Loved it, need more and it'll be really nice if you show what problems or situations you face every set and how you handle them. Much love and respect.
RLFO I like to watch all your videos. It's very interesting and educational. Please do not quit it. I can definitely say your videos are different from others and yours are good.
it is very very helpful to see all the gear you use professionally because it turns out I'm using nearly the same exact setups, like down to those Powerex batteries. so yeah, these are pretty damn useful!
I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos. But I admit, sometimes I need to rewind your vlogs and freeze the playback to see details on how your devices hook up to your mixer. I especially like that you post links to the products. My new 633 should be arriving soon and excited to put it to work using some of your ideas. And yes, a small fee to upload large files after the shoot is not out of line... Keep up the good work.
Hey man! your videos are very helpful. both of them. the review ones and these "on the road" ones. specially for people not having the chance of using expensive gear.
here is a tip.....carry a few un-opened cards like cf or sd or usb sticks....if some one asks if you hav spar...sell them on...like 20%off RETAILPRICE....but....buy in bulk wholsale so you make a proffit
Backups totally worth it. My 788 stopped reckognizing media post-lunch last week on day 2 of 6. Got the media by dissasembling and reading SSD with a SATA reader but had to borrrow an F8 for rest of show and learn it on the spot. Who made your L cables? Would love to commission some. Thanks!
How much money do you reckon you have spent on all that kit? I'd love to see a video on what you think would be a good starter kit. What could someone starting out get by with on a small Indi-Film.
Hey there bro, I know I’m a little late but such a great video!, please continue with videos like these and on that note I have a question for you. Where exactly did you get your cables custom made at? I love the right angle L-shaped TA3 mini XLR cables with that blue cap you have on them, they look hella sweet! as well as the right angle XLR to XLR ones as well, your cables are amazing looking and right with nothing running around in the bag, ha ha...
I am kinda in a different part of the world. Could you tell me please? Are you using hma lectro with lmb for wireless booming? And I am thinking also go wireless. Those cables ahhh, for now don't have budget for lectros. Do you think for money rodelink newshooter kit is good starting point? Coz I saw your video how you compared lmb vs rodelink vs... I forgot sorry :) thanks again for doing all of that.
I use my hma with my src dual receivers or my LR single channel receiver my Lmb its another transmitter to be use with a lav mic or as a ifb feed, I still have my rodelink always bring it with me as a back up I would definitely recommend getting it as a start kit essential I hope that makes sense cheers thanks for commenting !!
I know reviews are fun, but I like the videos that show more knowledge...like how to do things or what it really is to be on set...those are better, keep them going!! and by the way, how do you record when it's raining? the mic gets wet and it could be damaged, no?
I don't charge for simple uploads 1-2 gig. Anything bigger I send a drive in a pre-paid return mailer. Producer's know when they are being over charged, I don't nickel and dime for an hour or so of extra work.
Yeah simple uploads I wouldn’t charge for either. Although since everything’s going digital they really should think of somebody to just manage the data. I worked a film as data wrangler, it’s a bit stressful as your literally responsible for everything. And if you think about it going back to the film days they had somebody that was responsible for running the film around and making sure it got back for development. Back up back up back up. night before I copied everything Else to a secondary drive it was mostly a few redundant folder structures that I didn’t have copied but I said let me do it just in case ...... the next day due to a weird technical glitch in windows after we exceeded 1.5 TB halfway through the shoot. The technical glitch caused an overflow after 1.5 TB and it overflowed and over wrote the allocation table causing the 2X 16TB raid-1 to drive to look empty. Spent the next four days copying everything back using USB 3.0 instead of faster Esata.
Could you do a video on time code and your set up and how to use it etc. I have tried to find a decent youtube on it but just a lot of useless fluff and no real intelligent info
