  • This is the first part of my Nemeth Tarot study! In this video, I go over the first half of the Major Arcana which is the Fool - The Wheel of Fortune. Feel free to comment your thoughts on these cards. If I do happen to get anything wrong or if I miss something please correct me! This is a long video so sit back, relax, and learn with me!

Hi! Jonasa has some card descriptions on her Insta but it is pretty sparse. This is brilliant! For me the minors seem very challenging, with some cards I just do not know how to fit the tarot and the legend/imagery together. This helps/will help immensely. Thx!

You’re right, she very loosely explained a few of the cards on her insta and this deck is definitely quite challenging which is why i wanted to explain possible interpretations for the cards. I’m glad you find this helpful! 😁

    Thanks for sharing this.
I believe the Fool is a female in this deck. Gaiteira is the feminine form of the word.

TdM is an older version of tarot and there it is switched. This deck is based on TdM too. But I've just started my TdM studies so don't know why yet it's different in RWS.

The fool is not in the Majors, it's completely outside of the story unfolding from 1-21, it is the card with no number. Also Maria /Castańa/ has chestnut in her name and I think it's chestnuts in her lap not rocks. It is similar in Italian that gave me an inkling. Sorry for spamming your comment section…😅

Thank you so much for clarifying about the chestnuts in her lap! They’re quite dark in the card so i assumed they were stones. TdM is supposed to be a pip styled deck whereas RWS is scenic. Also I included the Fool in here because it’s typically the first card when you take the deck out of the box.

I have always enjoyed solving the mystery where Jonasa's decks are constructed. From the first one, she let's us figure out what we see and how to use it. I will watch your study, even though I find the decks easy to work with right out of the box. Thank you for your work, it makes my life easier! 😅

Hello, Can you tell me where you found the information regarding the cards? Thank you!

Sure! I got some of this information from Wikipedia and Galician Wikipedia as well as some Galician destination websites that explain the folklore or myths tied to a location or site. There were some other websites I came across for a few cards because neither Wikipedia nor the destination websites had any information I could use, but I don't remember them. I do remember using a news article for the Maria Castana card. Hope this helps! 😊
