dial your speed into pretty much whatever you want so you never have the a little to fast or a little to slow problem.
Watched the whole video. 🤠. Happy cowboy farmer! Now I know it was bought so each one of you has a tractor during harvest. Also good if a tractor like the 76 ends up in service.
The pto switch around thing looks the same as our 8100. DO NOT take it out or put the bolts back in with an impact. Those bolts snap easy and getting them back out after... good luck. We broke the cast around one too. Just don't lol ratchet with extention and that's all the tighter you need
Possibly look at a air ride seat, unless I missed that it is. That way yourself and Dwight are comfortable on overnight shifts. Just started a 34 hr reset yay.
Hey Travis, Great Video on the tractor , Weights, Lights and planter. Excited to see the 7920 in action. Don't know what March will hold but this week at least 1 day it is to be 80 deg. And yes SC is a good bit milder than Wisconsin. Take Care, Take it Easy and Trust JESUS !!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t wait to see playing videos, down here in Texas we will start in about 2 weeks, maybe 3 but cotton will definitely be going in after the first week of march!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Very nice tractor, thinking all the plastic might interfere with the lighting, hopefully your dad lets you take the plastic off when it’s time to get some work done. 😂 just kidding, always nice to try to keep new things nice. Would be a real laugh if you were to make a video trying to plant with it still covered up, thank god for GPS otherwise I wouldn’t know if I’m in the field or not. Wishing you and your family the best.
Really excited to see what all the 79 ends up on this year. The 46 is great don't get me wrong that thing is a beast of its own, but I've seen how much y'all needed another mwfd tractor. The IVT is just just another bonus on top of that. Thanks for the update Travis! Hope the cows are doing well!
My boss has a 7230 loader tractor with an ivt. I'm not a deer guy but that tractor is about perfect. The only thing I really wouldn't want to use it for is tillage.
Thats why they call them spinners "suicide knobs" because years ago people had them in their cars, they would catch them and go off the road. True story told to me by an old farmer lol
Hi Travis from the land of oz. My vario fendt on the road pulling 8 ton square baler on slight downhill will cut out fuel used to zero if possible. I’ve seen it baling downhill using zero fuel. Variable boxes are great.
Thanks for the video. That tractor should be a great fit for your needs. Can’t wait to see the action videos and see how it works out for your operation
hey travis, you ready for the summer, down here in North Carolina we have had a warm week of 60+ degrees, get 84 degrees this thursday, i got a feeling everything will start early, hope yall like that tractor a lot.
Do you have a My John Deere login? I'm sure you know already, but you can login and get the books and everything that's what I do when I'm working on them for people as well.
So many changes on the farm this year. Looking forward to the videos. You going to get another gravity wagon and haul 2 down the road, or is the tractor not big enough to make it safe?
I don't think he wants to even consider pulling 2 especially down his driveway unless had ones with brakes. He probably could pull 2 from Ryan's place just fine
@@dwightkuster8249 Thanks Dwight, I rewatched the video and now i got it.😅 (as Travis said, hopefully they make a video). me as someone from germany I only knew the lever in the cab. now since I watched so much HFW i know how to change the shaft from 540 to 1000. But this lever in the back is completely new for me.😅😅
Using "we" is interchangeable... Really without your brother or your dad would you even be farming? I ask the same question to myself. Not a big deal running duals for haying season... Less compaction, stability, but yes more wear and tear and not as nimble.
@@TheRestOfTheStory huh no kiddin? I expected a lot more. That’s what they sell for used here. But to be fair there’s not a whole lot to go wrong with them 😂

The 4640 doesn't shift hard, just shift with authority like most things from the 70s and 80s.
The 7920 was one of the two i was hoping for in Ryans "reveal" on this website. So I cant wait till planting comes around.:)
Good video. I like a good talk
Yea thanks for the detailed video
Great video travis
Great looking tractor Love ur video’s keep them coming please
Very nice new to the farm big green 🚜! 🎉
Thanks for the update on the tractor. Your going to love the ivt planting. Its on my wish list too
Thanks Travis!!!!!!!! You seem quite recharged and ready to go!
Great stuff Travis, very nice tractor, hope You have many happy hours on it👌👍🙏🙂

I can't wait to see the new tractor in action this spring. We always watch to the end, btw. Good stuff.
I now what you mean about the shifting In the 4640. I gave run those in my farming days.the new one is. a great looking tractor
Watched the whole video. 🤠. Happy cowboy farmer!

