I have a 23 A Spec with the CVT. Overall a great driving car and a blast to drive. I average around 37 MPG in mixed driving. It has a few shortcomings. It comes with no spare tire, no USB or power connections for rear passengers, no rear center armrest, and the interior road noise is loud in my opinion.
Easily the best reason for the tech package is for the 6MT. Stinks about the lack of a spare tire though. I didn’t know that. What’s up with the inflator kit you mentioned?
@@TheBalloonGuys Yes, my dealer has a donut kit available for the low, low price of $604.82. I took a pass. The Bride's 2019 Miata doesn't have a spare, either.
@@TheBalloonGuys The Acura guy gave me a menu of optional items. I wanted floor mats. His prices were a LOT higher than what I found at PRL Motorsports. He wound up throwing them in at no charge.
I just bought the same thing in April. Mine is Blue with Orchid interior. Had to get the 6MT before Honda/Acura gets rid of them -- you never know when that might happen these days.
I was going back and forth between a civic si and the the tig with tech. I got the civic but i think i should have got the Acura just for the heated seats and sound system alone.
Acura would’ve sold me if it brought all of the A-spec tech package to the type S just saying a little bit of extra weight would not hurt the performance of the type S, for the type S price range it should include everything…… just saying🤷
@@VagabondBuilds just want Acura to make the perfect car from Families to car enthusiast…. Currently looking for a manual car for me and my wife that’s fun to drive, has connectivity OR ac for the rear seats, memory seats, The Type S came the closest and almost bought it, but is lacking on a lot of features….. If Acura makes the 2025 Acura type S with the full-on A-spec tech package around the same price which is a lot to ask for They will truly succeed and have tons of sales🙌
I reviewed this once before just mentioning how you say InTAgra. You were a very good sport about it. There’s just something hilarious about your review. Maybe your boss asked you to compare the 2 trims. If you say Tech / Non Tech just one more time I think my head will explode. Very detailed conscientious review. I hope you had a cocktail afterwards! You seemed stressed out. 😰 I felt a bit bad for you. I don’t think you’ll ever do a comparison like this again. Best of luck to you sincerely. 😮
You’re too kind. I’m sure it’s harder to put a review together than it looks. But you have to admit, it’s a lot of “non-tech vs. tech”comparisons! I’m guessing about 30 plus times you say some version of this phrase. A+ for your efforts. You’ll be the general manager some day in part for your attention for detail.

No rear center armrest ? Road noise is more dependent on the condition of the roads than the car.
How does it ride on rougher roads? Do you feel every bump, or is it pretty smooth overall?
@@DanielBeard-bt7mn very smooth but a little noisy
Thanks for the input! People should find these things useful.
Have you changed the low rolling tires?

I agree, well, the inflator kit is for a flat or something if the damage is not to bad. Many manufacturers are doing this.
@@VagabondBuilds I read in some forums that I can get a spare tire kit (like a donut I guess) from Acura when purchasing the car. Is this correct?

Just sealed the deal on an S-spec Tech with 6-speed. Red with Orchid interior.
Congrats on the beautiful car! The orchid interior looks so premium.

@@tomm7505 One reason I bought this was the probability that manuals would be disappearing. Figured I'd grab it while I could.
@@brucestrickland8561 Indeed!
Is there a way to opt for the full synthetic leather rather than having suede seats in the front?
I don’t believe so.
a-spec non-tech, as shown in the video
A-Spec Tech is the only way. you getting way more value for that extra $2k, no regrets down the line.
I hear ya!! Thanks for the feedback!
Does the leather not look better then the suede seats to you guys?
I’m a huge fan of suede to be honest

No it doesn't, the American version doesn't come with heated seats, wireless charging, fog lights, or full digital dash 😢
