If music can be a dream realized then this is it. Beautiful, elegant and sunny. The sun skips over waves as they lap the beach. I will listen to this often. Happy to have discovered it!

As with all recordings it are the recording engineers that can make/break a great (Jazz) session. This LP is beautifully recorded by Phil Edwards. As was Howard Holzer’s live recording’s of Shelly Manne at the Black-Hawk, in 1959, for the Contemporary-label. And then we have, imo, the best of them, Rudy van Gelder for Blue Note/Prestige/Savoy etc. The Verve label’s recording guru was Val Valentin. These men gave shape/balance to the beautiful music in its totality, (as “shaped” George Martin the Beatles sound). Sometimes it’s worth mentioning these very important/dedicated/professionalmen, behind the musicians! But this lovely KB album is an utter beauty, and thanks for the upload. Dig/Enjoy this Gem folks & Cheers!
@@アスパラトマト-p6u G’day! I take it (hope) that your reply is favourable. You are probably responding on the importance of good sound-engineers that can in fact, “make or break” a recording . Nevertheless it very good to hear from you. Take care during these horrible Covid times. Enjoy Kenny Burrell’s beautiful playing & Cheers!
I'm a circus clown. When [ toured with Circus Vargas in 1985 we went thru Chicago and saw Kenny at a small jazz venue after my circus show.He blew me Away! Love and Respect.I'm still a clown!!Ha!Ha!
Thanks for putting this online, I have it on vinyl but it is lovely to hear it on computer while working. Kenny is the man!!! My other favourite Kenny albums are Midnight Blue and Round Midnight.
@@nyuhanC Oh indeed, I love that one too...amazing to think it is ten years after Midnight Blue....and Moon and Sand is almost 1980. Kenny Burrell has recorded some of the best albums of all time!!!
That solo on Moon and Sand, Kenny Burrell’s, is priceless. Words don’t do justice.
un moment parfait de musique acoustique qui rend simplement heureux de vivre
Et ça fait du bien, c'est vrai !
Thank you for this.
a great record. the vinyl rip is perfect, too.
Thank you very much for this. It's fabulous
Happy BDay Kenny!

Put this in my backyard during a quite hot summer night and I really enjoy Kenny's phrasing, he puts us in the right mood!!
VERY WELL....................................................................
I have this album but haven't touched my turntable in 25 years. Couldn't find this on Spotify....thrilled to find this on TH-cam.

I knew this was going to be good... but wow, what a record. I'm loving the acoustic sides.
Kenny is such an underrated talent.

The one that Trane and J Hartman did is wonderful, LP is “John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman”, beautiful, just beautiful.
I have that lp. Wonderful
Vive lost albums ! pas besoin d'ajouter d'autres disques à la chaîne , celui-ci vaut pour tous les autres !
Great album. Unfortunately out of print. Thanks for sharing
My first Kenny Burrell was Bluesy Burrell with Coleman Hawkins. I could listen to this all day.
I just keep coming back to this. It's so great.
I listen to it every week while working. Burrell is so smooth. He hits the notes that calm the soul.

One of my favorite Kenny Burrell records. I was lucky to see him in Philly around this time and he did many cuts from this album.
Beautiful album. So relaxing as well. I would listen to this kind of music all day long 🎶My cup of tea.
Super
Perfect Sunday morning tunes.....
Why did I have to hear this? Just one more Album by Burrell that I've got to have.
I have never heard anything by him that is not exceptional. The other players with him are always great.
Don't listen to Tal Farlow or Howard Roberts. You'll go broke.

Totally agree
Totally agree.. remembering back, late 50’s when sterio lp’s came in… then the Van Gelderland epic… no going back.
But I just had a bright moment,, Shelly Mann on contemporary label, for example, “Un Poco Loco”. Sounds as fresh today as then and that was ‘64
Awesome, smooth jazz the one I love
Moon and sand is my favorite for the sound and inspiration ...amazing work!!
Jerome Richardson did a beautiful take off on it.
Bravo
Heard Moon and Sand for the first time on LA Jazz station. Was blown away. Thanks for posting.
ByKenny? or…
Love this album. Not so BeBop as some of Kenny's other albums are. Love the mellow, and tranquil feel of most of these songs.
All I can say is Mind Blowing!!!

EXCELLENT !
One of my all time favorite albums
Merci Benoit, je travaille en musique maintenant ...

Pump this into my veins.
