For music, 32Gb of high quality mp3s,via an SD adaptor in PCMCIA slot is a lot of music!!!!!! (2000+ tracks). Plus all navigatable from normal interface. Just give some thought to file structure.
Hi, I have recently bought a Mercedes Benz W221 S350 2012 model. I have a lot of songs in my iPhone XS which I want to play through Media Interface (not through Bluetooth) for higher quality but I can’t find the cable. I checked with few Mercedes dealerships but they said it’s no longer available and have to try somewhere else. Would you be able to help me in this regard. Thank you very much
Tell me please. You said it sometimes show the track? Do you have your use the phone to move through songs through the phone only? One last thing. I used a usb stick with about 200 song down loaded on it but I need some variety, can I just use a USB version of the Bovee or another similar dongle?
Unfortunately I don’t appear to have that interface in the glovebox of my 2005 SL55. Presumably the redundant phone interface in the centre console wouldn’t work for this purpose?
No sadly - I think the MMI came in slightly later models. You may have a simple auxiliary input in the glovebox - mine did and you can add a Bluetooth module to that

After the facelift in 2010 they did away with the PCMCIA card slot and replaced with standard SD cards, but principal remains the same!
I have a 12 GL350 and this didn’t work and I downloaded the Apple Music app

Sadly I don’t have the 3.5mm auxiliary port in the glovebox either, I’ve looked for this before. No Bluetooth for me! 🥲
