Can we please get a woman in here talking about what an incredible inspiration Emily is to young girls who want to explore science instead of this duckhead whining about how space launches aren’t interesting anymore because he’s seen it already 🤦🏻♀️ Emily carefully chose objects to bring with her including seeds to donate to schools so they can grow “space seeds” different charms to give out to special people in her life, and a flash drive containing the hopes and dreams of thousands of kids. This is an incredible life changing opportunity and Emily is bringing thise kids along with her & instilling that wonder in them. Can we please acknowledge this as the special thing this is instead of just brushing them off as “tourists” and invalidating their experience by saying “yes but just to be clear these aren’t ~real~ astronauts”

Emily Calandrelli (one of the passangers) went to space and has a masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics, seems like an Astronaut to me. I'm tired of cantankerous old men trying to dismiss the accomplishments of brilliant women.
