@@robertrushoka3764 Yes I know that - Kenyan Politicians are paid more than their European counterparts. Why is that? The theory was that if they were paid so much they wouldn't be as corrupt. Of course though that doesn't stop suitcases of money being passed around to/from politicians. The tribal system in Kenya doesn't help either - politicians derive their funding for elections from persons in their districts which invariably require paying back when the election is won. There have been studies done on road development in Kenya - when Kikuyus are in power then roads are built in districts where Kikuyu are prominent - when Kalenjin are in power then road building takes place in districts where Kalenjin are dominant This, is the nature of Kenyan politics and the Public Service has been from the President to the average traffic Policeman an avenue to exact money from the citizen. That has been the case since Jomo Kenyatta! It can only come to an end if the culture of entitlement ends. Perhaps, forbid/limit private funding in the Election cycle (so politicians aren't obliged to pay back their creditors) and index Politicians and Public Service wages to a multiple of a set minimum wage.

It is a lifeless Act of parliament until the President accents [signs] it into becoming a law. He has refused to accent it into law hence has returned it to Parliament for the MPs to withdraw it completely.
The media ain't showing. Hundreds were killed yesterday following the shooting that was done at night in Githurai
Sadly by KDF.
@@karrole88it was RECCE squad
We now want the tyrant to resign immediately.
Proud of Kenyan young people. May the Ancestors continue to push.
Well done Kenyans from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 👏👏👏 we have alot to learn from you guys!! 💯✅
This is how it should be ....
Concede further, and resign
Am proud of my Kenyan Brothers and Sisters….Zambia 🇿🇲 stands with you ❤❤❤
Much gratitude from Kenya
Why African Presidents use force when putting Taxes
Because its evolution. Liberal loving and motherly, conservative stern and harsh/fatherly. Conservatives attract more wealth, liberals spend and invest more. Men are more aggressive due to African gender norms. Only wars change this outlook
The Taxes were to be used to pay off public debt (3/4 of Kenya's GDP). If they can't raise revenue from taxes, they'll reduce public spending ... don't complain when there are no jobs, schools and hospitals now!
@@frankyyaggabot6222 No no no .Do you know how much, plus allowances African Member of Parliament Salaries ,they get? And those officers working like in African Revenues, African Public offices? Taxes are paid by Business personnel and Local Peasant Farmers.African officials and their Families have free Access to everything, like schools, Hospitals, Transport, Fuel and others.
@@frankyyaggabot6222..U think this Abt people refusing to pay tax
@@robertrushoka3764 Yes I know that - Kenyan Politicians are paid more than their European counterparts. Why is that? The theory was that if they were paid so much they wouldn't be as corrupt. Of course though that doesn't stop suitcases of money being passed around to/from politicians.
The tribal system in Kenya doesn't help either - politicians derive their funding for elections from persons in their districts which invariably require paying back when the election is won. There have been studies done on road development in Kenya - when Kikuyus are in power then roads are built in districts where Kikuyu are prominent - when Kalenjin are in power then road building takes place in districts where Kalenjin are dominant
This, is the nature of Kenyan politics and the Public Service has been from the President to the average traffic Policeman an avenue to exact money from the citizen.
This was just a warning ⚠️ to Ruto. Tomorrow we would invade that statehouse
Kesho tutakam statehouse utuambie venye ulituambia jana face to face
Kenya refused Tyranny we salute our youth Gen-Z✊🇰🇪
And Gen Alpha
We are proud of u Kenyans
Im so proud to be kenyan!!!! Viva 🇰🇪
Victory for the young Kenyans😊
To whom much is given much is expected. Democracy??? Power to the people. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾🇳🇬🇰🇪
✊✊
✊✊✊
Viva strong we are
Congratulations to the people of Kenya your voice has been heard
5 people dead?? He's lying... more than 275 are dead
Kenyans - tribe - politics = fearless fierce unity ✊ am a proud Kenyan
This must inspire all oppressed African people. You are not helpless. Stand up and resist all forms of dictatorship. Kenya is leading the way.
Tomorrow he must leave office dont be fooled we marching to state house, y'all watch and learn how its done
The guy is just a lying clown, you can't trust him and his minions!
If you don't make demands, nothing gives!
It's as simple as that
In kenya we must shed blood to be heard from the colonialists to the neo colonialists...our president thinks he can do whatever he wants our constitution says otherwise he forgets we are WOKE
Sad🤦🏾🇰🇪❤️
Thanks for that
Ruto should have been proactive with this protest to prevent all this damage.
