yall if you guys are doing water bk skip in the ship of harkinian port remember to disable the static explosion radius enhancement, it was not working because of that good video btw helps a lot
Thank you SO much. I'm doing a rando right now and don't have shadow bk, and the other shadow bk skips i could find didn't work (probably some stupid mistake on my part), but I nailed this one first try. Edit: for anyone trying the forest skip on SoH and not wanting to go down to N64 resolution, try equipping master sword and lining the part at the very bottom where blue and purple meet in the sword's texture on the b button with the the left pillar of the western doorway. from there, proceed like in the video. I know it's not a good explanation, but if you want to see what I mean enable N64 mode in graphics enhancements, line it up like in the video, disable N64 mode again and look at pillar. Should hopefully make clear what I mean
I would have taught a different fire temple boss key skip from lower in the dungeon. In the room where you're supposed to use hammer to knock the pillar to the bottom floor. There's a spot you can ledge clip then simply press A to let go then B to jump slash and hold up. (Don't let go of target.) As long as you can get the ledge clip, the rest feels free. And if you use targeting, side hop, then dry roll, you never worry about accidentally jumping down instead of hanging on the ledge.
I gotta ask would the last one be allowed in glitchless? Like the one for shadow. Personally i like the look of longer runs more than the technical ones such as ACE or defeat Ganon so Glitchless Any% seems like it would be a nice one to run, however clipping is not allowed which is why i am wondering if the Shadow BK skip is allowed. But you can go out of bounds and damage boost and touch misplaced or accidently exposed loading zones
Shadow BK skip isn't allowed in Glitchless; it's definitely usable in MST and GSR though. Still a bit technical, but fun to get into. I'm also a fan of the longer runs like Glitchless. There's a lot of neat and useful setups for things in Glitchless.
@@frameimperfect3870 damn. Well i do plan on running most of the categories on the leaderboard after i feel i get the best time i can in a category. Now ima run them in English just to see how fast English truly is if optimized as there should not be much of a time difference for ones that have less text Now i know for sure in the runs with less text i might be able to get into the top 10 of a leaderboard MAYBE at least Glitchless Any% if it is a optimized English run with using the strats and route the WR holder uses. The one i would definitely have to put most time in practicing is Gerudo dessert as kid because i have to get over that fence and do the kid's part of spirit temple first and having slingshot means early bombchus meaning skipping gorons bracelet and Saria's song There is even a void out movement tech to skip Minuet cutscene while still getting the song that the WR for Glitchess Any% uses, like with how much text is skipped in that category that is why i don't think there is going to be much of a difference between English and JP runs and why it has a shot at making it in the top 5 but at least top 10 runs on the leaderboard. I forgot to mention there are also a lot of outdated runs on the leaderboards up to 10 years ago and that is also why i know for sure if i copy the WR strats i can get around top 10 using English cart and that is my goal till they start using JP exclusive glitches if there are any. Again my goal is top 10 at least which i do think is possible on a actual N64 at least for some of the categories because of outdated times and such, but if i reach a point where i can't get a better time and there is no new tech i can steal from the top runners then i will consider that category done for me and just move onto the next one Before you ask why i am doing this, I just like to run the slowest versions of games just to see how fast i can get them with optimized movement and tech as it is a fun challenge. It also provides incentives for top runners to get better if they see what they think is the slowest version out timing them as all that means is there is a lot of improvement they themselves can make to their runs (granted i have version 1.1 so i have bongo quick kill but that is besides the fact and i have had this game for well over 20 years as i am 26). But i do wish that people just don't drop English like that in favor of focusing on routing and such for JP just because it is faster text as there could be some strats and such that makes English just as fast but no one would ever know unless they looked Still i am just a nerd that is skilled enough to run slower versions of games competitively such as top 10 times. At least i am assuming top 10 is competitive but i for sure know top 5 is competitive and changes a lot in any leaderboard, so if i got that in any category that would be for sure a achievement worth bragging about even if the time is beaten not that long after getting it verified
A HESS for the Fire Temple BK skip is more reasonable, since there are more ways to get bombs or chus than hover boots, and not much harder. Should've included that in the video.
you can also do an ledge clip from the beginning of the fire maze to fall through the floor and jump slash as the ceiling goes away and you can skip the BK that way, requires nothing except the items to get to that room.

do water and spirit skips work with BGS? I can't seem to get it maybe it's because he doesn't swing BGS at draw
I think you'd have to buffer the sword swing earlier because of that. I'd have to try it out sometime.
I hate that I can't seem to get it right on spirit, don't know why
I hope you were able to figure it out! If you need any help, hit me up ^^ (sorry for the late reply).
@@frameimperfect3870 Yes I was! thanks for your video.

Who needs boss keys right? 😜
