10:44 people always quit the head on and just go to the side when they are getting close. But for me? They go for a head on and stay on you so even by turning they get those shots on me and i die. That's why i hate head ons so much. Sometimes you can't escape them and you get punished. Just look how passive that guy is. I never see that in my games. EVER.
There's a way to get out of them I've found, I'm not really good enough to describe it well and it doesn't work every time for me, but if you time it right, you can turn so that it's impossible for the to get their guns on you.
Let out a volley before them, I always start shooting a little before 1km then you'll see them start to fire and break away then catch your rounds to their cockpit. If they end up shooting first just break away, don't risk it, and try again. Or avoid them all together if you're not comfortable. But I love doing headons tbh the kill is so satisfying especially if you just barely dodge the wreck of their plane. It's exhilarating lol
I would really like to see a Spitfire F mk 24 against early jets. I play that plane but sometimes struggle against jets like F - 89D(wonder why) or F-89B. Really would like to now how to play it properly.
I joined WT just after they had the RAF event. But luckily I was able to get this plane off the marketplace before it got priced into oblivion. I’m so glad i did, its one of my absolute favorite premium aircraft. Definitely the best premium Spitfire by far.
I feel like if you were running tracers or even universals you could’ve conserved so much ammo by being able to tell where they were going being able to compensate easier.
This is my most flown British plane. I used it to grind out basically the entirety of the tech tree and I fly this plane to grind out most of the events. At this point, I know it so well one guy even accused me of hacking the other day :p
I love this plane so much. Got it in the World War and grinded the british tree with it. It’s really easy to get the 4 kills in RB with it for the event. So glad you made a video on it. Love❤️
5:00 Nooo, that move JamJam did with the proximity rockets was awesome, that's such a solid move. You set the fuse to explode, and time your shot correctly which he failed to do. It's great for air to air kills, the splash damage will get them. I recommend trying these shots with the 109 G6 which has the same rockets, or if you like Russia, use the Mig15/17 and most of the mig 21s have prox rockets"S21 / S24" The Su7's have S24 too. It's a solid method if you time it right, and super satisfying. Blowing up planes point blank on head-ons when you set the fuse to say 300m :D ... Give it a shot... :p

In the Spitfire, altitude is everything. If you get above them, they are yours for the taking. I haven't got the IXc, but I have the regular F MkIX and I never got along with it. Its slow and it really doesn't climb well. The 109s at that BR always seemed to get above me, even after side climbing, and me and my squad get rinsed. The guns; 2 Hispanos and 4 Browning 303cal MGs, its not enough at 4.3. The Brownings are little more than hardened pea shooters at this BR. I personally like the LF IX. 2 Hispanos and 2 50cals, but flaming hell she climbs like nothing else I know. It is so satisfying getting above those Ta152s and jumping on them, because they don't expect it. And turning in her, she is incredibly agile. Also, the other one I really like is the Seafire FR47. The stock plane is just useless, but once spades she is fast. A decent climber, alright turner, very good energy retention in B&Z fighting, and 4 Hispano MK5 guns. Did I mention she's fast?
They really ought to overhaul the Spitfire research tree line from the Mk V on. So many awesome models that they´ve completely ignored. From the Mk V on, there was a distinction between HF, LF and F models, as well as the possibility to use clipped wings and the 4 cannon layout. The first distinction was between the Merlin 46 (high alt supercharger), 45 (regular supercharger ) and the 45M (low altsupercharger) with critical altitude being the different factor. The second distinction were all possible due to the universal C wing, which was able to carry both the 2 Hispano 20mm + 4 Browning .303 and the 4 Hispano 20mm loadouts, as well as having the capability to be a clipped wing for higher roll rates. The same was possible for the MK IX, just with the Merlin 61 (later 63) for the F, 66 for the LF and the 70 for the HF models, as well as the new E wing for later MK IX models, which enabled either the 4 Hispano 20mm or the 2 Hispano 20mm + 2 Browning .50 loadouts. So IMO the Spitfire tree from the Mk V on to the MK XIV should have the ability to unlock clipped wings as well as the 4 Hispano 20mm loadout. Also, specifically for the MK V, there should no longer be a distinction between Vb or Vc models, but rather the F and LF models. I.e. the Mk V chunk could begin with the Mk V/trop, then go the Mk V, then the LF Mk V/trop, then the LF Mk V. Following this, the Mk IX chunk should be reduced to only have the F Mk IX, then the LF Mk IX.
I have this Spitfire and it is so much fun. I had a dogfight with a G55S and 109 G2 Trop stall fighting them both at the same time an I won. 400m convergence with stealth belts the hispanos hit like trucks.
@@ELITE-xn3sh The Spit MkIXc is better in the vertical than the G55S, better climb, p/w, lower stall speed, much better control at stall speeds. I love the G55S, it's my most played fighter. (NoobNumeroUno) in game name. In a same enegy dogfight the MkIX and MIXc and G55S are quite close in performance with the Spits being just slightly better.

