    In Mexico City, we call "the Bermuda" technique, an "empanada". Also, there's another technique my teacher taught me and it's called a "cama" (bed), basically it's made of a plastified clip, you have to curve it the way it protects the capsule.
    Saludos Rodolfo

    Try that lmc/moleskin sandwich minus the lmc mount and minus the joes and that's what I use 99% of the time. I do reinforce the back of the moleskin with Topstick to make it extra sticky. Also makes them reusable (just add a new sheet of top stick).

    Great video Rodolfo, thanks! I tried to use Transpore 3M skin tape and stuck it right on the URSA Foamies. But it was so hard to unstick this tape from foamies later...

    • @RLFOSOUND
      @RLFOSOUND  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the foamies the problem it’s that it’s a one time only some guys tape some moleskin to the foamie so it can last longer I will desmontarte on a video soon !!! Cheers also send me a picture of the way you use the 3m with the foam !!!! Cheers

    could use some advice for mounting a lav under a hat in heavy winds. any thoughts?

  • @POLARICED
    @POLARICED 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Using the triangle technique will surely stick it to clothes, but will it remove the noise from them?

    • @RLFOSOUND
      @RLFOSOUND  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For any light movement scene might be good for a heavy action scene with lots of movement I recommend any mount with sticky stuff

    Great advice! But what about entry level lav mics? Like the sennheiser ME2? I used the bermuda method on it, but it would not stick for very long (tallent would drag in his shirt from time to time and alot of movement). I do not have the budget to get this higher end lav mics at the moment, and the ME2 does not have these fancy mounts either.
    The best methos i found is cut a piece of microfibre fabric and tape it over the ME2 to make the shirt-sound lower. However, the tape would still transfer a good amount of russle into the mic. Any advice? Thanks

    Do you ever work with side addressing Lavs? I'm looking at the Oscar Sound Tech OST-802's, which are side addressing. THey also make a COS-11D style mic, the TL-40, and I could use those techniques you showed here fine. THanks in advance for your response!

      I haven't used a side one hiding sure creates complications with those but you can apply some of this techniques let me know what works for you !

    Good stuff man but one thing I've never came across on youtube is how to hide the lavalier transmitter on both male and female. Specially female, lets say its a wide shot and she's wearing a dress, how the hell will one hide that??? In general how would one hide a transmitter on someone.
