I agree with everything you said. A coach can ONLY do so much with a lackluster roster. I'm already concerned (coming off a worst in the NHL year) that the scoring will be lacking. Sure, they've upgraded the roster and hopefully they'll put more scores on the board. We'll need it.
Same with luke. I cant remember any standout great descisions by him, but i remember him ram rodding megna, tinordi, and centerman reichel down our throats for over half a season. If hawks get into playoffs next year were redwings kinda screwed long term
You can hardly say that Luke has gotten a real opportunity to show what he can do as a coach. Anyone calling for his head at this point is really, I don't want to say an idiot, so I wont. They just steadily had fewer NHL caliber players snd more injuries as time went on. Someone who's opinion I have come to value, Shannen from "The Hockey Guy" was touting him as a head coach when he was still with Montreal. I always got the impression that he was disappointed that his hometown Canucks didn't hire him when they were coach shopping, especially when The Hawks hired him. I gotta think that he is a major reason that players want to come here. Take the example of Mike Babcock for example, nuff said?
Starting to second guess all of kyles draft picks. Gajan didnt make sense and wasnt the best goalie. They say you cant be a hawk if you cant skate. Boisvert cant skate at all but they picked him. Alot of reaches when this team has no track record of developing players ( vlasic maybe, reichel lolol)
“Can’t skate at all” is an exaggeration especially when a lot of people wanted Liam Greentree. That guy is by far a worse skater and Boisvert has issues but he’s not necessarily a bad skater
QUESTION OF THE DAY -- What Are YOUR Thoughts On Luke Richardson Through Two Seasons?

I think Luke is doing to rebuild this team if the Hawks get to the playoffs next season

Weird how I see a lot of hockey channels with no axe to grind who rate the Hawks picks very highly, including Boisvert.
Perhaps you should be the G.M.

Many other people rate his skating as good. He's going to be big and strong and will probably skate through someone rather than around.
