      Hey no problem! Glad you got it going. We like helping people save money and take back some of their own power to do it themselves. Thanks for watching the video. Have a great day!

      Yeah I just called and was told they recommend a tech doing this. $25 for the first 30 minutes and $100 afterwards! I’m tempted to try it myself

    Excellent video, very informative. Just changed the battery for the alarm system, and it worked like a charm. Thank you.

      Thanks! This process has been one that has confused a lot of DIY installers and we're glad we could provide some guidance on it. Glad you found it useful :)

    What size battery is needed for the 4911B blue strobe? Can it be purchased at a local hardware store?

    Hi ryan, how do you know when the battery is actually bad?

    When plugging in to the 3 pins, does it matter which way it goes in? Release tab up or down?

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The connector should only fit one way, and that would be release tab down if the siren is oriented like it is in the video.

    Can you replace the battery with a power adaptor 3.6Volts output same as the battery? The battery does not last that long especially if you have a couple of false alarms

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was not designed for that style of setup, so no I do not believe that would work.

    I changed the old battery with a new one. I followed your steps de-pacify, sirens flashed waited for the beeping 30 mins later it started to beep pressed the button. I still have the triangle showing low battery inside the house. Did this step twice. Key pad inside the house said low battery siren. What am I doing wrong?

      These outdoor wireless sirens are defective junk and have an extremely high rate of failure. My advice, toss the piece of crap into the garbage and install a powered siren instead to save yourself a ton of cash and headache in the long run.

    If you failed to do this step (my local installation guy didn't do this) can that damage the siren permanently or would it work after doing the process correctly?

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It won't damage the siren, but the siren will not work unless you do this step

  • @adolfobc17

    already carry out this work the siren works but the strobe does not work

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the siren works and sounds when there's an alarm, but the strobe doesn't then I would think that the LEDs may be burnt out in the strobe light. That would be my first guess.

      *8 installer code
      Section 804 sub section 301-304
      Aka
      Siren 301 is siren 1-304 siren 4
      You can enter ESN maually
      * key makes numbers on key pad alpha numeric
      or in some cases if not enrolled in another system, section 898 then tamper siren should work

  • @weavercattleco

    These wireless outdoor sirens are overpriced junk. Most of the time the battery depassivation process fails meaning you waste 30 minutes with each attempt. I've seen BRAND NEW sirens that are tested working fail multiple times when changing out a "low battery."
    I had a BRAND NEW siren fail within 2 months, the wireless communication part just stopped working.
    If you're smart you will never buy this DSC product because it has a high rate of failure and DSC should be sued for selling this defective garbage 🤬

      It will reset automatically IF the active trouble is resolved. If it hasn't you still have an active problem.

    • @AlarmSystemStore

      The older WT wireless sirens could definitely be troublesome, but they upped their game for the newer DSC NEOs wireless sirens. The batteries don't require depassivation and they've performed flawlessly for us for years since they released.
