    I had a Consulier for over two years as my daily driver. Earlier, I helped with the concept and development. Warren was fanatically devoted to weight saving and the consequent benefits, and it showed. I ran some laps at Woody Creek (near Aspen, CO) and was more than a second under the existing IT-A record. And I was carrying a passenger!
    It was comfortable for its class; everything worked (thanks to the proven off-the-shelf bits), and it was cheap to run. Except for tires, but that was my fault. Never touched the engine, but I spent quite a while trying suspension settings, which (I believe) were ultimately incorporated into Bobby Rahal's school Consuliers at Charlotte.
    The unconventional styling? Well, let's say EVERYbody noticed it, including the drivers of the Lambos and Ferraris I met on the road.

    The incredible start of Mosler

  • @onefortheroad2291
    @onefortheroad2291 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I remember these being reviewed in all the car magazines back in the day and some of Mosler’s later designs (even a Cadillac with two north star V8’s. One in the stock location, one in the trunk). About 10-12 years ago a few of these came up for sale straight out of the Mosler facility. I believe they were mostly used and a few unfinished never sold cars. A few were fitted with the TIII engine (2.2 Chrysler 16 valve engine making 224hp, lifted from the Spirit RT and Daytona IROC RT). The shame was I got out of the turbo Mopars for a few years when they came up for sale. Nearly all of these cars were purchased very reasonably but mostly to guys who weren’t actual “turbo dodge” guys. Sucked to see a piece of history go to the guys who bought one and then joined the forums with 2 posts to ask what kind of engine was in it and noob stuff. Oh well, missed the boat on that one
