2005 - 08 was when he perfected his craft. Still managed to bowl 150-155 clicks but with much more control and skill. Who didn't wanna be Binga growing up! A cricketing icon!
@shahmianas8512 No, that's incorrect. Lee wasn't capable of 150-155 clicks at this stage.. In fact he never registered those types of speeds in this series, more in the 140s, up to high 140s. In fact after the speed tracking calibrations changed, both Lee and Shoaib fell in pace by 5kph...which means the modern days guys like Wood and Nortje would have been high 150s top speed back when Lee and Akhtar were measured at those speeds prior to the change in measurement.
@@relevantbrother8964 Actually champ, you are incorrect. The yorker wicket, for one example, was clocked at 151kph. You probably should fact check that rubbish you posted because it’s categorically false. Lee was in-fact managing to hit speeds in excess of 150kph during this era. It was these speeds paired with his increased accuracy and length that managed to put him among the best in the world from 05-08. Please don’t try and correct people with incorrect information.
What is great about Lee was that even during his final years, he was still able to maintain that 140km/h + speed with consistent line and length. A true but underrated fast bowing legend of Australian Cricket ❤️🇦🇺🏏
One of my idols. He was the best at sheer pace and intimating short stuff, but then perfectly following it up with full balls or Yorkers. Not only that, he could swing it too.
His celebration was also equal fearless as his bowling.. that teams attitude was fire altogether.. bad boys always wants to win the game through any means
Brett Lee has the perfect demeanor for a Fast Bowler. Confident, aggressive, and deadly! Add that to his exceptional skill and brutal pace, it's no wonder he's one of the best fast bowlers of the last century.

The fact that Wasim Jaffa has the audacity to talk and tweet about Australian cricket these days is hilarious. The man should never say another word after he was humiliated so badly in this series hahah
Lee had lost some pace but was still in the mid to high 140s and often used the new ball, got outswing. Biggest thing is the way genuine pace scrambles footwork with so many caught in the crease.
Australia were declining by this point. McGrath, Warne, Langer, Gillespie And Martyn had already retired then, Lee and Gillchist retired at the end of this series.
I believe he dismissed every Indian batsman atleast once in this series. He was on fire. Tendulkar was his bunny this series. But yes, Ganguly shouldn't have been given out in that Perth game.
