Hey man did u have to drill any holes or do something special to fit the racing seat on the factory rails and how did u disconnect them from the oem seat? Can u do a short video showing us how you did the whole process? This is great stuff!
@@ClunieGarage i went to pick n pay less and bought a stock driver side seat for $38, then I stripped it down to the frame and build it up. For the cushion I used the gigsaw rubber flooring you use in gyms...it was like 10$ for 4 i think - did 2 layers of that for the seat. I bought some aluminum materiel for the sides to hug my hip and shoulders. - its got aluminum on the top with carbon like stuff in the middle and aluminum on the bottom with protective firm on both sides, sells $40 for 1.2mx 1m. I bolted it all down using tech screws and sika flex glue.. 221. It took a few days to build...then just covered the bottom with some imitation leather and covered the top with seat cover. My Instagram is GETZ_WTF have a look. I can send pics on that mate.
Absolutely love this i just got new tyres on my own getz and im hooked now to see what more i can do to it

I had to build a bucket seat for my Getz. Didn't know those could fit. But only cost me $200 to build using parts from bunnings haha

G'day mate, we haven't used it for any long drives just yet. Lots of support but very firm.