I have some record under my tally (ELITE340) , but i hold nosignificant records for the spitfire family whatsoever , i only played the israeli ones to progress. I play German main but have also researched the Brit tech tree to level 4 in land and air. I love the Bf109 and believe it to be one of the most dangerous aircraft of that period .But having played various British aircraft I have to admit that they are a lot of fun. Spitfires overall do not have the raw speed of a 109 or the power of a 190 but they are dancers in the sky. My only regret is that for some reason the British teams I am on don't seem to really keep it together much, air or land. The best matches are when you get that one or two people who just click with what each other are doing and that can turn around a match completely. I love the German aircraft and I love the British ones as well. I also play US and Russia but have to confess that they are not as much fun at rank 3 and 4, at least for me. The one exception is the P63 Aircobra. It is the one rank 3 Yank plane that I absolutely love to fly. Anyway, enough rambling. Thank you for the video. I am currently researching the Seafire and have already finished the Spitfire IX research but the stats have made me hesitant to play it. The weight of the cannons make it slightly slow in a turn and while it can match most German, US and Russian planes I am worried about its performance against Japanese and Swedish ones. Thanks for the lesson. It will help a lot. P.S. I am not very good with aircraft, or even land vehicles, but I do love the game even when it drives me crazy. If their is any chance of you making some advanced tactic tutorials I would greatly appreciate it. I know its a lot to ask but anywhere from rank 4 and above I really start having serious trouble remaining competitive. The cost of aircraft at these Br's also make it a money sink for someone like me who is not that good. Thanks.

The other day I was in my griffon spitfire the first one, and I got alone at like 6k alt and just 2 bombers on my team it was a 1v4 two bf109k and ta152 plus a Re2005 I got 3 kill and I played like you said. Rules of the Spitfire: 1) be above your enemy 2) don't lose your energy unless you know you can afford it. 3) get up close and personal before unleashing hell on that 109. 400m is a good convergence, but you will be engaging closer than that.

I dont get the hype around the spitfire, one of the only planes that served throughout the war, yet of all the major nations/planes it has the least number of aces, and really lackluster stats.
Stealth belt ( air + armored target belt ) is the best choice for dealing much damage to light and armored planes. However, itself is hard to aim without tracer for newbies or those who don't believe in their aiming skills. Air target belt is excellent to deal with fighters, it has lot HEF to set them on fire as well as damaging their engines. To the heavier armored fighters like twin-engine ones or Bombers, you have to watse a ton of ammunition to take them down. Moreover, HEF depends on the angle of your shot, not great to fire at they 6 or the front. Lately, i've found the second best belt for the hispano which is armored one. Why? HEF in MK II or in MK V is the worst ammo in the game, i believe. It gives only hit when firing at the enemy's 6 or front, even can't do much damage to bombers or twin-engine fighters. However, AP deals significant damages to everyone, destroys the enemy's flap, wing, rudder even the pilot and set them on fire with a short burst. Universal is good but still watse alot of ammunition in a short brust. Try it out, you'll see the power of the hispano. All for the queen :D
Spit, I got the A2D1 as well as the J2M5 in the sale. Both are excellent planes. I grinded out the whole German and British tree. Was wondering if you have any recommendations for the Italians and the French. Are they worth it?
IRL, it's almost impossible to boom n zoom with a spit cause it's unstable and the nose will to go up, and you wil turn left or right (can't remember) try the DCS spitfire lfmk9, you'll love it

I would like to know your opinion on the F-104, now that it's been a while that they are in the game, and mostly if they are of any good in that meta that is constantly evolving (I would mostly be interested on your opinion, on the very first ones, and the last ones such as the F-104G). They seem really underwhelming nowadays, and no one really talks much about them ! Are they so bad / unconsistent ?
I dare you to fly that Spitfire or any other Spitfire in SIM. Gaijin screwed the fm up so bad they were unflyable for about 3 years. Lucky you, they are a tad bit better today.
you say, you need altitude in the spitfire...a plane that is made to reverse boom and zoom fighters... i mean, of course, altitude is always nice, and you got a plane that can climb... but what are you gona do with a plane that can not really turn? the ta 152c3 for example... yes, it can roll, but if the enemy just does not roll with you, he can still get you, because you cant turn and yeah you can climb and you have energy retention, but there ate so many planes that can climb better and handle high speeds better...
Fantastic camera control...how on earth do you pitch smoothly when its active? I assume you use K/M and the camera locks out the mouse . Are you using trackir? if so does it work in third person view?
you know hispanoes are knifes, many people hate them but for me they are so enjoyable, you play like a cat with a mouse: I love to trap lonely ennemies with my spits
Try out the Ro 57 Quadriarma. It has 2 garbage guns (Hispanos 404 and Breda 50cal), it likes to be slow and bleeds speed like its free. It also has an amazing Combat flaps turn rate, a beautifull BR (2.7), and for some reason i preform better on that thing that i do on a P-51 (Or most american planes) Also try out the King Cobra. 3.7 or 4.0 it dont matter.
why did the Ki-61 do that? Proooobably because grinding is horrible and getting a single kill while dying is better than getting no kills flying around for 20 minutes
Spitty, Do you really think its worth running stealth belts on these 20mm only versions? If you ran the belts containing occasional tracers it would probably significantly increase the time to kill and reduce ammo used even if the uni, ground, and air belts are technically less effective. I'm pretty surprised the 264 didn't open fire with the top 20mm's too...
I'd love to see some duo gameplay, realistic methods using radar and firing fox 2's and fox 3's from fighter jets, you and someone else in say two harriers, fighting two or three mig 15s
109s got completely power creeped or either brainlets are playing them, but now that german teams spawn with 4 ju-288s constantly, they lose 90% of the time
I really wish hispanos weren't so underpowered it sucks flying a plane that has 270-400 rounds of guns that do no damage unless you hit pilot and get lucky or shoot for engines, the plane isnt meta at all and on an airframe thats only advantage is it turns well, but when you turn you bleed speed and all the enemies you are fighting are italian russian and german energy fighters even if they aren't energy fighters they still can boom and zoom a spit until one of there gun runs works and they will cause most likely you are fighting a plane with 151 and there he rounds are nuclear

