The hard part about Bazán, along with the poorish camo and the bad maneuverability, is when to use the gimmick. In theory it's easy; you should do it when: - The enemy is about to go dark. - You're about to get behind an island. - Your smoke is running out and you want to make final burst. - The burst would kill the enemy. - You want to lit fires after the enemy has DCP'ed. - You just want to be amazed by the number of shells flying. Doing it while considering all factors from the minimap is the hard part. It's still a fun bote tho and I love it after 170+ battles (but still just an average player with it).

Burst fire whether the F gimmick of the French reload boost consummable is to be used only when you are sure of the target's trajectory and when your firing solution is on point. Also, use it if you know you are not gonna fire anymore for the next minute or so (because you flee, want to go dark or be out of range) or if you are sure to finish the target with it or if you are about to die to deal the most damage possible to the target. The other use considerations are stacking damage such as fires or citadel hits if the relevent opportunities present themselves. Outside of that, just keep the normal fire mode. As for chasing DDs out of their smokes, you just have to be sure to be able to approach their smokes without any other ship to detect you while doing so. Works well with French DDs and European ones, approach the enemy DD smoke, launch torpedoes (either the enemy DD is broadside and is bound to catch some of them or he will be afraid and motor out of there. If he's too close from your team, he'll get spotted. If you play German DDs, don't fire your hydro too early or they'll be warned, you want the element of surprise on your side. Depending on your timing, either his smoke will expire when you arrive (the best opportunity, seeing an enemy DD charging you when you are about to not be able to stay stealthy is very scary), or if the DD is American, you can take advantage of their own smoke while it lasts, it's there that the German or other DD Hydro can help you a lot, spot the enemy DD fleeing while you stay hidden in their own smoke ! Charging enemy DD with torps as ambassadors is really effective with French DDs because their torp angles don't force you to change course too much so you don't use much time. Just be careful not charging their smoke while coming from the same vector as your team is compared to them, otherwise, you'll have to face the wall of skill yourself on the way to their smoke, that's not what you want if you can prevent it. It will all depend on ship placement and visual obstacles present in the vicinity. Smoke works both ways. Of course, charging DDs who have Hydro or radar is a no-no. Those who have RPF can also be a pain to deal with eventhough, if circumstances are right, you can use their RPF against them (if you don't approach from the obvious angle, they might have to flee towards your team instead of away from them... The Tromp can juke dodge insanely, so you better use that ability, mostly during speed boost.
I used a Z-44 in Clan Battles when it was T9, and she actually worked out very well. Sherman, I've had way more Torp hits than I ever imagined. And you really have to play it at Cruiser ranges, so it's better to get your range extended. 180,000 dmg in my first game.
About your playstyle...If in ranked Arms Race with two DD per side (I'm in a Kitakaze my only T-9 DD), would you still help your fellow DD or try to snag a buff solo? I'm finding cruiser radar and hydro to be challenging.
Jager feels pretty comfortable because it has 3 torp launches instead of 2. The guns and AA are horrible compared to halland, but for a pure torp boat, Jager is fun.
Jaeger is a very capable pure torpedo boat. If it meets Halland in a dark alley, yeah that's going to end only one way, but for what it does, Jaeger is a lot of fun. Never fails to leave a grin on my face.
i like the sherman the most out of these ofcors hes a gunboat i dont think about its torps. its shell arc and 15km range i feel safe from CL and bb and farm them. 2nd is marceau. If it wasnt of its shell arc i would pick it to be #1 for me.
As usual a very good video I dont understand the numbers on the rpf it sounds stupid but Iam only guessing while playing with the Vampire 2 great ship btw but hard to get myhead around the crawling smoke , plz help
You should have shot normally on the Alvaro until he pops smoke & then burst him as he’s disappearing. That would have been a kill instead of missing the entire 5 salvos & then sitting there not being able to shoot. Glad to see even the youtube WoWs’ers don’t hit 100k every game 😅 made me feel better about my stats
It’s in the minimap mod section. And then if you click on preview am you can see what you’re checking. Then in game you can see the settings buttons in the upper right corner of the mini map and that’s where you can turn on radar and pings to display on the HUD and minmap
Let’s just fire these torps for fun Listen I can see you don’t play DD solo very often You need to practice at it It has a lot of responsibility for one little ship And it takes a lot of skill to play well solo Especially in todays meta
Sorry, you are WAY off base with the Jager and Z-44. Built as full torp boats, they are very effective, even more than the Holland depending on the map.
OMH buddy , I wanted to subscribe to your channel , but first few minutes you are saying bull crap , I have Benham & I have Jäger , 100% Jäger is 2nd best T9 torpedo boat in game ! , my standard reload is 65s , but I have Swirski Polish commander that increase torpedo reload with every 8 torpedo hits -5% to torpedo reload ! , and with adrenaline rush and fact that torpedo go 95 knots , get 20 torp hits is nothing special , I had games where I had 35-36s torp reload in last 10 min of the game , as I have lost hp , but I have 5.4km det range + heal & speed boost ... I am veteran with over 50k battles in wows , 468 ships , 90 T10 , 21 super ships I am at point i dont need to spend cash on game as , I have majority of rare ships , but if I start game from scratch I save all my resources Coal & steel to get Jäger , and then Swirski that is 225k coal - 25% 168.750 coal + 175k Swirski = 343.750 coal , literally any player that play every day for 2 crates can get that combo in 1 year ... and you dismiss best T9 torpedo boat that you can buy ...
The gameplay with Marceau is an example of how shit the ship is. Yes, if you're against a bad player, you'll kill him quickly, if you're against someone with a little brain, you'll be dead :D Maybe it's just me, but Marceau is DD, which is probably the least enjoyable for me to play, big spot, stupid arcs. I just hate that thing so much :-)

It depends. I usually look at the ship line up and determine what level of aggressiveness to pick from there

Yeah the crawling smoke is good for farming HE on big ships. But with radar these days it’s not as effective