Africa people unity is strength copy from us 😊 Kenyans
We need young leaders, he should resign as early as yesterday. Am a proud Kenyan
This guy Ruto is Confusing and should resign
Seeing is believing, he speaks no word of truth.
Proudly Kenyan🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
This guy MUST GO !
The people have spoken.
Power to them he people 🇰🇪
Am proud of kenyan youth.
A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall. The silent voices of the youth have risen.
Forget not, the whole Arab uprising was started by single Tunisian youth.
When it boils it will burst.
Fact that one would be ready to set the Defense forces on our own is so disturbing.
Ugandans should take note of this incident in Kenya!
As somebody said...mambo ni mawili, aende ama tukuje.
Did it have to go this far? Now people are dead, then you say you will not sign it? This is why I have said before, Ruto is not an adminstrator. He should be held accountable for the deaths that occoured.
African leaders need to understand that times have changed. Applying dictatorial style of leadership will not work anymore with this generation. They either shape in or ship out.
*Mama I made it!*
I occupied Parliament
Remember the #occupyParliament demonstrations?
But tell papa I’m sorry
I won’t come home tonight
Not because I’m spending at a friends’. No!
Not because I’m among the injured. No!
Nor because I was abducted as they have to most of us. That would have been better
I’m in cold dark place called the morgue Mama
I know Papa will be angry why I wore his shoes
I had to, I know they are bigger but I had to
Otherwise no one could have.
I know he will complain that I have read too much political novels
Please don’t let him blame Animal Farm,
Don’t let him blame Kidagaa Kimemwozea,
Don’t let him blame Tumbo Lisiloshiba,
Don’t let him blame Kifo Kisimani,
Don’t let him blame Mstahiki Meya,
Or Parliament of Owls
They can’t be blamed. I did it for Our country.
They hailed us for being fearless Mama!
They called it an historic moment ;
actually unprecedented.
Did you watch the news?
All over the country thousands of us matched forward, wearing mostly black,
chanting slogans and singing revolutionary songs.
They call us GenZ Mama.
Some Mpigs say we have watched too much Netflix
and we eat KFC. Sorry for the spelling Mama,
I meant MPs.
Did you see how we sang ‘Kudade’ with Mc Gogo?
Did you see how Juliani turned up and we sang ‘Utawala’? That song you call ‘Nikoo njaa siwezi karanga’?
Did you hear us sing ‘Tujiangalie’by Sauti Sol?
Have you seen King Kaka’s ‘ Wanataka Kutumaliza’?
Did you see how Mulamwah gave us Tea and Mandazi?
Have you seen all the comedians, Content creators and influencers?
I told you it will be Big Mama!
We matched forward Mama
Slowly and peacefully Like you told me
We said we were peaceful
They rattled us with teargas and water canons Mama
We coughed, cried and chocked to the smoke but still matched on
We matched amidst the sting of that pink water they sprayed on us with those beastly vehicles
But nothing was more painful than hearing them pass that draconian punitive Bill Mama.
Remember how you used to forcefully give us porridge by locking us between your legs, pinching our noses then pouring a tone of porridge in our forcibly opened mouth?Leaving us with two choices; swallowing or choking to death? That’s what they did to us today Mama
But unlike in the past, today’s child chose the latter; death!
We approached the parliament as promised.
We eventually occupied Parliament Mama
Albeit briefly.
The wall gave in and we entered.
I’m sorry I did not taste the rice
As some did Mama
All I tasted was the bullets Mama
They sprayed me with bullets Mama,
That’s why i won’t come home.
My battle is over Mama
But not the revolutionary war.
Beautiful
Wonderful
This made me cry
Sad reality. R. I. P our sons and daughters. Till meet again. You are our heroes.😭
RIP to our heroes; they join the ranks of Kimathi, JM, Pinto… and others.
Because “I run a government but I also lead the people and the people have spoken”. The people are also the government Ruto!!!
It’s a lie, Ruto should as well resign
People of Kenya must demand justice for the victims after Ruto's resigning
Ruto must resign as soon as yesterday.
Over 300 people died not 5 people. Liar
He must resign tomorrow. Over 300 dead
Proud of you Kenyans, Africa doesn't need to pay a penny to the IMF as we owe them a lot from their invasion of Africa in the past century, you have given a good lesson to Ruto who is starting to bow to the West
