    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Hey Danny, super helpful! The title page of the video says “Don’t look at the ball” But if I understood you correctly, we should still look at the ball-just with our head doing the water-out-of-ear exercise, right? For me as a beginner, it would be mayhem if I wouldn’t look at the ball.

it's great that you use multiple methods to teach; audio, visual, kinesthetic. Golf is mostly about the feel when hitting a shot but you also have to see the shot in your mind and on the course. You keep it simple and concise.

I needed to see this. I've been struggling all week with making consistent contact because I was rushing my backswing. The thing about this game that's so intriguing to me is how important confidence is for making great shots. The times that I've played my best were when I had the smooth flowing swing that resulted in great contact/striking. When that's happening you almost get in a zone where you know you are going to do it over and over again every time you step up to the ball. That's when this game is so much fun! But all good things must come to an end. We let a few bad shots get into our heads and brings more bad shots. Then we want to toss out clubs into the pond and quit forever! 😂
Thanks Danny. I'm going to try to incorporate this drill as a way to reset if I feel like I'm rushing.

Great lesson that can effectively be part of any pre-shot setup. I have watched on TV Tommy Fleetwood doing the 9-3 routine and did not correlate that to his wonderful ball striking capabilities, likewise with Anna pouring water from both ears. This along with the catapult reference makes for some smoothing of the swing into an effortless swing. Keep these drills coming!

This really works well. I figured this out going to the range myself. I started thinking about how Tony Robbins talked about teaching people how to become marksman by starting close to the target and moving away. So I reduced my swing a lot and I started hitting the ball straight and farther.

Hi. I tend to always go back to a too rushed swing. And I need this 1 and 2 in my head. You have mentioned that several times. One time you suggested saying 'Ernie Els'. But I alway saying it faster and faster in my head. But now I've found the perfect words. 'Severiano Ballesteros'. That gives me the perfect rythm. 🙂

This is a great lesson Danny. One question is about shallowing the club on the way down. Can you tell me how that's achieved regarding the circular motion shown in the videos? Thanks.

Hi Danny, another great video! Really liked the last tip, which also lead to a question I'm hoping you will answer. Is the ritme of your swing depending on the weight of your irons and strenght in your arms? So in other words: your arms should never go faster than the inertia of your iron mass/arm strength? It seems logic but it could lead to more feeling when striking a ball?

Love this approach, Danny. Add speed, but do it smoothly. My best swings happen when i think 50% and pivot through the ball. Really like the way you explain a simple way of swinging without being mechanical.

Fantastic tips, as usual. I'm going to the range tomorrow to try it. And looks like a good pre-shot routine to try if things aren't going well during a round. And I expect that the Orange Whip would be good to use on the 9 - 3 drill.

Great Danny. But that flies in the face of the L to L that I have been using as a drill, where the wrist is bent. Your reaction?

Great video as usual Danny. I watched Tiger doing the 9 - 3 drill and have been trying it myself for a couple months now. I'm always amazed how much distance I get. Probably 90% of a full swing! Can I ask tho, what club would you recommend using with it?

You are FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! I've always struggled with the dreaded "chicken wing." I believe this will fix that for good. I'd rather have a perfect 9-3 swing, than a full swing with a chicken wing!! Good Lord, I feel like that could be a poem!! Thanks again, I really enjoy, learn and get excited about working on my game with your instruction.

This is the first of your videos that I’ve watched. Initially I thought it might be one of those click baity ads that promise to make you scratch in 10 minutes with one simple trick , but for once the content delivered on the promise of the title. This is the clearest golf lesson I’ve ever had. The analogy of a heavy bag is wonderful. So understandable and actionable. You’re a very gifted teacher and I’m grateful that you’re using this technology to share that talent with us. Thank you.
