@@MissPerle13 I think I. That I stance you can have different style clothes for the weekends or for your personal time. A lot of people who work in a corporate environment dress very differently at work and in their off time.
@@pappyone6062 yes for sure, but I still have to buy and wear clothes that I don’t really like 5 days out of 7... And, frankly, wearing unconformtable clothes during the week, when the week-end is there, I just want to wear leggings and an oversized sweater xD
My spring/summer and fall/winter style are entirely different vibes and I'm okay with that. Why shouldn't I get to dress more feminine one season and live in my combat boots in the winter? It's fashion and style, there are no rules except the ones you make for yourself
I love classic style and dress that way in the Fall and winter. Come summer my style is much more relaxed and casual. I do not work and enjoy dressing the way I want in the summer-I dress for myself. Nothing says we can't be different styles. It is also fun to blend them.
Big props on versatility of your style throughout the year. I have a similar way, were my style can shift with the change of seasons. It’s good to shake things up to not get stuck in a style rut.
The “imitating” style is so real esp now with social media! I’ve realized I like parts of other’s outfit/style but the rest is for me to make unique. Knowing your style takes trial and error sometimes.
Wow ive never thought of “style” this way, as a teenager it’s difficult, cause there’s always kind of this pressure to know if your matching a certain aesthetic and I always find myself having a bunch of clothes that work together yet together they don’t follow any specific style, and this video has taught me that it’s completely normal
I was just at Target with a gift card and had no idea where to go. Then I realized my love for simple things. No pattern or words unless it’s simple. I needed more outfit builder items rather than stand alone items.. so I went basic and got a few cute t-shirts that I can wear daily, and some jewelry that I just loved.
I used to ask people for clothes for Christmas and stuff. Because when you’re finding your style you can never have too many clothes, right? Nope. Now I have a bunch of clothes I didn’t pick for myself just laying around in my wardrobe, and a crushing guilt every time I go to donate them or throw them away. Yay!
I find op shopping (charity shopping?) the best way to experiment with your style and explore what you like, especially on a budget. I have ended up with so many fun and creative items! From high quality pieces to really unique handmade items. The best part though, its really easy to re donate if you don't love it! Its basically like renting the clothes then 😂 I have worn dresses once or twice and being able to redonate them guilt free. Now someone else can love them!
This!!! I’ve been so confused when people say “skinny jeans are out” or “that’s not your style”. Like some days I want to dress like a upper east side grandma and some days I want to dress like Hailey Williams.. it all depends on my mood. I also don’t understand why people limit theirselves to mainstream so much when style can be so fun.
My issue is that my personal style does not align with the hot and humid climate that I live in. Sweating constantly is a huge obstacle. I also think I avoid certain favorite tops because my strapless bra is uncomfortable...
Totally! Climate can make things tricky sometimes. I have the opposite problem because we get such cold winters that I just want to wear 10,000 layers and I don't even care what I look like on some days when it's way too cold 😂
Do you need a bra? If you’re not comfortable going without there’s tape for support, nipple covers for modesty and chicken cutlets (those stick on bras, often silicone) that can offer both. I know not everyone can go braless for a variety of reasons, but it’s worth a shot if it could improve your comfort and health.
Salena Richards…same here!! Where I live it’s so hot mid May to end of Sept all one can wear is dresses or shorts. I HATE shorts, but have no choice or I would be sweating like a pig continuously. I have a couple dresses that I like, but not practical to wear them day to day.
100% agree with all of these tips, especially the ones about not feeling like you have to fit into a particular style category, and the difference between admiring/being inspired by someone's style vs. imitating them directly. These are definitely both things that I've been guilty of (especially when I was younger), and they ended up resulting in a lot of frustration and acquiring pieces that didn't really work for me.
i like what you said about copying someone's style and being inspired by someone's style. I have done that. I go through all kinds of stages. Right now it is the French style which is just staple basic pieces with a little pop of something. Then I love pieces that stand out. So I my wardrobe wars with itself but I do have most of the pieces in my wardrobe to do these two styles. The only thing is, my lifestyle has changed and I don't get to wear my beautiful pieces much. In this time of covid, we are home a lot and things are dressed down a lot. What's a girl to do?
