One correction: Some people might say that nothing is 100% safe, so it is slightly wrong to say that PPF / EPF are 100% safe. But there are relatively a lot lot more safe in my opinion. So you can say it’s Almost 100%

I don't support any political party but judging by the dynamics in overall Maharashtra, at a greater level, there is only one possible union which looks in winning position! The democracy thrives from having multiple political parties with strong local and national presence, which ironically, never happened in the history of our country. It's time that one should focus on local questions and how upcoming local govt can make life better for you. This is not the first bank in Maharashtra that went down, but due to sheer magnitude, this is a bigger problem and can't be ignored! Also, thanks to internet these days, this sort of news are reaching the target audience. The auditors should also be held liable who failed to flag.
