So much to say...I have the carry on, the carry on plus, the duffel, the sling and the weekender. Aside from getting compliments on my luggage in the airport, my original duffel had a piece that fell off of the bag making the clasp not secure my folio. I didn't report it to Monos until a few weeks after the 2 year warranty (which made me fully prepared to be out of luck). To my surprise after I put a claim in with them, they sent a new bag and told me to keep the old one. I was so grateful. The new bag, just so you know, had a redesign where this issue probably would never happen again. They are an excellent company with high quality and stand by their products.
you are lucky... received a bad luggage cover and still... they keep asking for more and more information and not solved after more than a month. Happy for you... but not the same experience for me.
We have the monos carry on classic and just got back from a UK tour (London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scottish highlands, and Warwick). These bags ran the gauntlet of planes, trains, automobiles, and of course cobble stone streets and we never thought for a minute that they would give up. We will never buy any other luggage. They are the best we have ever owned.
@@hemkumarbamjan2444the carryon usually is free. You have to make sure you get the right size. This company is one of the few ( posssibly the only one) that actually has the appropriate dimension requirements for airlines.
Just got the full Hybrid set (carry-on, Med, and Large), and unpacking it, my wife began to get upset as to how many times I kept saying "WOW", until she came for a closer look and began to say "WOW" herself. The bags are durable with solid handles, and great wheels. It came with tags, covers, and pouches for shoes or whatever. Just looking and touching this, you realize immediately that you've never seen quality luggage like this. I can't find a flaw in product or design. To cap things off, I needed to contact their customer service before receiving it, and can vouch for top-notch customer service. I think it's time I explore their other products, because I think I finally found a company that thinks everything through.
I have the hybrid trunk and hybrid carry on pro. It's a shame they only come in 3 colours aswould love the hybrid in sage green, banana or even a bright orange.
I’ve been watching your videos for a while this year as one of my favorite influencer sites… Trying to decide which piece of new carry-on luggage to get. After reviewing all your videos again, and another favorite influencer as well, I pulled the trigger today on Black Friday, 2023 and got them on us. Carry-on in black. Were the super total of $153! Can you believe it? OK it was $163 with tax but free shipping. I’m ready for my Netherlands trip December 2023 for my birthday. Can’t wait to pack it when it arrives!
I have the Monos Carry On Plus and I can say without a doubt it’s the best carrying out there! Took it intentionally recently and did not have to check it across two different carriers. The light weight combined with the great wheels and handles allow for easy movement across any surface! Great video breakdown!
Going on 3 years with a Carry On Plus for each family member. Able to easily handle a week's worth of clothes and if you are a kid, stuffed animals, books, coloring and snacks. Sometimes when we get home I don't unpack right away. Have left them outside on the porch in the rain with no issues. Also their packing cubes are the best. Clothes on one side, everthing else on the other. The case is super light and rolls over anything, very easy for a kid to handle even when he's bringing home ROCKS.
I used to go around backpacking with a backpack. Now I'm watching this dude and bought a monos pro... That how you realise you are getting old kids. Thing to note about the pro is the fact that you can put all your electronic into your front pocket mean that if you carry a back pack with you you end up with a lot more space than the classic well for me my laptop etc do take a lot of space in my bag! Great video!
I have the hybrid carry on, hybrid carry on plus, and the Metro backpack. I like them all okay, and they look great, but they are HEAVY!!!! Even the vegan leather backpack. When fully packed even the carry on which is smaller than the normal carry on (not hybrid) is so freaking heavy to lift. Uber drivers constantly comment on how heavy it is for being so small. It really does start to get frustrating as I travel every other week for work. I have even started perusing other luggage to try to find something lighter that has the same great look even though I spent a fortune on all this luggage. I have them in the champagne color and just know they scratch super easily. Even though I've never checked the bag and only handled it myself. It scuffs crazy easily. I think if I could do it again I'd probably buy just the regular carry on and not the hybrid. Although like I said it looks fantastic and I love the clamping locks. It's just too heavy to lift for a frequent traveler. I am a petite woman but I am strong and I can lift a lot. It's been a bit of a disappointment with the luggage and the backpack.
