You just cannot beat an all in stew! I tried to make 2023 a year of doing things on bikes I’ve never done before. Attending much more organised events, biker cafes, Horizons Unlimited travellers meeting and the ABR. Not to mention a big solo trip. For me at least the smaller events have been more fun. Let’s bring on 2024!👍🏼

Yeah it’s just a down to earth fun, motorcycling event. We both wish we had stayed the night as the party was kicking in as we left (work commitments sadly). There’s plenty of room for camping there or even sleeping in one of the rooms inside the building. So you could almost turn it into a long weekend event.
That looked like a lot of fun, not sure if clubs run anything like that over here, probably but as I don't belong to any clubs.... nuff sed. As for rain.... it hasn't bl**dy stopped here for weeks. Supposed to be dry next week.... but cold.... AWESOME! Happy New Year. 🥳
It was Gavin who invited me along to this event as he had heard about it from a friend of a friend. Neither of us are affiliated to this club so it was nice they welcomed all bikers to the event. I suppose it helps generate revenue as well. Still great little day out. I genuinely think I had only ridden to work, in dry conditions, three times in the last two months. It’s been pretty much full on rain and strong winds…mental and it’s getting a bit annoying. Oh well chin up and soldier on I suppose.
@@GreenString I am fortunate to be retired, but we have a couple of horses, so I am out in the weather every morning. Same as you, wind and rain, every day. It is what it is...and spring is just around the corner... he says with a fixed / forced grin on his face.

@@JedHorner-k6u Definitely. Funnily enough I was just editing a shot with your bike in it yesterday! I need to gather in all the SD cards from the other camera bikes that were out there on the day (I forgot to collect them at the day). Then I can trawl through the footage, but I’m on it. I hope to have that video out at the back end of next month. Stay tuned. Incidentally, as you’ve been recently wading through the back catalogue of videos I’d be very interested to hear what type of videos you find most interesting/ entertaining? Judging from my statistics most viewed are review videos (not surprising) but most subscribers come from the tour videos. If you’ve watched any of the tours or single overnight trips which did you like most? I really need to start deciding in which direction I go in the future as it’s a bit scattergun at the moment. Anyway cheers for now👍🏼
@@GreenString If I’m totally honest I am enjoying them all, I hadn’t realised that this kind of riding was just so popular. The scenery is stunning on the long tours and the commentary whilst riding is excellent- the short stops also add a great deal of value as I find that it is on these that you tend to go a little bit deeper in to your load out for the bikes. Targeted reviews of the stoves and luggage I have found to be helpful and informative, I would imagine less views on those unless you are in the market for new kit and always worthwhile to get an unbiased view, whilst not a fan of tank bags I have been looking at the Kriega R3 bag that you use which may be the solution to my needs. Morocco & Norway NordCap 👌 the others I will be watching later Keep it up and thank you for the enlightenment 😊

To be honest I’m not chasing numbers I just want to have a diary of our trips to share and try and be a bit helpful to the wider biker community, personally I’ve learnt a lot from other riders on TH-cam so I just want to give a bit back.
