I take it you've never looked into actual naming conventions for most things. At least "Pacific" is kind of ironic; you know how many rivers there are that are literally just named river in another language? Or lakes? lol
From the depths of the Challenger Deep to the vast superoceans of the past, this video offers an extraordinary journey through Earth's history, showcasing the incredible scale and impact of our planet's oceans.
Hasn't there ALWAYS been a superocean? I mean don't we have one right now? Yes, we've subdivided it into entities with different names, but technically they're all connected and form one giant superocean.
Most of the Southern Hemisphere is superocean- only South America extends much below 45S and Antarctica is mostly within the Amtarctic Circle. This superocean also extends right up to the Aleutian Islands in the Pacific. As sea ice recedes, the Arctic Ocean is starting to become an extension of the Atlantic.
The content is informative and interesting, the dialog is well chosen and superbly enunciated, the musical accompaniment is sublime and unobtrusive yet has enough presence to make itself known. Top shelf production indeed. Well done to all! If I could suggest just one little improvement it would be to use some good heavy metal influenced tracking during the scenes where violent creative destruction is occurring. A properly tuned and played electric guitar can carry such a great ambience for scenes that are just _Two Steps from Hell_ one way and almost Heaven the other way. ;-)
Its just spectacular to see how our planet is amazingly balanced with creation and destruction... that balance is in repeating cycles, which are so much important for sustaining of life as well as its new creation. Contraction and expansion of ancient oceans and continents is ultimate proof that galactic clock of cycles are set for time to come and we humans as species have to adjust and learn from it. Who knows... maybe our ultimate destiny is to thrive and hand over the baton to next hopefully better life which comes after us... maybe we are fill the gap for something much better... Excellent series, thank you for sharing!

As usual very informative, great narrator over all awesome video thank you very much
Imagine the crystals and chunks of metal one would have found...Oh man, I want to time-travel rockhound!
I never finish an episode cuz i always fall asleep after 10 mins, not because its boring, but because its so relaxing
Trust me when I say, I have always wanted to see a tour of the Panthalassa Superocean, the hemispheric ocean surrounding Pangea
Same here. Except I thought the supercontinent was surrounding the ocean. Or did they surround each other like Yin-Yang?
As always very interesting and of outstanding quality. Instant click and like. Please keep on the good work...
Wow TH-cam is pretty horrible for ads now a days. Got my first ad 30 seconds into the video...
God damn, this channel is so criminally undersubbed. Can't believe I get to watch these awesome documentaries for free.
A properly tuned and played electric guitar can carry such a great ambience for scenes that are just _Two Steps from Hell_ one way and almost Heaven the other way. ;-)
@johnnytheprick not a damn thing.
Also nothing wrong with some Drop C Gibson guitar.
I clicked on a video named a tour of earths ancient super oceans. it’s been 6 minutes and they are just now taking about oceans. Not complaining just a bit of constructive criticism for a channel that is obviously amazing.
You must be new here
Wow, six minutes of context and perspective.
The context is what they are going for. Its great imo!
What an amazong channel this is. Wauw. Glad I got to discover this little gem of a channel. Amazing work and quality. Big fan!
I wasn't fully paying attention and for ages I thought you were talking about the Greek god Zeus and how he knew about Earth's ancient superoceans
Faultless. Enjoying this series so much.
You deserve far many more subscribers than you have. The writing for your docs and the narration is top notch! Bravo!
Absolutely wonderful! I've been binge watching these videos!
Spliff time !!
40 mins + of pure Relaxation
Bliss
Better be puff puff passing😜
Good lord realy 🙄🙄🙄
Europa probably has a slushie heart, soft and cold.
Very good job as always, the productions are well done, visuals and text match, seems strange to mention but so many "documentaries" go on with texts that have no relationship with the images. Thanks for your very professional productions.
Brilliant, many thanks again.