Oh my gosh THANK YOU for your comment! You cannot imagine how many blogs and videos I’ve hunted through trying to hear a real review from a smaller woman about the weight and handling of a FULL hybrid carry on when trying to manage it on solo travel. THIS is the one thing I needed to hear to make an informed choice. I appreciate this so very much! 🩷
@@stacecation9038 I am so glad it was helpful! I also struggled to find reviews and I was shocked that people when they did review said how "light" they were." I am not sure what they are talking about. His review is the first one that actually talks about how heavy they really are. Like I said I have both and I go for the carry on vs my plus because packed full I can barely lift the plus into the overhead and have to have help. It's crazy heavy when full!
Contact Monos. I had an issue with a bag...now it was a technical issue, but they may let you swap a bag for the nylon. The only reason I'm even suggesting this is because they have been amazing helping me be satisfied with their product. My daughter is petite and a gymnast so she's strong too. I tried to talk her into a lighter set, but she loves Monos like I do so we'll see. The Weekender is the heaviest I'm most concerned about because I haven't traveled with it yet, but it holds so much stuff! 😂
Thank you for your comment. I was about to purchase the hybrid version but was concerned about the weight. I love my 6 lb large Samsonite Cosmolite check-in luggage but wanted a nicer looking luggage. I'll get the Monos classic plus instead of the hybrid.
Boy I sure could’ve used this video before my trip to California last month. But I went with the Monos Classic carry on, and after having watched your video, I know I made the right choice. It’s a great bag! Love your videos and content - so informative. Keep up the great work! 👍🏻
I have the Monos Carry On Plus and have used it 4 times going over seas. I love it. I love the compression straps in this luggage. You can really get a lot in there and compress it down quite a bit. Love It
My husband and I own the Classic Carry On Plus. We took a 17-day tour of England & Wales and only needed to find a laundry once. We were able to carry them on the plane for the trip to Heathrow, but decided to check our luggage for the trip home. It did get a little scuffed, but Monos provided a cleaning pad to help get most of the marks out. I would probably go with the Classic Carry On for international travel due to tge smaller size. Overall, it's a great bag!
I have a Monos carry-on Pro and I love it! I made the decision after seeing one of your videos (I am super grateful). Thank you for your videos. They are super helpful!
I own two. First is the "Old Penguin" carry on. I have had this for awhile (before it became Monos). It is still in great shape. It's scuffed. However, that is the only issue (and since I've been around the world with that bag...I'm not concerned). The inside is as if were brand new. The second is the Monos Hybrid Carry On Plus. The larger bag works perfectly. It's light and sturdy (as it has been beat up a bit both carried on and gate checked. I don't review luggage...but this is as good as advertised. Nice review.
I purchased the classic based on your recommendation , for our month long trip to Europe. It worked great and I had enough room for everything I needed other than what I packed in my personal item bag!
New to the channel, these videos are awesome!!! The editing, production, b roll, stock use, and script are all super engaging. Video lengths feel perfect too! Killing it!
wow. Talk about timing. I have been on their website all day trying to decide if I should return the carry on plus I just received for the carry on or hybrid carry on. Your video came in time to help
I have the classic carry on and I purchased the Monos cover to protect from scuffs! I have the Monos small garment bag which is extremely functional!! It fits in the carry on perfectly and my sweaters are no longer wrinkled. I did not chose the pro version with the pocket because I use the Monos Metro duffel for items that would go in to the pocket.
Thanks for the review. I just ordered the Classic carry on in Blue Haze....got an AMAZING deal for $189 total. Not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining.
Based on your earlier comparison of the best hard sided carry on I bought the Pro Plus for a 2 week trip to Germany. More than enough room and no problems with it's size on the airlines I flew. I especially like the compression straps. On top of being a durable bag, it's just really a really good looking carry on.
What a timely video - I've been looking at Monos very closely and couldn't really decide between the Classic or Hybrid. I will be purchasing the Classic after all. Thanks!
Great review. I used to travel for work 2x/month and find my soft sided luggage gets really beaten up. I'm now getting close to retirement and plan to do a lot of travel, so investing in a high quality hard sided carry on is a strong consideration.
