Took class with professor Robinson in 1974 at SUNY Binghamton. He brought C.L.R James to our campus for a seminar.

I read Cedric Robinson's "BLACK MARXISM: The Making of the Black Radical Tradition" back when it came out in the 1980s. I need to read it again.

Thank you for this video brother. I can say confidently, that without your work, I probably would've never heard of this book. I've just bought it and I'm deeply excited to read it. Much appreciation!

How do you both assess the work of Hubert Harrison with regards to the Black Radical Tradition?
Also what is your position on Theodore W Allen's 'Invention of the white Race'?

The only way out of this is through the spirit, and not through the gross matter.

Is "I Mix What I Like" a play on Biko's "I write what I like"?

But how is Black Marxism separate from Marxism? Liked folks like Huey, George Jackson, were contributing to the Marxist tradition (of course with the influence of Fanon, Malcolm X etc,) but also Lenin, Mao and other marxists.
