GREAT video and novel idea. I've used magnets before to elevate the material about the honeycomb so I can see that the cut pieces have totally cut through. I like this idea because it give me better precision in placing the magnets. Another winning video Rich.
Awesome! 👍 Thanks Larry!
I like the new logo, Rich!
Thanks Randy!
Fantastic work as always! Wishing you all the best from Scotland.
Thank you Jim! Cheers!
Great video, Rich. I will certainly be implementing this idea from now on. Thanks for sharing & that was a banging tune
Glad you enjoyed it David!
Dang! He's got his own theme song! Thanks for the great tips!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 👍
Great idea Rich. In all my years of using hold down magnets, I never considered putting them in the middle of the wood, only on the edges. Thanks rich.
YW Steve!
I really like the background music you started using!
Thanks Steve! 👍
Hey, the earlybird gets the video! As usual I learn something new. Thank you Louisiana Hobby Guy. Enjoy the tune also😊
Thanks 👍
Love the catchy tune!
Thanks!

Many thanks Dirk!
Thank you for the helpful and useful information, Rich. You're my go to person for any laser engraving or lightburn related questions that I might have. I didn't see a link to the gold string with the clasps in the info section. Am I missing something.
No, I did! Here they are: amzn.to/3WNoj8y
Fantástico trabajo, y un buen consejo para los niños.
Thank you!
Like the music
Awesome! 👍 Thanks for watching Brian!
Thanks for the video! The reviews for the magnets talk about how hard it is to separate them, will they easily come off the 1.5mm thick wood?
Yes they do Jesse. Just don't let them get stuck to each other.
LOVE the theme song! 🤠 Couple of question. How thick are your magnets? Not sure that would work for us whose lasers focus 2mm from the workpiece. Do you never have issue, using warped wood, with the piece popping up and hitting the laser?
Mine are 3mm, but you can get 2mm magnets on Amazon: amzn.to/3V54eJk
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy If those are exactly 2mm, though, that is the focal length, so they would still hit. I'd need 1.5mm for just BARELY enough clearance. But... maybe I can find some that thin. I appreciate it, though.
Where can i get those magnets i have some in my Amazon cart but I'm afraid they will not be thin enough
I got the World's strongest magnets on Amazon Nicholas: lahobbyguy.com/magnets
Great video and music. Quick question can you use the magnet method with a Thunder Bolt without sending file multiple times from computer to machine?
Yes you can Vera! Hit Start in Lightburn instead of Send.
Which magnets do you recommend
These are best I've ever found Peg: amzn.to/3VgnyUa
Hi Rich, I need help . I have the 5 watt sculpfun laser. Was working great until it stated to skip. Would burn .the laser would keep moving, but not burning ,than burn . Can you help me. Thanks.
Double click the layer and make sure Tabs / Bridges is not on.
I tried that did not help and now my framing is giving me a problem. I don’t know what to do. Love the handmaid’s.
Should I put it back to factory settings?
In the console, type $RST=* and press Enter.
That did not work. It's only the first letter.Than everything is fine.
How would you ship something like that?
I would cut it with tabs turned on and 6 or so 2mm tabs, and then ship it as a flat pack, with wood on both sides.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Thanks
I always enjoy Riches videos, you learn so much...but...no offense Rich but these personalized music tracks are really over used and for me is a lot like fingernails on a blackboard.
Sorry about that Bob, I love them and I don't overuse them.
Well I got it LB fever 😅 much thanks rich , u got me hooked your lessons are awesome 👌 can't seem to get my Y axis dialed in, but I think I figured it out where I b mucking up , x axis dead on , thanks again rich gonna drop $ on u soon
Awesome! 👍 Thanks so much for the support!
Awesome tip! How do you keep your honeycomb so clean? Mine looks like I murder people on it LOL
With a pressure washer Mike.
try LA Totally Awesome spray. Spray it on and let soak for a few minutes and then wash with garden hose with nozzle set to the "jet" setting.
Dawn Power Wash foam is much better.
