Can either keyboard be used as a general MIDI controller and what are the disadvantages when used as such? Can the internal speakers be turned off to allow the connected computer to perform its internal vst sound?
You can use both keyboards to control a computer or iPad via MIDI. This can be done with a 5-pin DIN cable, USB cable, or Bluetooth. I don't understand the question about any drawbacks. What disadvantages do you think there should be? The internal loudspeakers can be switched off. And not only that, Medeli has even thought of only playing a metronome through the internal speakers or headphones, but not through the audio output or USB interface output.

Have been frantically hunting for a Medeli AKX 10 in India. Hard luck till now!🙄🙄 Why would'nt Medeli market this keyboard in India?? Any chance I could get hold of one here??🤔🤔
Hello. The description of the Medelli X10 says that it has a Bluetooth Midi & Audio connection. Does the X1100 also have these connections? And one more question. Are there any visible differences (or differences in feel) in the keys, in their strokes, in the sound of their idle pressing? Thanks.
As mentioned, they are similar keybords (manufactured by the same factory). So the key-action is the same. And both have bluetooth. You can check this at the thomann website and the downloadable owners manual.
Hi, great video. I imported the Medeli to the UK from Europe and am enjoying. I would rather pay 100 euros more to not have that red highlighted data dial on the Thomann lol. I have noticed some mild clicking noises coming from the keys during normal play. Is this something you have experienced? If so do you know any solution.
To make it clear: the Medeli AKX10 is NOT a Yamaha XS600/700 or 900. If you want a SX900 from Yamaha, you should buy a SX900. The AKX10 is a Keyboard in the lower range of middle class Keyboards, but stands for its own. It is not a Yamaha clone of a SX900 for 1/3 the price. It has got a lot of features, more than a SX700 has (3 Layer Voices imsted of 2 …), sounds similar to a SX600, but is it not a clone of that. And it will not process Yamaha Styles without first converting them using the Grand Suite v2 software.
@@pcpanikMusik So am I right to stay on the PSR SX900? Medeli in the videos looked like a monster, so I was baffled for a moment. Also because how you play she is very similar to Yamaha and as a guitar, sax and piano she plays very well. I have already ordered the PSR SX900

@@pcpanikMusik - I guess it may be called a "step editor" with Medeli / Thomann - with Roland it (used to be) called a step sequencer. I just noticed that my Thomann keyboard doesn't store date and time settings after the power turns off. Do you have the same issue with Medeli? Another issue is that the audio line out does not output the signal at a level enough to be handled normally by the amplifier, only the headphone socket may be used for signal amplification by an external audio system. And finally, last but not least - there is still no FW update for Thomann!
Hello, even after a few days without being plugged in, my AKX10 knows the date and time. In order to use LineOut, the volume must be turned up to 100%. To do this, of course, switch off the internal loudspeakers. The output level is then completely fine.