Slightly envious of those with a strong signature style that seems to flow easily from work into play. Hate "theme" looks for myself. Find fluidity is important. It can feel a bit disjointed otherwise balancing the more formal with the more informal. WFH has changed things. However there is a more strict 9a-5p corporate look that might not translate into the rest of your life. A person can be forced by circumstances to dress in a certain manner for their job, but will choose quite differently for their free time. You might want a dating/clubbing/concert/pm look; a casual outing look; a chore look, a sporty look, a church look, & a special occasion look, etc.
Thank you so much! I have a mall trip coming up as a Christmas present, and I’m supposed to be finding my style in this trip. My mom wants me to have at least a little bit of an idea of what I want but the more I look up, the more substyles, and peoples own ideas of what those styles are. It’s been making me question if I even like what I’m looking for. I think I’ve got an over all idea now that I think I want an earthy grunge look but I didn’t like everything I saw so I couldn’t tell if I chose wrong. Thanks again, I felt instant relief upon hearing your words.
I love the 1st point you made, I think it works for almost anyone! I dress vintage, both reproduction and authentic pieces, and I absolutely LOVE the golden age of Hollywood where the women just looked so classy and so put together. I tend to gravitate towards the 30-50s and have almost no modern pieces in my wardrobe anymore. This was exciting because it took so long for me to do this but I also kind of hated the idea of dressing one way forever (even tho I have never felt as pretty or as confident as when I dress vintage). Then I realized it was because I was trying to fit myself into a box, like you said. Most ppl in the vintage community find one era that they like and they tend to stick to it, it wasn’t until I saw videos by MissBeetown, where she dressed vintage from the 30s down to the 70s that I realized, hey! I can do that as well I don’t have to stick to just dressing like the 40s. All of a sudden I felt so much freedom and happiness with my wardrobe, while still aligning myself with my own personal style which was still dressing vintage. Some days I dress in 30-50s very polished and put together...other days I dress 60-70s, or even 90s when I want to be more chill. It makes it so much more fun to experiment with your wardrobe when you don’t fit yourself into a tiny made up box of rules for fashion lol
Point #1 took me aaaages to unlearn. I definitely got stuck in that mindset for a while (thanks in part to all those 2000s magazine style quizzes!). I definitely get that doing that makes it EASIER to mix and match things and also helps prevent people from getting sucked into trends and winding up with a wardrobe that makes no sense...*but* if you know yourself and you know your style, you don't have to.
This video spoke to my soul!! I realized I have more tops then I could wear in a month, yet alone before I do laundry. I have “a closet full of cute pieces” there’s tops that I love but don’t ever wear and the reality is there are 20 other tops that I love and will grab before that top. This for me was a slap in the face with the fact that I simply have too much clothes and need to get better at rotating pieces. I bring new pieces in and my old favorites get moved down the list only to never make it back into the pre-laundry rotation. Just because a top is cute and I can make a insta worthy outfit with it does not mean it fits my personal style or life. Love this video and will be keeping theses ideas in mind as I do holiday shopping 💕
I know the feeling oh too well! I was the exact same way for a long time! It's easy to get distracted by the cute things and impulse buy, but it's all about being intentional
I’m relieved I watched this video. I’ve been super stuck between sportier, natural and outdoorsy stuff vs. modern sporty. I totally thought I had to pick 100% of one. I also fully agree with the no-labeling thing because we’re too unique to fall into a niche. I used to let people label me as a tomboy, so I never let myself wear ANYTHING more feminine because “it wasn’t me”. Throwing away that stereotype cuz I’m confident in being a woman now and want a dress. I love pants more, but sometimes you gotta be a fairy princess from a magical forest, Y’know?
Another tip is to stop settling if your heart is set on something. As women we buy things because we need to fill a void. Not because we love the item.
@@gerlindelang they also buy things, see guys with huge collection of sports memorabilia (more socially acceptable like women buying fashion) or plastic figurines (less socially acceptable). It manifests differently a lot of times but most of us just trying survive coping however we could afford.
yep, it's like anything..it takes time. and thought and effort. once you get commited to that, then you start to see direction and results. i used to do monthly capsules but this year my goal was no buy and wear everything i own so now i do weekly outfits to make sure i am wearing that 'white elephant'. it takes time. but it's very rewarding and i always look put together. i cannot do 'what am i going to wear today?' or 'i have nothing to wear!' Take care xx
Ah I love this! I think this year was especially good for cutting down and being able to work with what we already have. A good learning lesson all around :)
I have trouble because the clothes that fit well are super out of style and I don't feel confident in them. I also love feminine styles, but they don't look good on me. I am also super practical, so I end up dressing quite frumpy but functional. But I never feel confident
@@strwberrygirl84 What type of fit issues do you have? For me I wear size 0X-2X and a very big chest and I can find fit difficult because plus size clothing is a slightly more limited area, even more so when my chest is often a size bigger than the rest of me.
