I so badly needed to watch this. I am in Canada and we are so fortunate to take either 12 or 18 months. I opted for 18 and I go back in 4 months and am already having anxiety about it. These are all great tips.
I am so glad you're able to have more time with your little one. But even with more time, the anxiety is definitely still there!! IT SUCKS!!! I hope your first day back goes well ❤❤
Going back to work on Monday and was feeling all the emotions today.. I had to go to TH-cam to try and find some helpful tips and your video helped me feel so much better. Thank you for validating how I’m feeling and for sharing what worked for you.. I feel less anxious from before I watched this video. ❤
I'm also type-a and was very happy to make the chart. I laminated mine so that I can cross things off everyday and then just wipe for the next day.. I love to cross off the list too
this is a great video! it’s so hard being a working mama and these tips are helpful! I’m a working mom as well and have a mommy TH-cam channel if you wanted to check it out 🥰 new subscriber here!
I worked part time after my 1st, but when my 2nd was 1 year old we started seeing signs that it was really taking a toll on my children's sense of security. We decided that it would 100% be worth the significant financial decrease, and lifestyle shift, so that these kiddos can have the security of having their mother around. I didn't realize how much less stress I would have as well, that was a nice bonus. I would highly highly recommend being a stay at home mom. I was advised that the best gift I could give to my children was my time. SO grateful for that wisdom. Going back probably feels so wrong, because it is actually wrong. I didn't realize that though until I came home. I liked this video I came across too. th-cam.com/video/qjAu-SqeEno/w-d-xo.html
With baby 4, God made the decision for me as I was let go from my job and in turn sent more work to my husband so that I could stay at home. It's a blessing for sure
The feels are real! Whether you are nervous or excited to head back to work, I hope some of these give you an easier adjustment. 💖💖💖
I love the idea of lowering expectations. I feel like I see so many perfect moms out there doing it all but that is not real life!
Yes - mom life can be sooo hard!
