This kind of visual treatment reveals the beauty of these compositions and explains so much about why good music sounds good to us. This adds so much value to these tunes, you are exhibiting them in the best possible way
This song, I was 15 years old, I played Hawkeye on the C64 with my 2 brothers. I was in love with a nice girl at mid school but I could n't reach her. This song always reminds me of that wonderfull intense period...
@Jeroen Tel (and I've messaged him directly) after a difficult few months and having been a fan of Maniacs of Noise since forever, this simple SID tune has gotten me through some hard times recently. The man is a genius. 😢😢😢

This tune / game brings back a bad memory for me. I ran to my local games store as soon as I heard they had it in. Loaded it up and it didnt work. Turns out the C128 tape was cut short in mastering so I ended up with a duff copy. Grrrr! Did endf up with an apology letter from Thalamus though which I have still today!
Great idea and will interest people in retro music, for all platforms and composers! Excellent :) This is why I did software oscillators in my PT-01 intro - BTW do you take requests? GRG in Cyberspace or some nice new one by Stinsen or Mr. Death :)
BOOZE & METAL Yes it is, and I am :) We are still releasing a couple demos per year, see Pouet.net! On TH-cam you can check out mine, KarpowSCX's, or Tomas Dahlgren's channel (Uncle Tom, he made the music for Mental Hangover).
Used to listen to this for hours in 80's. One of the best songs on C64. Jeroen made so many masterpieces.
It really is amazing what a Commodore C64 is able to do with a few Ks of RAM and a SID chip. Outstanding chip tune.
I think this song left a deep impression in my youth years. Thank you Jeroen! It's a beautiful performance!
Fantastic view on the 8 bit FM waves right there! Thanks for the upload! :-)
This is one of my favorites!
this theme should get an Oscar (best soundtrack).
Please make new c64 music lord jeroen tel U_U
Even after all those years this tune still gives me goosebumps. :)
This is one of my favourites from you to this day.
Jeroen Tel, the master of SID melodies. That pulse width modulation in the lead channel is beautiful.

Sad story bro, but this song is better than your platonic love ;)

the top wave was really well done, doing the chugs and the snares in between.
Honestly my favorite C64 tune
it's hard to believe that jeroen was only 15 years old when he made this tune.
A real savant
Actually 14 I believe. =D
@@JeroenTel Oh, my... How was it even possible? xD
@@LarsTragel-zh7ei Where the hell did you get that from?

Still sublime after all these years.

All waveforms were used, even the triangle waveform.
I love this a lot. I keep coming back to this video.
Man man man! Jeroen...wat ben jij toch een klasse apart man...uniek, goed en gewoon Maniacs! Grtz p2 / He@twav3
A masterpiece! I play it on the lute in Mordhau and people start freaking out!
awesome track!
Extremly perverse to see those sounds in such low level. However it s a big geek experience.
Ein unvergessliches Stück! ... zu einem wunderbaren Spiel!

Ohmygosh, how could they create the bottom waveform? :O
Cutoff and resonance.
High cutoff, and high resonance give that spike at the end.
+Blowtorch the Robot and vibrato. :-)
You can't do that on Nintendo! ;)
@@inphanta Not on a Sega either, wow! ;)
@@inphanta The SID Chip can do what Nintendont
Almost no filtering going on by the looks of it although there's some resonance to be seen mostly on the 3rd track.