THANK YOU for saying this. I love black leather and spikes, I also love linen dress with converse, chunky long sweaters with tights and boots, as long as it’s simple and effortless, I’ll wear it again. Copying others usually costs me too much money and I end up donating it in a couple days 😒😒
thank you, I think my biggest problem is that i've been trying to fin into a box my entire life, and the problem with that is that i like so many styles. so it was refreshing to hear you say that i can have different styles instead of just trying to fit into one!. thank you, loved your video, and your style is lovely!. many blessings
Funny story! I was following you several years ago and was really loving your sweet feminine style, so promptly added some fancier pieces into my wardrobe, only to find that chasing 3 children around the house wasn't my thing whilst wearing these fancy pieces! LOL I loved all your points today and will putting be them into action as I continue to try to embrace my natural athleisure style. Thank you, Erin!
This was my first video on your chanel and definitely not the last one! What you said is so true. I spend a lot of time buying clothes I would wear in my ideal lifestyle. For example I love the way skinny jeans make an outfit , but I hate wearing them. I will pick different pair of trausers 9 times out of 10. I think finding my personal style got so much easier now I've realised this :).
I am so glad it doesn’t matter what we have in our closet! I work at a store where we have to wear dresses all of the time. I am a girly girl but I LOVE so many types of clothes. I just need to work on making my clothes work together.
Oh my gosh I totally needed this video! My style I now realize is all encompassing because everything works together. I do have too much of stuff I never wear or have stopped wearing. I think I need to declutter and then try to stick to if I buy something then something has to go! I believe this will actually allow me to understand my intentional style. That’s a good idea I will see if I can give the 333 challenge a go! Take care Erin 💕💕
You nailed this video. Thank you for the clarity that I have now. A wardrobe is definitely a work in progress; you’re so right, taking change into consideration is everything. Thanks again.
When I see something that inspires me from a fashion standpoint, I'll write down an outfit on my phone. I also keep a list of trendy items each season. Then I list items in my wardrobe that match those trends. It really helps.
🌟100% Agree. Fascinated by annual fashion trends. ✒Jot them down in the order they appeal to me, inclu. the "hot" colors. 🛍Primarily, use them to shop my closet w/a new perspective. 🤔Sometimes, it will help me define staple pieces that I would like to add. 📺/📸Through-out the year, love seeing how these trends come to life in fashion lay-outs, other media, & seasonal store merchandise too. 🗞This added layer of trending fashion further inspires me on how to refresh my own look as well as maximize my wardrobe. ☮💛🌼
Subscribed! Loved your points of view. I’m really trying to minimalist my closet! And it’s been a great challenge, but the good thing is that I definitely know what I love and don’t. I guess you could say I kinda know my signature style. Little by little I will have my capsule wardrobe ready.
awsome tips and advice. Yes, you can have different styles and not one cattigoriy. Find things you love for you and your lifestyle and for your pesonality.
I actually have the opposite problem of point #3, my closet is pretty empty so I wear the same thing over and over. Trying to build from scratch is stressful!
I’m preppy at my current workplace. Sometimes sporty, like on casual Friday. Boho in the summer (and I’m off from work in the summer so I can wear pretty much whatever). I’ve dropped the “rocker” look as I’ve gotten older
I don't think I have a personal style as what I love I can't wear as I'm plus size and can't find half the clothes in my size or they just don't look good. I tend to wear clothes which fit. But saying that I wear cropped tops. I can't stand long tops, so definitely part of my style, but again this is based on my body. I love your style!
All your points are so relatable. I was just realizing each point as you were saying them. I am stajnchly trying to stop myself from buying clothes that jst look good in the store. Please make another video wherein you can help guide me on how to shop for clothes that I can actually wear.
