I think my favorite part about you two's reaction videos that separates it from everyone else is not only the fun, witty banter between you two at the start, but specifically the fact that that's the _very beginning._ There's no repetitive intro that loses my focus-I'm immediately hooked to listen to you two, and I love that.

And then Ruby not having enough hope to fill the jar (which due to the camera angle holds Penny’s doll) is… a big yikes. The sisters got called out. Lindsey’s voice acting was so good this episode holy shit. I actually teared up at Ruby’s eulogy for Penny. “I say we follow it and stop pretending we know what we’re doing.” Bees! Give therapy to all these kids please.
If you go back and listen to whenever they’re talking about Atlas falling, it sound like they’re inadvertently blaming Ruby. At least, that’s how she perceives it.
I share your appreciation for a non-spoilery evolving opening sequence. My favorite example is Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, whose first-episode opening leaves out the wormhole opening at the end, since the wormhole is discovered in the course of that story and IIRC had not been mentioned in promotional material.

i already have a theory that Ruby is causing the rain because she is the new maiden after Penny's death and her emotions are causing the weather to be affected without her knowing it.
the rain is a normal thing in the Ever After, it seems that emotions cause it. The guards said "Hey over here, someone's sad!" just before they jumped out of the bushes, and Weiss said it was only raining on their group.

Weiss's chill walk was the highlight of the episode for me 😂
I knew that last line by Ruby was going to hurt you both.
All of Weiss' hijinks and hitting herself in the head, and Ruby noticed NONE OF IT. She is consumed by her grief.
