    HI BUDDY
IS THERE A WAY TO INCREASE THE SPEED OF MY ((PURE ADVANCE E,SCOOTER)) OR ARE THEY THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS PURE MODELS LIKE AIR PRO //
    AIR PRO+ ETC,
    AND CANT BE DONE ??
UNLESS I DO THE SAME AS YOU HAVE IN THIS VIDEO ( WHICH I CANT ANYWAY) & ITS A LOT OF WORK FOR ONLY FEW MPH MORE !!!!
ISNT THERE A SIMPLE CABLE DISCONNECTION THAT INCREASES THE SPEED ???
    THANKS...

Im thinking of getting hold of a new electric scooter but almost all seems to be limited to 20/25 kmh due to regulations, or unlocked and very overkill for my application. For example, I have a Ninebot G30 max where the OEM controller burnt due to exessive tuning. The swap i got was aftermarket and the scooter is now even quicker. My plan was to buy the new Max 2, but there seem to be no way of tuning it with app - question is, is it possible to buy almost any aftermarket controller with the correct voltage, amperage and functions and connect it? I mean, It doesnt get much more complicated than 3-phase for motor and some connection to the battery right?

many or most e scooter brushless motors have six to seven wires; three (if three wire delta wiring) or four (if star wiring) for the phases of the motor's coils, and three (at minimum) for three hall effect sensors that allow the controller to sense the rotational position of the motor and hence, time the pulses/changing of current flow appropriately to create smooth motion.

Hi! Thanks for the video! Is that a Pure Air 500W or the Pure Air Go 350W? I have the Pure Air Pro 2nd Gen (500W) and the battery is larger, so the gap where the controller is placed is much smaller due to the battery size, and the controllers I have found in Aliexpress are larger than the original one and do not fit there. Do you know of any controller that works 500W and is as large as the 350W ones? My only options right now would be to place the controller outside the scooter (which I don't want at all) or downgrade to the Pure Air (not the Pro), which has a smaller battery size (and range). I really would profit from a little increase in speed, for the cars here in Madrid do not have any respect for 25km/h vehicles and it would be actually safer to be able to go faster at times! I wouldn't want to switch scooter because I'm totally delighted with this one in every other aspect. Thank you again for the videos, the tips and the generous info!

Hey, the pro has a deeper battery but the same length and mounting holes. The controllers I used just about fit and have used pro batteries before

@@EscooterbitzRetropad Oh, really!? That's great. Thank you! Could you point me to the specs of those controllers, where I could find them, or do you sell them?

F me that's a lot of effort. I guess I can stop hoping someone will ever find a quick solution to remove the speed limit on these things like some other brands where it's as simple as cutting a single wire. I think the difficulty to remove the speed limit is done very intentionally by Pure Air because they want their brand image to resemble 'safety first' blah blah blah. I'm bored of 15.5mph after 3 years. Time to upgrade to something with more juice!

@@jlb4685 :) yeah, unless some clever person can work out how to modify and write firmware to these it's going to remain tricky. I have tried a few things but more than I can manage.

This is seriously dangerous and could cause a battery fire.

    • @JohnRampton-gd6od
      @JohnRampton-gd6od ปีที่แล้ว

Why? As far as i can see, everything is still working within safe parameters. What makes you think there is a problem?

    • @kaoti

You do have a point that if a person that doesn't know anything about electronics, but even then, pure batteries have a very good BMS that if you made a short, will stop working and will enter safe more.
But yeah don't try it if you dont know what are you doing, just one cell of that battery pack could cause absolute caos... better be prepared if your going to mess with scooters, but it isnt much more than a small IC with a dc brushless controller and a throttle (a variable resistor) so there isnt much to it, but can go very wrong, also watch out with china brushless controllers.