An excellent, well-organized, in-depth analysis of the Monos suitcases. I never realized that I already have 2 of the Monos carryons from my Drunk Elephant Trunks 4.0 and 5.0! I haven’t used them all these years but will be using the trunk 5.0 which is the classic carryon size. I can’t wait to use it! I wanna travel light and love ur recommendation for Merino wool clothes. Thanks Nik! Great videos! Top notch! 😃👍🏼👍🏼
For a European river cruise last year, we purchased a Classic for my wife and a Classic Pro for me. When we initially packed and weighed our bags, we found that my Pro was overweight for the airline we were using. Solution? Repacked, with my wife’s (lighter weight) clothes in the Pro and mine in the Classic! In hindsight, I didn’t absolutely need the front pocket Pro model. p.s. Airline never checked dimensions or weight…
Thanks Nik! great video, as usual, but you did knocked me off the fence (I’m OK ;) - I went ahead and ordered the Classic one after weeks of endless hours of luggage reviews. Now I need to figure out what I’m not taking on my next 3 months Italy trip. You’ve forced me to simplify and that’s a good thing - “less is more” Yes, I got the awesome discount, so I appreciate you and your valuable channel. 👍🏻
Funny, I was just looking at all the differences after the last video comparing the 7 different brands. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the classic carry on when the Black Friday sale hit this week (just got it delivered yesterday, it's so pretty!). I've been wondering if I really should have gone with the Plus, but picked the carry on size because I'll be using it around Europe much more than domestically. When the beginning of the video said they'd gotten away with the Plus all over Europe, I started kicking myself, but in the end, I think the carry on size was the way to go for me. I hope. LOL
What’d both of you get? I’ll be heading to Barcelona 3 times this fall and Amsterdam once, all for work. I’m trying to decide between the Classic, Classic Plus, or Pro Plus. Help! 😊
I have the Carry On Pro and used it on a recent 2 week trip in Japan and it was amazing. The front pocket definitely is something I thought I'd use more for my iPad, but it also turned out to be a great pocket to store some extra medication, extra copies of travel documents, and was a secure spot to lock up my cash with a lock. Definitely can do a 2+ week stint on this luggage, and pairing it with a great backpack is the best combo for not having to wait at all through immigration and customs.
@@alejandrozhang4989 sure, but my itinerary is not the most common since it does require a lot of Shinkansen transfers, and my main purposes were to see family there/avoid tourists where I could: Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo/stay one night Day 2: Leave Tokyo/arrive in Toyama Day 2-4: Toyama Day 4: Leave Toyama/arrive in Hiroshima Day 4-5: Hiroshima Day 5: Leave Hiroshima/arrive in Osaka Day 5-7: Osaka/Kansai (although I didn’t go to Kyoto this time since I’ve been many times already and didn’t want to deal with tourists) Day 7: Leave Osaka/arrive in Fujiyoshida Day 7-8: Fujiyoshida (Onsen - we stayed at Kaneyamaen, which was fantastic. Stayed a night but maybe even two nights would have been amazing) Day 8: Leave Fujiyoshida/arrive in Tokyo Day 8-15: Tokyo From Tokyo, I did take a day trip out to Kawagoe (Saitama) and once over to Kamakura (Kanagawa). Usually I decide to do something on the day of, unless I have something booked/planned.
@@awaytogether We have to get the last kid close to out of college, so hopefully January 2025. Depending on when we start it will either be Southeast Asia or Spain/Portugal, or maybe even Turkey. I bought the Hybrid Medium and carry on. Have not used it but they look great. I will see in about a month as I am taking the carry on to Philadelphia for eight days.
Just took my hybrid carry on plus on a 14 day Europe trip. Only had to check it on 2 of the 8 flights. Worked great, but it definitely got cosmetically beat up by the baggage handlers.
@@lour58me too but I needed up buying it cause I added the luggage cover from them so I’m assuming if I ever have to check it, that should be able to protect it from any scratches and dirt
What color did you buy? I’m trying to decide between obsidian and Champagne. I’m thinking the Champagne will show less scratching but less scuffing. Obsidian will show more scratching and less scuffing.
VERY clear, Nik! (You are a good teacher.). I have the classic carryon. My laptop/kindle/phone travel in my personal Item bag, so I don’t have to sacrifice the internal space that the Pro outside compartment steals from the inside of the luggage.
I want to get a Monos carry on this week. I know they have 30% off right now, but I’m hesitant about purchasing because what if on ACTUAL Black Friday, you can save a little more. Honesty, sometimes I hate early Black Friday sales lol.
In Canada air Transat has the smallest carry on size! It is supposed to be 21” or less. I loved your video though, if I didn’t just buy a heys suitcase I think I would have considered monos. I did 15 days with my carryon.
