I am not sure why some ppl are commenting and saying this girl cannot do a video about lace front wigs because she is not black I am assuming. I think she actually works at a wig company, maybe this is just how they do it there, they are more for cosplay than looking natural I think.

I randomly stumbled across this video and I see I can help! To hold down a lace wig without glue and worrying damaging your hair. Try "got to be glue" spiking gel. Place it around your hair edges place the lace over it and arrange it to style. Tie something around the font of ur hair for about 20 and boom!! It can hold for a couple days no problem! Just use water to take off. :)
Jazmine Trinae im planning to buy wig grip because I can't find got2beglued in my country but does it work? Can it hold for days?
Gowther Helbram I've found got2beglued in my local pharmacy but I'm sure you can buy it online as well! I highly reccomend it!
@@muiithehappy6148 it works if your head is not hot and you do not sweat. If you sweat and are active or you have a head that radiates a lot of heat got to be glued will NOT work. But if you are the opposite of that give it a shot!
FYI-- And if you prefer to remove your wig at night, plain hair-spray squirted across your hairline will also work, Tap a damp wash cloth across the area at night when you are ready to remove the wig.

Finally! Maybe now more girls will just buy a wig instead of dying their hair and damaging it/being disappointed. Unfortunately, when people see videos or pictures with black women in them, they assume that it's not for them and only for Black women.
sad. and then when a non black woman does anything like this video they get back lash because people feel that they can't do this too when it's kinda adding to the stereotype that only black women wear weave and wigs when not all do and that other races do but they can't even show others that they do because of close minded people.

I was agreeing with you but when people see things that the black people do or wear they assume they cannot wear it or do it at all because of close minded people coming to videos like this and telling non black people that they cant do or wear something because they arent black. make sure you aren't putting your real hair in a Ball on top of your head under the cap. I do it more at my base of my neck

You need to Combe the wig very well and prepare it like a real hair by putting on the dummy. Later well prepared wig you need to wear on your head.

when people are preaching about cultural appropriation and how she's just not good at putting on wigs but like.... she works as a model for rockstar wigs. thats a cosplay wig website. it means that since putting on wigs is her job, she is not bad at it. She's probably better at it than the people saying she's not good at it. And also, how is a dang wig cultural appropriation? Just because it's got lace in it? She's wearing a wig because it's convenient for her and she likes it. She is not trying to be a different culture.

Having just purchased my first lace front wig I was totally freaking out watching this video because she answers all questions I had. She is awesome and as I already have had wigs and hairpieces I can say she does a really good job. I was worried not to treat the lace front wig right, but her explanations are very clear and I am not a native speaker. Brilliant !!!!
Could you maybe do a video on cheap wigs for us people that can't afford a 40 dollar wig? Maybe on the best cheap wigs, how to make cheap wigs look a little less crappy ect.

+Skyler You can occasionally find good ones on Ebay for $20. You just have to check reviews to make sure you're not being scammed. But otherwise, better wigs are gonna be higher priced.
From my experience as a cosplayer. The cheaper the wig, the higher the chamce of it being crap. it also depends if you want a wig for cosplay or fashion. Fashion wigs are in general expansive and can be at least $100. Acosplay wig worth $30-40 is probably heat resistant and of course not crap, or shouldn't be.

It is soooo helpful to see a white person doing a video on wigs! I 100% understand that all the wig innovations and upgrades through the years have been because of black woman.They're the reason wigs are so beautiful AnD versatile and modern and easy to find today. But in terms of tutorials, they were difficult for me to follow along. My favorite being a video having one of the steps, "Just cornrow your hair." It IS NOT the same as a tiny French braid lol

That’s like saying that you’re saving up for a car like a sedan and then someone saying why not invest in a Ferrari. Is a Ferrari better than most sedans? Sure probably. Will a sedan do what it needs to do. Yeah absolutely. Most people don’t need full lace wigs when lace front wigs do the job.
Since I wear wigs for cosplay, I kind of learn all of this from my own experience, (it's common sense, honestly). I did not know so many people would get upset about a white person wearing wigs. Plus she is the spokesperson for a wigs company so...

