  • In this video I am showing you how to disassemble and take down an above ground swimming pool. We purchased this pool from our neighbors and reassembled it on a level pad I excavated. The setup and assembly will be featured in a future video.

Kids are all grown up and the pool only been used twice this summer so we decided to remove it. It’s 15 years old so selling it is not really an option, only disassembling. I wasn’t there when it was assembled so this video is really helpful. Grown up kids will be the helping hands I will need for the job 😀

My wife bought one of these wallet thieves about six years ago. After a recent 3-4 days with temps in the teens once again the motor froze (even after putting in pool antifreeze). That was the last straw and she has given me permission to take it down (halleluiah!!). So far I am to the point of taking down the wall itself. I'm glad I watched your video before I started. I don't have any extra help so it's a slow process for me. I appreciate the fact that you focused on the task itself without a bunch of annoying music or off topic chatter.

Is your pool in good shape? Put the pool up for sale or free on Facebook or Craigslist. I can almost guarantee someone will come take it for you. New pools are expensive and hard to find. Lots of people are looking for used pools and quite a few comments are from people doing just that.

Great video Jared! We moved into our home about 8 years ago and there was already a pool that looks to be about the exact same size. Over the winter, the liner has ripped from the wall and we decided as a family that we will just take it down and replace with a sitting area and possibly a fire pit or something. What stinks is that we JUST bought a new set of steps AND replaced the pump just last year! I'm hoping I can get everything apart (according to your video) in fairly good condition and try to sell ours too! Thanks again!

After 15 years of life, our pool partially collapsed due to the weight of snow and ice we had this winter in Québec City 🇨🇦 The liner is torn. It is unusable, so we bought a new one. The company wanted to charge us $500 for the uninstallation, but thanks to your video we will save that money. Merci! 😃
