  • Laparoscopic surgery has become increasingly popular in recent times. Laparoscopic skills and dexterity can be improved by using simulators. We provide a step-by-step guide with diagrams to build an individual homemade laparoscopic trainer box, which is easily available and affordable.
This video accompanies the article published in the June issue of The Clinical Teacher and is a step-by-step visual guide on how to put together the homemade laparoscopic simulator.

The tubular objects being tied towards the end of the video are urinary catheters that have been stretched over a smooth sheet of neoprene to simulate internal structures.

Fantastic paper ! Congratulations. I was wondering what kind of material are you using in the end of the video during suturing practice (the red jelly 'floor' of your box)?