You really get to the point, basic and clear, you are adorable and I love watching you're videos and I'm 69. I think you are the best on this subject matter. The room you do you're videos in is also adorable. Thanks Ill keep watching and learning😉
Haven’t done project 333 but I’ve been trying to rotate most of my wardrobe, if there is something I haven’t worn for a while I’ll include it. Lately I’ve been planning my outfits for the next day on my head thinking of what is next on that ongoing list. It has made ne more conscious of my choices and overall I feel more put together, but since Covid, I’m the only one aware of that little self-challenge :)
I love that! I think this year was such a good year for learning, and things won't always be like this so it gives you a new perspective moving forward :)
One tip is to hang all the hangers backwards. When you wear it, you turn the hanger around. I realized through that process that I never wore the animal print top-really just not me so I would end up not reaching for it. So I donated it along with other stuff.
urgh god yes. i've only just figured out the 'you don't have to be in a box' thing myself recently. it's so obvious when you step back and think about it. i am eclectic but always felt caught between wanting different styles but not wanting too many things and didn't feel like i could combine them. I ended up really stripping things down for project 333 which was definitely a great start and i ended with with a fab cohesive wardrobe where everything worked with everything but i felt bland as hell and by thinking 'oh this piece doesn't go with my curation it's pointless getting it' that stopped me growing. i think it's also about not being too strict with yourself and recognising when you're in a growth period (either stylistically or waistline) and making space for it mentally and physically
Loooove the way you love everyone's uniqueness, that's so cool, also what I stand for. Also love how you don't uses boxes to label things or people ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
The things that really worked for me is trying to play with what is in my weardrobe and come up with new ways to wear what I have. Also honing in on those things that I am wearing and not wearing. I go thru my closet at least once a season now and pack things off season away. That way it is easier to have a fresh look at things when I pull them back out. I kinda just pull out things that I know I will be wearing. If I love something but will not wear it I pack it away and eventually I either decide to part with it or put it back into my closet roatation. Over the years I have found that it is the lifestyle I have that I need to have clothes for not the life I want, especially now during lockdown. I recently packed away most of my "nice" clothes to revisit at a later time. If I need them I can get to them easily but they are not in my closet taking up space and mocking me when I get dressed.
I really like this approach. I've always been interested in packing away my wardrobe seasonally but have been intimidated to do so, but you're right it gives you fresh eyes on those pieces after each season!
What recommendation do you have for women who went through trauma, let themselves go and trying to get back to track, but because of specific emotional/psychological state, loss of self- try and get even more down trying to find something. Would you agree that style is expression of inner state?
New here! Love your whole first point about labels and trying to adhere to one style!! I feel so the same. Some days I feel I want to wear something more feminine and flowy and other days I want black and edgy or just jeans and comfort. Why do we say we have to choose one style?? Like if i like classic style I can only by classic items? Or if I love beach boho, I can’t wear anything more tailored! Who makes these weird rules?! Great tips👍💜
1:47 I did exactly that with the boho and rocker style. 😂 But I came across a boho blog that showed the two styles combined and realized how well they actually work together. I didn't need to pick one or the other.
My problem is finding things in my style, in a cut that fits my body type, in my size, and at a price I can afford. It seems like stores only carry what the current trend is and online shopping is so overwhelming. So I'm stuck wearing what I can pay for that fits as best as possible
I've taken up secondhand or thrift shopping for the same reason! It excites me to think of it as a treasure hunt, and when I find something that fits perfectly (style, shape and comfort) it's like winning the lottery!
@@carissaagurkis4249 there are now free patterns online that you print out and tape together. The sizes are much more accurate that ones you buy in fabric stores.Love Notion’s Laundry Day Tee shirt dress is an example. My daughter in law, a brand new sewer was pleased with her first attempt. On the other hand, there is a ton of cheap clothing out there at
I'm the opposite....the things I wore 20 years ago I would definitely wear today. I have had the same basic style since my 20's. I do add a few pieces from other styles here & there, but classic, tailored pieces have been my go to since the 90's. I do love the odd flowy or edgy piece, but mostly I wear slacks, button up tops, blazers, shift dresses and knee boots. Things I don't own: jeans, white anything, sneakers, joggers, leggings 🤷 I have never had a huge wardrobe. I started capsule wardrobes in 2005 and found project 333 in 2013. Since 2017 I have only owned 40 pieces that get me through all 4 seasons.
