@@scottsmith491 That is true however when they changed to 800cc bikes you could still have more than 4 cylinders it was mostly just cost that stopped Honda as they believed they could make another great V4 like they have done many times before and still dominate which they did (mostly) but today they've fallen behind and only 4 cylinders are allowed. Which is very boring, it's not like someone will show up with a 2 or 3 cylinder to MotoGP now is it...

@@rullanaattori192 but they did beat the 2-strokes in the 60's with the 5 cyl 125 and the 6 cyl 250. The 6 cyl put out 65 hp (which was even more than the twostrokes) at an ear piercing 19000 rpm. It was the loudest and fastest bike on the grid.
@@ventisette. i just saw a video stating that they were all bore to the same size, audi is the one that has different cylinder sizes in their v5 engines

@@dfa.18 no it doesn't, quick shifting is for both up and down shifting, on these motogp bikes you can change your power output and how much engine breaking there is aswell

The regs haven't actually changed its just that the more cylinders require more weight and fuel on board so it's not viable
@@christiantracey915 Not true. The current regulations call for " a maximum of 4 cylinders". Using a V-5 configuration is therefore no longer allowed.

Respect for this bike! This is the first 4 stroke bike which succesfully beat almost invincible, superfast and mighty 500cc 2 strokes 🙏🏻

The last one. It was a weird, expensive engine. The front and rear cylinders had different capacities, for example.

I thought when it got 5 cylinder it would scream like F1's v10, well i wasn't wrong about the scream but...
its a V5, not an inline 5, so the pitch will only be as high as a three cylinder
