    Hey Mike great video. If you were to use it on gelcoat as you shown in past videos, would you prefer any in particular

    • @autogeek
      @autogeek  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably the original - the XC 3401 VRG or as I call it - The BEAST!
      Why? It has the most RPM and OPM and you need everything working for you when working on neglected gel-coat. If the gelcoat is in excellent condition, then I would use the Supa BEAST. -Mike Philips

    Hello Mike, greetings and love from India. A question out of context, I've seen you use Sonax Glass Cleaner for various applications. I'd like to learn more about that. Like, what are various other things I can use a Sonax Glass Cleaner for?

    • @autogeek
      @autogeek  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use it for,
      Prep Wash - both waterless and rinseless style.
      www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-to-articles-by-mike-phillips/126153-sonax-glass-cleaner-prep-wash.html
      Also as a clay lube. Probably other things but that's off the top of my head. Wait, I also use it for a glass cleaner. :) -Mike Phillips

    Can I use this tool, in my case a CBEAST, to apply a wax or sealant as a mobile detailer?

    • @autogeek
      @autogeek  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Heck yeah! When applying a wax or sealant you could easy switch over to a 6" backing plate and a 6.5" or 7" foam finishing pad and really cover some real-estate FAST! -Mike Phillips

    Love your videos Mike!! Question: Do you think Flex or Rupes will ever come out with a 15 mm or 21 mm gear driven polisher??

    • @autogeek
      @autogeek  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No. That is TOO large of a stroke for gear-driven. It can sound good on paper but in the real world - you could not hold and run that buffer over car paint. -Mike Phillips

    Mike, I have a Makita P05000 gear driven polisher. Saw an older video of you covering it but noticed you don't sell it through Autogeek. Just curious why you don't carry it or if you have any thoughts about it. I personally love it plus it's ability to switch to free spinning.

      Pad and compound and polish is key and most importantly pressure you put on the machine, try the microfiber and finish with the yellow rupes, sonax cutmax and perfect finish as far as speed 1-3 and just guide the machine with minimal pressure and compare it with a little bit of pressure and see which fits you best. try not to run run pad dry, should be damp and clean or switch ur pad every panel. Hope this helps

    At one point, you said listen to the engineers and trust that they did everything for a reason, but then you went against their suggestion and put a 6" plate on the Supa BEAST? Any reason why other than bigger/faster?
