Even if that's just a late licensing of the image with a small "sorry we didn't do this before using the image" bonus. While copyright law as it stands is an abomination for free speech and the free spread of culture, all too often big companies (like clothing companies for example) are ripping off small artists and almost always getting away with it, either because it doesn't get noticed or because the artist can't afford to hire legal help. Often these are the same big companies that shriek the loudest about copyright infringement.