The 4640 is my favorite tractor
Great looking tractor
I can see the anticipation in you to run it. Nothing like tricking out the tractor the way you want it. Seems like you can never have enough lights
Nice looking Tractor, good to keep her looking tidy

Thanks for the info
I ran a 7720 IVT for years, the controls make for the perfect planting tractor.
6175m would be a nice upgrade for you
Sharp looking tractor can't wait to see it in action
Possibly look at a air ride seat, unless I missed that it is.
That way yourself and Dwight are comfortable on overnight shifts.
Just started a 34 hr reset yay.
Sounds like some solid planning. Can’t wait to see it all in action. Thanks for the update!
Nice new edition
Nice will give you more choices
Thanks for the update on the new tractor and thanks for your dedication to your channel. You are appreciate your time and effort’s
79 sounds like a better Swiss army knife than the 7600. Looking forward to seeing it in the future finding it home.
I can't wait to see your planting videos with the 7920, I always enjoyed the ride along videos👍

Thanks for the update, looks like a great new tractor on the farm
Out here if you don't have the tractors tire spacing to match the planter, then you'll have very reduced emergence on the tractor tire rows.
Excited to see you guys put the 79 to work!
Thanks for the video
Thanks for the update
Your videos never can or will get way to long.
Lookin good can’t wait to see it in action this spring

oughta put a loader on the 7600!
Haha long talk, perhaps, but interesting as always, Travis. Thanks for the update!

The video length is fine 🙂
That’s a really nice looking tractor. Can’t wait to see it in action this year!! Thanks for the update and video Travis!!
Sounds like you guys have big plans for the new to you tractor. You guys deserve it. Looking forward to the videos in 2023.
I think Egyptian cotton for a tractor cover is a great idea!
Doing a good job

good stuff

Thanks for the update Travis sounds like you have some good plans for the new tractor 👍
Nice tractor. I finally found and got an 8120 with the 540.
Thanks Travis
Great video Travis! Awesome to see the farm continue to grow.
Bringing hay to the auction and getting $200+ will be back. Hay prices move just like prices on everything else. Keep up the awesome content.
Can't wait to see this pulling a new Kuhn spreader!
Looking forward to seeing that tractor in action.
Thanks for the video. That tractor should be a great fit for your needs. Can’t wait to see the action videos and see how it works out for your operation
Nothing else widen the front tires so you can turn tighter and still maintain some stability

Exciting times are coming with this new edition to your fleet. I'm looking forward to seeing how it streamlines the farm's operation. Thanks Travis!
Wow 😊😊

Congrats!
Great video Travis!
I will set 1 for turning and 2 for max planting speed
Hey Travis
Down pressure doesn’t use an accumulator??
Not100% sure how it works yet.
oh not every john Deere tractor have that flip PTO shaft
Ivt would be sweet. But I don’t trust those as much as Powershift yet

I don't think he wants to even consider pulling 2 especially down his driveway unless had ones with brakes. He probably could pull 2 from Ryan's place just fine
Pulling two full wagons up the driveway at Rockville could get tricky also
Thanks for the tour of the new tractor. Can't wait to see you guys using it. How's the planter coming along?
Plan to finish it up this week
4640 still on fall chisel plow duty?
Probably knocked down a notch. More likely the 82 and the 79 on the chisels
Will you need to tune it to get more HP? We never got to hear how it dyno-tested.
180hp. In the process of getting a tube lined up
Do you have the lever in the cab to change the PTO speed?Maybe its the only way to change it. (that is at least how our european models are setup)
No on the back behind the left sway block.
The plastics a little strange you just trying to get dirty in the spring a little birds s***it's not going to hurt it gives her a little character
No birds to mess on it?
Are you 36" rows?
30 inch
What's the top engine speed on your 46? We get 23 mph on the one with 42's on the back and 21 on the one with 38's. Should get up to at least 2300 rpm
2200 rpm
How many HP is the 7920 ? 235 ?
79 is 180 at the moment. The 82 is 235.
Why none of your tractors have front axle or cab suspension?
Not something I don't want. Just haven't found one that was setup for it when we were looking
4640 on baler
That won't happen by Travis or Ryan
I’ve bought used weights before but I’m curious what new ones cost?
Around $100 a weight