Haha I was looking forward to see what the 333 challenge is, because I am struggeling to find my style, but I already have around 33 items (probably less!) so... do I reduce them even more or what?! I think in order to reduce to the items you love you need an abundance of clothes to begin with.
I really apprieciate my wardrobe I can find things yo wear and I dont have that frustration of never being able to find things to wear and even forgot some of the nicer clothes in my closet because you cant find outfits to go together if you have way to much.
Ok but number 3 called me put sooo badly. I recently declutter a lot of things that were old or i didn't wear anymore but now apparently I need to spend some time figuring out how to style the pieces i have and probably do more decluttering.
I love fall clothing so much, but i cant find my summer style. Everything is too hot, shorts look childish on me, summer heels HURT and i dont really like to wear sneakers . It came to a point where i almost ignore buying summer clothes and just hope its over soon
I often have the issue, that stuff I like on other people, I don’t like on myself. For example Chucks. I love Chucks, but when I tried them on, I found it looked rather ridiculous than cool.
Thankfully, my fashion style are not that extremely different throughout my teen until now (i'm 30 years old 😄). I always love a casual sporty style, with a slightly big clothes over a big jacket, a skinny tight jeans, and a sneaker. And if i feel more feminime on some days, i'll just wear a skirt or a color of my hijab (i'm wearing hijab btw) that makes me feel prettiest that days. The only change is that nowadays i prefer wearing pants more than jeans, with a straight cut or slightly loose fit, a classic type of shoes (mostly flat shoes), and a color palette that suit my skintone and my lady taste but still in casual terms. I guess i kinda already find my own style(?) 🤷
Love this! Sounds like you know exactly what you like and what you're most comfortable in which is the most important thing to owning your personal style
As a teen myself, right now, my current style seems almost exactly the same as what you wore in the past. I feel comfortable in causal/streetwear, I don't really like "dolling up" or making a big deal out of my outfit. But as I get older and enter college I realize that I need more variety in my wardrobe so I at least have something different in my closet when a causal style is not appropriate. I also have never felt comfortable wearing dresses or skirts without some form of shorts underneath and I would only wear them for special occasions (i.e weddings, family gatherings, or music concerts I performed in). I honestly don't think I'll ever get out of that feeling because I love being active and don't feel myself when my actions are restricted due to clothing. I am curious as to what your relationship with dresses & skirts was like as a teenager, was it similar to mine or completely different?
@@mistmoon1292 actually, for a wedding or some formal event I always choose dresses or skirts. And on some days, like I wrote at the top, if I feel like I want my look to be more feminine I choose to wear skirts (again, in casual ways). But yeah, as I go to college and graduate I always keep 2 skirt to go to the office (cause I've been freelancing since then and on some of my work needs a skirt as a uniform). I hope this would give you the answer 😊
Yes! Combining items! Playing 😊 As I was watching this a cool outfit just appeared in my mind 😍 My style is definately carrie bradshaw in sex and the city combined with blair waldorf in gossip girl. Sometimes it’s just hip hop though. Love to mix 😍😍😍
I feel like my biggest problem is that I look young and the clothes that fit me best are “for” younger people. So I gravitate towards clothes that are youngish or tomboyish. I guess I am saying my style is unacceptable for my age. I like it and wish I knew how to make it less embarrassing 😂 since I am clearly not a 12 year old kid.
I think my problem is that I have all these ideas and I love vintage style but I don’t know how to make an outfit stand out. I am rubbish at accessorising so everything looks very plain
I don’t even have 33 pieces in my wardrobe. My strategy is people can tell you have good style but can’t remember what you are wearing every time. With that saying, everything should be mixed together perfectly. But nothing is too loud so you can only wear once.
The abundance of clothing brands makes it incredibly hard to develop and maintain a personal style. This powerful industry constantly dictates what is fashionable and what is not, trends change every other day. Garments are purposely made with poor quality so we have to constantly buy new ones. We are supposed to do that to generate profit. Plus clothes look the same pretty much everywhere, especially from all those fast fashion brands which are mostly the ones I can afford at the moment. This makes it incredibly difficult to even find clothes that fit decently and look okay let alone allow me to create my own style.