I have the Monos check-in medium carry-on pro and the Metro Duffel in green. I did feel the sting of losing some space for clothing in the carry-on pro, but I like that my laptop and tablet were both secure and easy to access, especially at security, where you want to be as quick as possible. I took the carry-on pro and metro duffel to Panama for two weeks, and it turned out that I could have packed even lighter. I got all of my luggage in green. The Metro Duffel is just gorgeous in Juniper, which is a saturated green.
A very interesting video, thank you! I own the Carry on Pro Plus and really like it, although my trips rarely allow me to do carry on because of the needs of my work and the length of my trips. But when I can I am using the Monos :)
Love your vids ... wife and i are looking into Monos Carry On Classic or Carry On Pro for a 10 day trip in Italy. Quick question: Is Monos only available online or are there any retial stores in So. Calif.? Keep up the great work ... mahalo
I have been looking for the luggage that was right to me and because of this video; I just purchased a set. Thanks for the video. I have never heard of this brand but it appears to be a no brainer.
I have the Carry on Pro and Carry on Plus. I am traveling internationally next year and was a little torn after seeing the hybrid, but now with your video thinking I will go for the regular Carry On as I will be flying Turkish Airlines on my way out and am reading they have the strictest size AND weight restrictions and 2lbs could make all the difference! Thanks for the video. Oh yea, and the duffle, and agree would love your thoughts on the expandable as I am flying Air France back and their weight restrictions isn’t as bad (gives me the opportunity to shop while I’m abroad!).
This is the video I needed. I currently have the TravelPro Platinum Elite 26" checked and the carry-on. They are great. But I'm enjoying learning about hard-case luggage.
Bought the Carry On Plus for a trip Thunder Bay to Manchester UK using Air Canada & British Airways YQT-YYZ-LHR-MAN so a total of 6 flights. Only had to check bag once and that was the last flight home YYZ-YQT. Trip was just under 4 weeks and I managed to pack enough to last that long. Also took an iPad which fit neatly into the front pocket. Case held up great apart from a few scratches and I put that down to having to check the bag on the last flight. Expensive but worth it.
Great video! Those packing cubes look like they are also Monos, but they look different from current Monos offerings. Which cubes are they? They look to fit perfectly in the carry on size.
I love your videos. as a European I need to convert inches and lbs to understand the info about the weight and dimension. So I learned you know Europe by now 'like your own pocket' as we say. You for sure know by now about cm and kg you could also include it in your great videos.
Great review...sort of. I wish you would have opened up the Hybrid and displayed it's packing capacity. From the Monos website, it appears that it doesn't have compression straps. What are your thoughts on this?
For a 15-day to trip to Asia, I am considering the Classic Carry-On and will do laundry if needed. Don't want the hassle of having to check in the luggage? Which airlines require you to chem in the Classic Carry-on? Thanks for your thorough reviews of the Monos options. I will definitely use your links if we decide to go with the Monos.
You could have issues on select international carriers (research your specific airline to be sure) but the classic carry on is the right size for carrying on any U.S. domestic flight. In my personal experience you’ll be able to carry it on many international flights as well.
i have the carry on pro, and i love it! that front pocket makes my personal item so much lighter since i dont carry all my heavy wires and ipad, its my fave!! my personal item is my snack bag 😂
I bought the classic plus, decided I didn’t want the stress of wondering if I’d have to check it. Was debating the pro but if my bag is in the luggage compartment above me, then the outside compartment is of little value in flight. My secondary bag/backpack can easily house my in flight things like snacks, ear buds, laptop. My other question is colour and scuffing. When I had the threat of having to check it I was worried about the light beige colour I choose. Now, with the classic, I will be in more control of my bag. I am curious about Allue’s thoughts on the scuffing of the beige colour she took on you long travel journey. Would she choose it again?
Been using the hybrid carryon with monos metro backpack for the last 9 months on multiple international trips and have no complaints. The only thing I could say is that the hybrid casing gets scuffed up quite a bit so I had to go to the monos luggage cover. Other than that, I’ve had no issues.
First of all thank you for your great reviews on different luggages and narrowed down to one best choice of the Mono brand. Watching this review between the Classic and the Hybrid. I like the Hybrid for safer feature. Though Ilike the durability of the Classic , however, I am concern of the security of the zipper that may be opened with just a push of a pen. Have you tested the zipper ? Your response is appreciated before I make the decision which one to purchse.