I wear uparts and full lace wigs only and i love them. I havent played with color yet but I play with length a lot. I feel like wigs are now a more normal thing and it's awesome.
I just ordered my first wig last week. It is a bright pink lace front. I have been watching sooo many videos on how to make them look more natural, but every single one was of someone with natural color hair. Now that I have seen your video I am confident that my new bright pink wig is going to look extra natural with my bright pink hair ;)

charlotte clarkyhtdfg Aliexpress has $15-$30 lace fronts. It’s where I buy mine; I lost my hair due to illness and now I just buy natural looking wigs there. They take about 2 weeks to arrive
@@iHeartHPandTwilight I do the same thing, I have alopecia and got my lace fronts (and regular) wigs from aliexpress. You can get some seriously nice quality ones without the insane price tags I find in local stores.
@@Silverity My first wig was $1,200 and they didnt even bother to tell me how to do anything with it. I've learned more from Alexa than anyone. Also I now know I dont have to spend that insane amount of money and still have a decent wig.

Thanks so much for this! It was very well put together for a beginner like me. I’ve been watching tutorials for about a week while I prep a cosplay wig, and while those tutorials have been informative, they all assume I know at least a little about what I’m doing, which I absolutely do not. This was a great step-by-step that explained even little details that many people might not think to even include.

Costume/Cosplay wigs, front lace wigs, full lace, u-part, extensions, just-- a lot!
You can also contact the seller & a lot of them get back to you in 24 hours or less!
PungoPungo is a great seller & she's really nice! she has lace wigs & stuff.
Kasouswigshop is also a nice seller & she sells a lot of costume wigs!

Most Tutorials Assume You Know Everything!
They would look even more natural if you cut some baby hairs. The straight across line makes it look more wig like instead of real hair. Either way I enjoyed this tutorial and loved the wigs😊 thank you for taking the time to explain how to secure them!

Wonderfully done, sweetheart! I ended up cutting my hair pixie style prior to my (attempted) enlistment considering buns are a pain to do for my hair type (fine, but I have a lot of it) and it's far easier to take care of. However, I miss having long hair at times and want to do more with it. Extensions are expensive for someone getting paid minimum wage so wigs are the next best thing. My first lace front is showing up at some point today and your video is so easy to follow. Since my enlistment has been delayed (exactly what happens when cars don't yield to pedestrians when it says walk) I want to do something fun with my hair.

I'm new to wearing wigs and I was shocked to see that the side burn area covered the whole ear. Is this really how they are suppose to go. How does a person wear glasses with it glued down?

No this is not how a wig is worn. These are cheap mass produced crap wigs. Buy a good quality wig and it will look better than your natural hair.
These "cheap mass produced crap wigs" she's using are not at all cheap. Did you even see how much they cost? The first one was $49.99 (round to about $51) while the other was $79.99 (round to about $81 and it was originally $127). If they were priced this way, do you REALLY think that they would be made cheaply. I'd like to see you wear a "natural lace wig" that "looks better than your natural hair".
P.S. the wigs she's wearing are from the website Rockstar wigs that she models for. You should look it up. Affordable, but good quality

These wigs are made more for cosplay and stuff and not to look natural but if you want it to look natural I’d check another video

I bought my first lace-front wig from Rockstar a few months ago as part of my cosplay for DragonCon (Gretel from Hansel and Gretel Witchhunters) and I admit that I have been VERY nervous about even cutting the extra lace in the front off, and styling it in general, but your video was SUPER HELPFUL and has made me much less nervous about the whole process!!! I don't think you can really properly dye a synthetic wig. I tried with Rit Dye More for synthetic fabric and it didn't take. Let me know if you ever find something that works tho

Try clip in extensions first - maybe a fringe extension - then a wig with a hat - work your way up to it.

This video helped me out a lot. I'm planning on cosplaying Yasha from Critical Role for Halloween, and the wig I found for the cosplay happens to be a lace front wig. Because of this video, I now know how to put on the wig when I get it. Thank you so much! :)

could you please make a video about how to cut and style wigs? I have a wig that fits me really well but...the bangs are to long and on the wrong side of my face. it's the first wig I have ever owned so I really don't want to ruin it.

Cat E.S You can just cut the wig around your ears. You can cut ear tabs or just trace around your ears
