Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. I am very sorry for what you have to go through and the struggles that you’ve had on your journey. Please let me know if I can help any other way. I’m glad that you found some of the information, helpful already! 🫶
I’ve just found your channel this evening and I have to say that you are the most engaging and interesting teacher that I have found yet. I subscribed and liked your video , but I want to hear more of what you have to say because you are so informative of many things in life that we deal with and I thank you and I hope your channel grows.
Thank you so much for this kind comment and support. I started the channel only 6 months ago and it’s steadily picking up steam 😄 any topics you’d like me to cover specifically?
I think, without scientific proof, that cardio is the most effective for me. Whether it's the half hour walk, snow removal (shoveling and snow blowing), stacking firewood, or lawn work (raking and leaf blowing), I feel better after. Local physical therapists were worthless and lacked understanding. I've also cut back on worrying and trying to explain what is happening; that's a self-defense move since my doctors were suggesting anti-anxiety meds which I don't want. Anyway, thank you for all your excellent advice and videos. They've made a difference.
Thanks for your input! Cardio seems to be a crucial component for my patients and it only makes sense that if stroke, migraine and concussion are treated with cardio, 3 PD another central nervous system disorders should respond positively as well! And you’re welcome; I am so happy the information is helping and you’re doing better 😀 thanks for the comments and support too; the channel keeps growing ☺️

I was diagnosed with cholesteatoma in 2013 and had surgery for it. It came back in 2017 and I had another surgery. I had a hearing bone taken out each time. I never had any issues until recently. Im supposed to see an ENT once a year to get my ear cleaned out. My ear was good each time so at some point, I stopped going. I was due to go during the pandemic but everything got shut down and since I wasn't having issues I just never made an appointment. Since I hadn't been in so long, i decided to make an appointment. When the ENT started cleaning my ear i started feeling dizzy. That usually happens but always goes away before i leave the appointment. This time I've had it every day since April 30th. She says i have an opening in the balance canal so she was thinking she disturbed it when trying to take the debris out of my ear. It was so bad, i had to leave work. I wasnt driving. I was referred to a vestibular PT. She suggested a lot of what you put in this video. I still have dizziness but it has gotten a lot better. I still get dizzy when brushing my teeth, sometimes when I do the dishes and when i exert myself. I have started driving again and ive been to target a few times which I am proud of because before I would have to stay in the car while my hisband goes in. Anyway, long story long, thank you for this video. I love the calmness in your voice. Makes me feel like i can overcome this. ❤
@@shannonmejia3626 thank you so much for sharing your story and how much you’ve overcome so far. vestibular issues can be completely life altering and it sounds like you are persevering and climbing your way back to your normal function! Hello, do you make an online consultations? I need someone to discuss my recovery with pppd. I've watched your videos, but still don't understand some things in my case.

@@treatdizzinessathome2023 I will have to describe in more specific my condition. I've had a vertigo episode 5 years ago and then it became pppd in my understanding. I know about pppd, and I was diagnosed by neurologist and audiologist, for 2 years now. I cleared all medical and physiological causes through years. I've done psychotherapy multiple times in this years, worked with neurofeedback for my nervоus systems also. After I found out about pppd I starter VRT in a clinic in my country. At that time my symptoms as far as I can remember, was mostly unsteadiness when walking, when standing, feeling of movement in the body and in the head, when I am still, pressure and tension in the head, blurred vision, lightheadedness, less often a feeling of true dizziness, somewhat avoidant behavior towards busy places. My symptoms was much more seddeled when I was at home. At the beggining of the VRT my symptoms was fine, they didn't flare up much. I did gaze movements, body movements, started with 2-3 repeats for each excersice and they told me that the goal is 10 repeats for excerise. Every week I increased with one repeat each excersice. When I reached 6-7 repeats I started to noticed that I am starting to feel more and more dizzy during the excercises and during the day. I felt a few times when I did the rotation excersises, vibration feeling in my head. I think I reached 8 repeats of my excersises and I came back to the doctor to say that I feel much worse, but he couldnt tell me why is that. Only prescribed me antidepressants, which I didn't want to take. So I stopped this therapy, but after that I continiued to feel worse than I was before it. I have to say that I was never bedridden, I always move around my home, I do all house tasks, I do cardio and strenght excersises at home few times a week, I go outside when I feel more stable and do some walking and standing outside. I almost every day go outside and ride in a car around the city. So I think I have many things that make my habituation to be balanced again. I understand the neuroplasticity and I have different focus during my days. I manage to feel calm most of the time and to give time for recovery. But the problem is that it isn't happening. Despite all of it I have many flare ups during the month, I feel much more symptoms at home, where I haven't before. And every task outside is a big challenge which cause anxiety and frustration. I try to push myself, I just don't see something to make any difference even it's the opposite. So I don't know what kind of a plan for recovery to follow. I'm confused what leads to what. I'm sorry for my english, but it's not my first language. I will be very much thankfull if you can help me.
@@treatdizzinessathome2023Hello again, please, can you give your opinion about my case of recovery. I wrote ten days ago, may be you didn’t saw it. Im really trying to figure my way of recovery. Thank you
It is entirely possible for your symptoms to be from PPD. But remember PPD is initially caused by an underlying issue, do you know what your initial cost was? A lot of times if it’s an inner ear dysfunction, I use the analogy. It’s like you’re trying to fly a plane on one engine. You can still fly your plane. You just won’t get very far. My point being is that you’ll get tired throughout your day And have a lot more trouble processing day-to-day tasks and stimulation versus someone who has a normal functioning stim system. Does that help? As always check with your doctor to make sure iron levels are appropriate, your vitamin D serum levels are appropriate, and your vitamin B 12, which is responsible For energy levels. If you ruled out any vitamin or mineral deficiency than nausea and fatigue can simply be from 3 PD. Or a vestibular issue.
@@lauraschmuck5565 there are other possibilities like recumbent bike, maybe shadow boxing, swimming or rowing. Could you do any of those? Even 5 minutes at a time is better than nothing at all if possible. 😊
Can you suggest a particular exercise/habituation for PPPD that is triggered by doing computer work? Also, I was told not to use the treadmill, that it was confusing my brain because I was running and not literally going anywhere; however, the treadmill does not seem to worsen my symptoms, so I’m assuming it is OK to use treadmill with PPPD if it is not worsening my symptoms ???? Thanks for your contributions with video instruction, much appreciated:)
I would agree with you; if you have no symptoms on the treadmill it’s a green light exercise in my book! As far as the computer is there a particular action or task that bothers you? The scrolling, do your eyes skip when reading, dizzy when you look out then back at the screen? Or is it more the light ? We have to try to tease out what specifically may be your trigger in order to habituate or help ☺️
It is hard to pinpoint why the computer triggers me; however, my vision is fine according to drs., but it seems to be more aggravated if I am reading the computer and then stand up or look away the head feels dizzy.
@@qrf654 I would say yes, but there is an intentional form of exercise called habitation that is basically exposure therapy.