Super-helpful channel! How watertight are these? If I've got a laptop in there, should I be concerned if I'm pulling these through pouring rain? Also, I am traveling internationally for the first time and torn between regular and plus. The plan is long-term if not permanent nomad. Oof! Any thoughts are welcome!
i love all your reviews, they are so thorough. Can you please do a review of the Monos Hybrid Trunk? I've been looking at all the "lightweight" trunk style luggages, and Monos seems to be the size that I prefer (some of them are so bulky that I'm afraid they might be considered oversized). Specifically I'm wondering how they roll and perform when full.
I have the Classic Carry-On and the Classic Carry-On Plus. I like having the option based on the type and length of my trip. Overall, both bags have worked out great and I’m always amazed at how much I can actually pack in each. 😀
I recently saw a review of the monos hybrid 22x14x9 measured in person and the dimensions in person were slightly smaller. I was wondering if you might me willing to measure the monos hybrid plus in person to see if those in person measurements might also be slightly different than what the website shows. I am trying to decide between these two bags and hoping that the hybrid plus measurements are slightly smaller than the website states which would make me feel a bit more comfortable traveling internationally with the hybrid plus
I’ve been doing my research on new carry-ons for the last 3 months now for my trip to Australia for two weeks in July. I def want to have something that holds a week worth of clothes since I’ll just be washing them at the hotel for the following week. I def would prefer more room since I’m a bigger guy, so do you think I should go with the classic series over the pro series? Your videos have been super helpful btw!
Great comparison. Was the expandable out when you made it? I spend most of my life travelling with dozens of different Airlines. I went for the Pro expandable as the plus would cause too much stress re having to check it in but with the expandable pro I can check the Airline limits I’m traveling with and expand if ok. Perfect flexibility👍. Also I combine with the TUMI leather small flight bag which is exactly the size allowed by all Airlines for additional carry on (40 x 30 x 15cm). After 30 years as a constant traveller I have found this to be the perfect combination for trips up to a week.
Wow, this review solved my dilemma about Pro Plus or Classic size. I think the Classic Pro would be too small inside and not give me enough packing space, but I really want a front pocket in my luggage. The expandable Pro seems to be exactly what I need. Thanks again!
I wish I’d seen your comparison of hard side carry on luggage. I purchased the Away carry on, had it shipped to a US address (I live in Mexico & no shipping here). I will pick it up in 3 weeks, now I’m thinking I may want to return it and buy a Monos!
I have the Bigger Carryon by Monos. I traveled 18 days in Europe and checked twice on bargain airlines. Maybe I could have taken on after looking at others! I wish you had demo the hybrid. The reason is only hybrid I ever had, if you packed really full, i found it hard to line up the catch to close. Gave it away after 2 uses! Has there been an improvement? I use clear ezpack cubes so I can see what is inside and they squish down! I love the customer service of Monos. I am about to try out what looks like a copy of Monos by Quince at a much lower price for a 16 yr old granddaughter. Would love to hear your opinion!
I ordered a Carry-on in Terracotta. The color was so beautiful, but its size was too small for my needs so I returned it and ordered a Carry-on Plus and Carry-on Pro Plus in Terracotta again. When I opened two boxes, I was stunned because they look so ugly. They were in dull brown color and I did not like it at all. I tried to keep at least one of them since this company charges $40 for us to return any orders, but I just could not stand it. I am not sure you are an ambassador of the Monos. If you are, could you please ask them what happened.
Maybe it’s me but when I use their measurements for either internal or external I don’t get the capacity in Litres to match their website specs. Hmmm? I ordered the Carry On Plus and it doesn’t seem any bigger than my basic Away Carry on, despite the advertised measurement saying it’s bigger. I have had others take the measurements, and it doesn’t appear to be my eyes. So now I’m wondering if I should just spend the $40 to return it.
What is the best "Expandable" Carry-On (looking for a carry-on that can expand, so if I'm on a euro train, I can add more items. I like the option to expand or not.) Looking for an expandable carry-on that can expand from 22"x14"x9". I love your Great Mono Video, by the way!
My wife and I have identical, brand new Monos carry on bags. Both bags have the same problem of not being able to fully extend the handles when the bags are packed. Unless one is less than 5 feet tall, it will be a very uncomfortable trip through the airport. After a quick Google search, we see that many people have the same problem. I've reached out to Monos; no response. Maybe you should reconsider recommending this bag.
I've encountered that before and, in my case, it was typically when I packed too much. Not saying that's what you've done. When that's the case, you have to 'burp' the bag. You basically apply some pressure to the area between the poles on the back of the bag as if you're giving it CPR and that will do the trick.
