  • During Black History Month, as the U.S. pays homage to African Americans who have changed the course of history, the establishment shows us a revised version that omits a critical piece: the Black radical political tradition.
Featuring interviews with Cornel West and others, and with speeches from legends like Mumia Abu-jamal and Angela Davis, Abby Martin provides a snapshot from the 'Black Radical Tradition In Our Time' conference held in Philadelphia.
This conference brought together around 1000 organizers, leaders and activists from around the country, with the goal of “challenging white supremacy and capitalism in anticipating the next stage of the Black liberation movement.” multimedia.tele...

Powerful words. Cornel West is one of my all-time intellectual heroes, and his voice is inspiring as few. Abby, it'd be awesome if you could interview Falguni Sheth sometime. Her work on race and how it is a a technology used by liberal powers to control the unruly has created a huge turmoil in the world of political philosophy. Her work is absolutely amazing, and if nothing else, I'd recommend everyone to read her book.
Thanks for doing this Abby. You're one of the few truly free voices left in the country.

I attended a free Mumia rally in Sydney - Most attendees were white Australian University students. We screamed outside of the U.S. embassy till we were escorted by police. Beautiful thing about oppression is that it shows you the righteous ones that oppose it - skin color is NOT a prerequisite for Righteousness.

Build a better future by imposing collectivization on the individual and controlling his means of generating an income? Fuck off!

1 mistake some people make is that they think greed /materialism.. fiat man made $ with artificial value put on it is success. & that artificial value they put on $ tends to override the value of human life. Which is a serious problem.
& Capitalism $ power & our monetary system actually is a detriment to equality ,peace ,progess & freedom .Because Tesla & other inventor's "Free Energy " devices they developed & effective alternative treatments Drs. Discovered has been suppressed because it threatens their monetary gain & control of people. So the elites & the shadow government keeps the technology for themselves while other people needlessly die ,suffer & starve ...which becomes the ultimate destruction of people & planet.

keithempower Capitalism is premised upon private property rights and limited state intervention in the market - this renders Capitalism as a system which both permits and encourages economic independence on the part of the individual.
The right to determine one's own economic future and be self-sufficient is what makes Capitalism a commendable and enlightened system - that is not to say that Capitalism does not have its flaws and does not get abused (it most certainly does).
Socialism, on the other hand, is premised upon economic dependence on state and community - this holds back innovation and exacerbates parasitical tendencies among those who choose not to be self-sufficient, which is unfair to those who are innovative and choose to be self-sufficient.
As for Abby Martin (who has been employed by foreign and hostile governments, such as Russia's via RT and Venezuela's via TeleSUR, to tout anti-American propaganda), can you tell me why you praise her?

Ze'ev Jabotinsky Abby exposes the flaws & corruption of capitalism. in which she's not able to do working for corporate controlled mainstream media.& If capitalism encourages freedom & independence then inventors wouldn't have their free energy devices surpressed. they would be allowed to make "Free" energy available to everyone ..& they wouldn't make living independently off the grid illegal.
As far as socialism. they're are different forms of it.. (1) when people are fighting for livable wages after the government robs the people in the form of taxes that are used to oppress the people & create man made poverty & a larger wealth gap between rich & poor. (2nd) kind of socialism allows for example Coop farm or food businesses to feed communities ..& give people's the social services to be able to not only survive but prosper collectively .& for example the fire department is a social service needed to maintain a stable society. & socialism is essential in a society where humans are naturally social beings.
The great socialist inventor Nickolas Tesla wasn't permitted by capitalist bankers like JP Morgan to use his creativity to produce free energy for everyone.

keithempower Your little friend, Abby Martin, is an apologist for the enemies of Western civilization - her employment history is proof of that, as are her rants against Wilsonianism and Zionism. In addition to this, she does not seek to reform Western civilization by promoting Socialism there, but merely to denigrate Western civilization and avoid discussing the injustices perpetrated by its enemies.
As for this notion that "humans are naturally social beings", I agree (at least to a point). But on the other hand, humans are also self-interested beings and can benefit more from pursuing their own individual agendas as opposed to being complicit with the state and its parasitical constituents.

WOW!!! Mumia explains the white supremacy in the USA so perfectly. My favorite quote is ''In a police state, everything they do is legal''. Very true. There's more than 300 unarmed people who died by the hands of cops, the majority of them are blacks, yet the majority of these KKK in blue uniforms have been charged and convicted of a murder.