My problem is I never feel beautiful in anything! To me, being beautiful would be looking in the mirror and seeing something completely different: if it doesn't make me feel new, it's not it !!!
tbh, I only got into fashion because of Animal Crossing. I love putting outfits together there and then recreating them with my own wardrobe. It's fun. :D
@@FrozenFireMeltedICe yup, that is kind of challenging... You can wear baggy clothes but you should wear a belt to balance it out and not look like a sac of potatoes. @@FrozenFireMeltedICe I'm in the same place. i like what you said about copying someone's style and being inspired by someone's style.
Lol the rocker chic box is my box 📦 but totally agree with you - wear what you want and let it be fluid!
You are so rocker chic and that's what I love about your style!
I'm conservative girlie, boho, edgy and starting to enjoy sporty
I love pants more, but sometimes you gotta be a fairy princess from a magical forest, Y’know?
yes I agree
Another tip is to stop settling if your heart is set on something. As women we buy things because we need to fill a void. Not because we love the item.
Ohh I love this! You're so right
well weird. so women have a void? how about men?

Same!
@@strwberrygirl84 What type of fit issues do you have? For me I wear size 0X-2X and a very big chest and I can find fit difficult because plus size clothing is a slightly more limited area, even more so when my chest is often a size bigger than the rest of me.
Maybe you could focus more on the accessories?
Thinking about what you would pair different items with, is a great tip!
So glad you liked it! The 333 challenge is so great, I learned so much from trying it :)
Good ideas!
@@miissCaroline Thanks.
Love this idea!
Exactly! Style should be fun :)
I actually have the opposite problem of point #3, my closet is pretty empty so I wear the same thing over and over. Trying to build from scratch is stressful!
I’m about to do a little fashion show for myself, building outfits around my shoes that I just went through! See how it goes!
Thank you!!! Because i like boho, preppy, edgy, and classy pieces lol
The last one hit home for me lol
I have 30+ t-shirts, half of which I rarely wear.
Thanks
Ill keep watching and learning😉
Also love how you don't uses boxes to label things or people ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
OMG!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!! You just set me free from my own self-imposed box!!!
Thank you for sharing! I have worried about putting myself into a box. Lol. I appreciate your thoughts
What recommendation do you have for women who went through trauma, let themselves go and trying to get back to track, but because of specific emotional/psychological state, loss of self- try and get even more down trying to find something. Would you agree that style is expression of inner state?
I can only dress with my style on Winters/Mid-Seasons
But in summer I cry...
Which blog is it?
Agree with your point of view. Thank you.

Thread up and Poshmark has helped me find the items I needed without the dread of hitting the mall.
Things I don't own: jeans, white anything, sneakers, joggers, leggings 🤷
I have never had a huge wardrobe.
These are good tips! Thank you 😊💫
This video makes me feel so good 😊 I was trying so hard to categorize my style. thank you so much !
I really apprieciate my wardrobe I can find things yo wear and I dont have that frustration of never being able to find things to wear and even forgot some of the nicer clothes in my closet because you cant find outfits to go together if you have way to much.
Ok but number 3 called me put sooo badly. I recently declutter a lot of things that were old or i didn't wear anymore but now apparently I need to spend some time figuring out how to style the pieces i have and probably do more decluttering.
you are so kind!!! I love you, beautiful soul

This video is wonderful. Thank you!
Thank you so very much for creating this video! Truly, this one came at the right time for me.
Me with only 30 things in my closet, maybe that’s why I can’t find my style 😂😅
I love the way you express ❤️
So happy I found you. I love your advice 💓

You might have heard this before, but you look like Robin from How I Met Your Mother!
I cold listen to her all day
I don’t even have 33 pieces in my wardrobe.
This is a great video! Thank you:)
My problem is I never feel beautiful in anything! To me, being beautiful would be looking in the mirror and seeing something completely different: if it doesn't make me feel new, it's not it !!!
My problem is my clothes don't fit anymore since it was only given to me... And can't let go of the sentimental clothes... 😥😥😥😣😣😣💔💔💔

You can wear baggy clothes but you should wear a belt to balance it out and not look like a sac of potatoes. Maybe with the belt though you wouldn't get the exact look you want. I'm in the same place. I love loose-fitting, androgynous looks, but I can't make them work after puberty and gaining some weight that went to my curves-no matter how loose, it partially clings to my curves and it obviously doesn't look androgynous at all, it just looks unflattering, and if I go even looser to compensate, it looks frumpy, like I have no idea how to dress for my size and just wear whatever people give me. :/ I think it's time to make my peace with not being able to work this style.