Problem I am having is there is no return of emails with questions, no "live chat" on the website and I just spent $1500 on the hybrid trunk and carry on plus. No one was around to answer questions before I placed my order and I have seen horrible reviews on Instagram now. No customer service AT ALL! No help. That does not make me feel good about my purchase and if I return those and the other pieces I bought, they are going to charge me for shipping (and I read it's not a little). :( I read about the handle thing, but just thought it was a few peoples problems and not that common.

I have the Monos Backpack and the tote . I love the design but they are HEAVY. I never use them . Love my classic carry on though
Love It
Did it fit in the overhead or did u have to check it in
@@karmosilla It fit in the over head with no problem
Hello, Would it fit a 15.4” laptop? And is it an acceptable carryon for international flights? Thank you
@@avdesign613Yes, my 15 inch laptop fit just fine and i was doing a cross Atlantic flight to Europe :)
I LOVE how you made sense of such a large selection of similar-looking bags! Super useful video - thanks Nik!
I have a monos classic, going to Europe for the Christmas Markets and looking forward to taking carry on only! Love it!
SO good looking
What a timely video - I've been looking at Monos very closely and couldn't really decide between the Classic or Hybrid. I will be purchasing the Classic after all. Thanks!
Great review. I used to travel for work 2x/month and find my soft sided luggage gets really beaten up. I'm now getting close to retirement and plan to do a lot of travel, so investing in a high quality hard sided carry on is a strong consideration.
Monos classic for the whole fam (Gray, Blue, Pink, and Beige. Love it for domestic travel. Hitting international waters shortly. Can’t wait!!!
Top notch! 😃👍🏼👍🏼
Monos is top notch. My zipper broke on my carryon pro plus, they sent me a brand new replacement. Top notch company.
We have the classic. I usually have a backpack with me that has space for a laptop that fits over the handles. A perfect combo.
This video is amazing!! Thanks a lot for taking the time and making the comparison this clearly. Kudos!!!
I got the classic just because of your fine reviews.
Was about to get the new Ridge carry on, but chose to go with the proven best.
Thank you.
Thanks Nik! great video, as usual, but you did knocked me off the fence (I’m OK ;) - I went ahead and ordered the Classic one after weeks of endless hours of luggage reviews. Now I need to figure out what I’m not taking on my next 3 months Italy trip. You’ve forced me to simplify and that’s a good thing - “less is more” Yes, I got the awesome discount, so I appreciate you and your valuable channel. 👍🏻
Great review. Thanks for explaining the categories. Just ordered the Pro based on that front compartment.
I hope. LOL
I am having the opposite problem, bought the classic plus, wondering if I should have gotten the classic. The struggle is real!
Deciding between the 2! Leaning towards the plus for my trip to Sweden. Using British Airways.
Hi, im going to Japan next year, can you share me your itinerary?
@@alejandrozhang4989 sure, but my itinerary is not the most common since it does require a lot of Shinkansen transfers, and my main purposes were to see family there/avoid tourists where I could:
Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo/stay one night
Day 2: Leave Tokyo/arrive in Toyama
Day 2-4: Toyama
Day 4: Leave Toyama/arrive in Hiroshima
Day 4-5: Hiroshima
Day 5: Leave Hiroshima/arrive in Osaka
Day 5-7: Osaka/Kansai (although I didn’t go to Kyoto this time since I’ve been many times already and didn’t want to deal with tourists)
Day 7: Leave Osaka/arrive in Fujiyoshida
Day 7-8: Fujiyoshida (Onsen - we stayed at Kaneyamaen, which was fantastic. Stayed a night but maybe even two nights would have been amazing)
Day 8: Leave Fujiyoshida/arrive in Tokyo
Day 8-15: Tokyo
From Tokyo, I did take a day trip out to Kawagoe (Saitama) and once over to Kamakura (Kanagawa). Usually I decide to do something on the day of, unless I have something booked/planned.
Hello! Did you have any issues with it on bullet trains or busses/subways?
@@Heynowrcp hey there! No issues at all. It’s small enough to fit above the overhead compartment 😊
@@momotaroux264 awesome, Thank you for the quick reply!
THANK YOUUUU! Best review out there!
This is the best Monos review on the web!
We just purchased both a Classic and a Classic +. We sent the Classic back for another +. Can't wait for our year + adventure!
WOW! One year! When/where you headed????