I dont get the hype around the spitfire, one of the only planes that served throughout the war, yet of all the major nations/planes it has the least number of aces, and really lackluster stats.
Stealth belt ( air + armored target belt ) is the best choice for dealing much damage to light and armored planes. However, itself is hard to aim without tracer for newbies or those who don't believe in their aiming skills.
Air target belt is excellent to deal with fighters, it has lot HEF to set them on fire as well as damaging their engines. To the heavier armored fighters like twin-engine ones or Bombers, you have to watse a ton of ammunition to take them down. Moreover, HEF depends on the angle of your shot, not great to fire at they 6 or the front.
Lately, i've found the second best belt for the hispano which is armored one. Why? HEF in MK II or in MK V is the worst ammo in the game, i believe. It gives only hit when firing at the enemy's 6 or front, even can't do much damage to bombers or twin-engine fighters. However, AP deals significant damages to everyone, destroys the enemy's flap, wing, rudder even the pilot and set them on fire with a short burst.
Universal is good but still watse alot of ammunition in a short brust.
Try it out, you'll see the power of the hispano. All for the queen :D

Spit, I got the A2D1 as well as the J2M5 in the sale. Both are excellent planes. I grinded out the whole German and British tree. Was wondering if you have any recommendations for the Italians and the French. Are they worth it?

IRL, it's almost impossible to boom n zoom with a spit cause it's unstable and the nose will to go up, and you wil turn left or right (can't remember) try the DCS spitfire lfmk9, you'll love it

I would like to know your opinion on the F-104, now that it's been a while that they are in the game, and mostly if they are of any good in that meta that is constantly evolving (I would mostly be interested on your opinion, on the very first ones, and the last ones such as the F-104G). They seem really underwhelming nowadays, and no one really talks much about them ! Are they so bad / unconsistent ?

I dare you to fly that Spitfire or any other Spitfire in SIM. Gaijin screwed the fm up so bad they were unflyable for about 3 years. Lucky you, they are a tad bit better today.
7,92 mm is mainly German. British have 7.7 mm ammo.

i mean, of course, altitude is always nice, and you got a plane that can climb...

yes, it can roll, but if the enemy just does not roll with you, he can still get you, because you cant turn and yeah you can climb and you have energy retention, but there ate so many planes that can climb better and handle high speeds better...

Fantastic camera control...how on earth do you pitch smoothly when its active? I assume you use K/M and the camera locks out the mouse . Are you using trackir? if so does it work in third person view?
I use WASD for pitch/roll and c for free look. I just move things gradually to conserve energy

Hey, i know, this is pretty irrelevant, but would you like to showcase the P39-N 0? I just can't seem to find any particularly good videos on it.
Try out the Ro 57 Quadriarma. It has 2 garbage guns (Hispanos 404 and Breda 50cal), it likes to be slow and bleeds speed like its free.
It also has an amazing Combat flaps turn rate, a beautifull BR (2.7), and for some reason i preform better on that thing that i do on a P-51 (Or most american planes)
Also try out the King Cobra. 3.7 or 4.0 it dont matter.

Why'd you keep your temps orange while climbing? That lowers the high temp threshold over time.

Spitty, Do you really think its worth running stealth belts on these 20mm only versions? If you ran the belts containing occasional tracers it would probably significantly increase the time to kill and reduce ammo used even if the uni, ground, and air belts are technically less effective.
I'm pretty surprised the 264 didn't open fire with the top 20mm's too...
I'd love to see some duo gameplay, realistic methods using radar and firing fox 2's and fox 3's from fighter jets, you and someone else in say two harriers, fighting two or three mig 15s

I really wish hispanos weren't so underpowered it sucks flying a plane that has 270-400 rounds of guns that do no damage unless you hit pilot and get lucky or shoot for engines, the plane isnt meta at all and on an airframe thats only advantage is it turns well, but when you turn you bleed speed and all the enemies you are fighting are italian russian and german energy fighters even if they aren't energy fighters they still can boom and zoom a spit until one of there gun runs works and they will cause most likely you are fighting a plane with 151 and there he rounds are nuclear
If you are fine with limited ammo, the Yak 9U is better, I think.
