- Today we are trying lechon kawali for the first time in the philippines! We are stopping by a new filipino restaurant called Lasa and trying some of their delicious filipino fusion food! We got chicken inasal, lechon kawali, garlic rice, and two very interesting drinks: a coconut de leche shake and a green mango and cucumber juice! It was a good meal a try filipino feast!

The purpose and logic of the Vinegar is to balance the fat oilyness of the food that gives extra zest and kick and for the fatty oilyness of the food to become less stinky....Analogy it's like Hot sauce and pizza or fries dipped in ketchup... It's a game changer to put certain things in certain balance and order and control for what might be a possible excess and too much in taste and texture of certain food that some people might not able to handle.

Hey, Biscuit Boys! Here's a FANTASTIC idea for your Christmas series in the Philippines! Why don't you try the Filipino Tradition of Christmas Carolling? Where you go in front of nearby houses and sing Christmas Carols, then after singing, Filipino families living in those houses will give you money.
Imagine Trick or Treat but with money instead of candies, and in Christmas month instead of Halloween.
You can then add the money that you will collect to the Giveaways!
Just sing "Jingle Bells" in front of a house, and people will automatically know what you are doing, or you can ask some local kids to teach you other songs.

You should try the pork bbq from Mang Inasal, its a bit small compared to others but i really like the flavor
They already had a video about it. They ate Mang Inasal bbq with unlirice as the challenge.

Since it's the holiday season, try the main dish for many filipino households, which is the xmas ham. I suggest getting a chinese Christmas ham from either Majestic Ham (rustans, makati supermarket,unimart) or Excelente (Quiapo, Manila)

Nice, Santa Trifate :) Pork dishes are pretty dang goood. Lechon kawali, regular lechon, bagnet, barbeques, sisig, cripy pata, etc.
Understandable that you are not fond of vinegar. Pinoys, on the other hand, love it to the point of sipping it whenever possible haha
I find it common for westerners not to like vinegar much but it is the opposite for asians.

Filipino barbeque is really one of the best tasting. I remember one vlogger who went back to Thailand and complained about Filipino cuisine. He happens to be a vegetarian and couldn't find enough options because Filipino cuisine is meat based. I'm so glad that the biscuit boys love Filipino cuisine. If you also Wana try Filipino salads with a twist try Via Mare inside the powerplant Mall in Rockwell. They also serve oysters in cheese and garlic and it's baked. Vinegar is probably not for everyone, but since a lot of us filipinos grew up with fried street foods, we got used to it.
lechon kawali is best dipped in vinegar/ soy sauce/ chili oil/ garlic mix