@@awaytogether We have to get the last kid close to out of college, so hopefully January 2025. Depending on when we start it will either be Southeast Asia or Spain/Portugal, or maybe even Turkey. We'd like to just pick where we start and then wing it from there. We are hoping we love it so much that we stay abroad for as long as we are physically able.
@@kirstennorling2372 SO excited for you!
I have 4 monos bags. Love them! Took carry on and a pro to Europe for a month
Solid breakdown man
Super helpful 👍🏽
Thank you for the review. I just purchased by using the link in your description the carry-on. Love your videos. ❤️
Worked great, but it definitely got cosmetically beat up by the baggage handlers.
how muc h did it get scuffed? thats my only concern. before pullinmg trigger on the purchase.
My laptop/kindle/phone travel in my personal
Item bag, so I don’t have to sacrifice the internal space that the Pro outside compartment steals from the inside of the luggage.
I want to get a Monos carry on this week. I know they have 30% off right now, but I’m hesitant about purchasing because what if on ACTUAL Black Friday, you can save a little more. Honesty, sometimes I hate early Black Friday sales lol.
I wish I had info for you! Not sure what (or if) anything is coming next. 30% off is pretty great though on a $300 piece of luggage!
If I want to do the pocket, would you recommend going with the Pro Plus for the extra clothing space?
A very interesting video, thank you! I own the Carry on Pro Plus and really like it, although my trips rarely allow me to do carry on because of the needs of my work and the length of my trips. But when I can I am using the Monos :)
Love your vids ... wife and i are looking into Monos Carry On Classic or Carry On Pro for a 10 day trip in Italy. Quick question: Is Monos only available online or are there any retial stores in So. Calif.? Keep up the great work ... mahalo
Thanks for this awesome comparison!
I have a carry on classic. No regrets with that size. I'm looking to purchase the medium next.
I have been looking for the luggage that was right to me and because of this video; I just purchased a set. Thanks for the video. I have never heard of this brand but it appears to be a no brainer.
Thank you for the comparison and side by side photos. This helped me make my decision to buy the Classic Plus.
Thank you for this video! I was so confused on their website. They should show your video on the monos website!
i was debating this morning if i should get hybrid or classic ! your video came out just in time !!
What did you decide??
I bought the hybrid carry on the other day and I love it! I’ll be gettting the hybrid trunk as well!
This is the video I needed. I currently have the TravelPro Platinum Elite 26" checked and the carry-on. They are great. But I'm enjoying learning about hard-case luggage.
What is your favorite or recommended carry on for cobblestones? Love your luggage reviews. The absolute best on TH-cam. Thank you….
Which packing cubes are you using in the video? The monos ones? Great comparison/review! Helped me decide.
Nice video Nik. I have the hybrid in carry on and medium. I really like the functionality.
Thanks for helping me decide!
Great video! I will be getting myself the classic Monos Carry On.
Great video! Those packing cubes look like they are also Monos, but they look different from current Monos offerings.
Which cubes are they? They look to fit perfectly in the carry on size.
Great review ! So glad I came across this ! Thank you 😊
I love your videos. as a European I need to convert inches and lbs to understand the info about the weight and dimension. So I learned you know Europe by now 'like your own pocket' as we say. You for sure know by now about cm and kg you could also include it in your great videos.
Thanks for your feedback! I'll take this into consideration for future content. Thanks for watching.
Looking forward to your review of the new Monos Expandable Carry On
Great review...sort of. I wish you would have opened up the Hybrid and displayed it's packing capacity. From the Monos website, it appears that it doesn't have compression straps. What are your thoughts on this?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these carry ons. I know what to get now.
Looking forward to your review of the new Monos expandable luggage
Specifically I'm wondering how they roll and perform when full.
they stopped using hinomoto wheels and removed it from their page quietly
A very much needed video, thank You
I have the Classic Carry-On and the Classic Carry-On Plus.
Thanks for the video. I just subscribed. What brand shirt is that you are wearing in the video, if you don't mind me asking?
Nice review. New to channel and wondering if you tried the Solgaard carryon with the closet system??
@@Speidell Yes! Customer service is so important. Live and learn. I should have done more research before I bought the Monos.
Thanks to you I’m getting the Monos Carry on Pro plus
Very helpful. Thank you.
I have the Monos Hybrid in carry on and mediun check-in. I really like it.
Would love to see you review the new expandable!
Love my Monos Hybrid Carry on Pro and medium size luggage.
