The most inspired music I've ever composed on the Commodore 64. (I had an orchestra in mind at the time). Thanks for all the likes, compliments and all that! :-) :-) :-)
I always wondered which was first: the C64 or the Amiga version. I think the Amiga, because the whole mid section is missing there. So my thought was always you wrote that later, even though the computer was the predecessor of the two.
I listen to 8-bit Mayhem ALL the time. I try to predict what you'll play next, but then I fail, and then I wish I had thought of what you did. Do you offer any classes? I really have a huge desire to learn, and I really respect your work. You're totally my senpai! (✿˵☯ ‸ ☯˵)!!
Thank you for this music Mr. Tel. Overlord occupied many, MANY hundreds of hours of my time in the early 1990's I had to play Overlord at work because I did not get my own PC until 1997! It is 2024 now and I still enjoy this. Amazing memories you have provided me over the years. Kudos! Peaceful Skies
+BadMonkeyBrains Devine inspiration dude! :-) Chocolate, Coffee and a cig did it for me... (just to get me going)... I was only 17 or so... Just a kid with a gift. ;-)
I remember hearing this as a kid on my Commodore 64, and thinking yeah computer's make awesome music!! And even now my C64 is still running and for many nights with friends playing old games we have more fun with that even PS4! but with a Compact flash card for loading software, and 1gb in size has just about every program I want on that too, like the ultimate C64 hard disc, and so much faster to load than the old 1541 disc drive! Amazing system and it always will be, I love my commodore and and especially it's awesome SID chip!
Jeroen Tel Hey! You're Most Welcome! I Never Knew These Chiptunes Or Whatever I Should Call It, Sound More Majestic Than VGM In Most Games Today. Excellent Music!
But I got an Apple IIgs as a Christmas present and I wished it was as popular in Germany as it was in USA, I STILL use mine to make music it has an awesome sound chip made by Ensoniq, which also did make it expensive at the time but it was like a SID with 32 voices, either synth or samples (and running it as analog synth you you have full control of them with almost no CPU use, awesome chip!) if it took off as well as it did here, oh my, the little Apple IIgs was so not appreciated and it was a lovely little 16 bit system Apple made an Amiga killer but no one cared about it at all! :'(
But not only was it an awesome 16 bit machine and in ROM 3 versions had 4096 color graphics and beautiful sound...it could also run the old 8 bit apple 2 programs as native software! It did both, was an a amazing machine for the time and could also run even older software,Amiga could not do that, and they ran to match it until the AGA Amiga's, IIgs can do that sort of graphics
