    I have a question.
    Why express pace bowlers like brett akhtar and tait have their bowling arm close to their hips in the action. What is the science behind this ?

    • @AK-tr5rh

      More leverage, Note fast bowlers when their front foot lands the arms are almost 180 degrees. for max rotation.

    • @subhojitdey1357
      @subhojitdey1357 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They hve side on action so tht thing gives them more capability to generate more pace also it helps them to avoid being injured in side arm bowling ur hips & shoulders should be parallel just ur head should be straight & foot position should be 1 feet towards the batsmen & other one should be towards the non strikers stump thn flip tht toe after landing the feet just a little bit & stretch tht &after delivering the bowl take half or little more steps of the total steps of your bowling runup towards the batsmen.First of all u should Know that fast bowling is not bowled with body strength 80% of it depends on ur core & lowerbody strength,speed &endurance

    • @Lifezzhackz
      @Lifezzhackz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@subhojitdey1357 right brother it depends on core u can be front on and fast too like varun Aaron it's about a rhythmical run up balanced jump and smooth landing

    How about shoaib akhtar? He was bowling 96 MPH at 35 years Old?? with broken knees and flat feet and joint problems??

    • @VarmanSaab
      @VarmanSaab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What is your point? Shoaib Akhtar had tremendous will power but these fitness issues caused him to only play 46 tests while Brett played over 70.

    • @faisel786
      @faisel786 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i know but the bretts fitness trainer is wrong to say brett was the only one to maintain his speed, shoaib also did with his playing injuries. Shoaib was a better bowler and much more difficult to face then brett concluded top batsman in his time

    • @VarmanSaab
      @VarmanSaab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Shoaib's action is tough to maintain and/or coach. Brett's was much smoother. No doubt Shoaib is a legend though

    • @faisel786
      @faisel786 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes i get you, never the less shoaib for me in the late 90s and early 2000s he in my eyes was the greatest, fastest and most feared bowler in the world.

    • @VarmanSaab
      @VarmanSaab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No doubt;his action made him hard to pick for the batters but his action also got him injured and consequently "hard to pick"for the selectors :)

  • @Ingens_Scherz
    @Ingens_Scherz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I used to bowl fast (ha ha ha), but I was a mangy nag compared to this thoroughbred racehorse, and I was ready for the knackers by my late 20s. My point? Training a nag is one thing - you might get some marginal improvements especially in the plough-pulling department. But training a racehorse like Lee, in contrast, is like harnessing uranium! You're going interstellar.
    So, you know, go easy mate. We can't all be a one-of-a-kind!

    • @mitchellenglish8699
      @mitchellenglish8699 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the ball full drive, short duck, back foot block or pull or cut and good length front foot block or drop and run if field out.

    Argubaly Lee and Shoaib the two fastest bowlers of all time! Period!
    Why? Because who else can we say that has bowled 150kph for 10-15 years
    And every spell they bowled was literally average speed of minimum 90mph?
    Alot of bowlers have bowled rapid for 1,2,3,5 years or for spells!
    But no one can sustain it like them two

    It’s a shame people bodies start shutting down at 30-35. That’s when you’re at your smartest with the game. Know the game, know tricks. Then your body just says, I’m done pal. 😢 wish you could bowl fast till 50 before the body gives up.
