The transition between the Chain Attack theme and the area theme is both the most anticlimactic thing and the most perfectly timed it could've been. I love it.
The best is when you accidentally push the enemy off a cliff mid chain attack and it just despawns and comes back with full life like you weren't just about to finish it off
OMG, there was this one UM in Erythia sea, with a dash attack that would cause it to move too far away from its spawnpoint, then despawn. I spent close to an hour and more than a dozen tries absolutely destroying this thing in combat, getting mad infuriated when each and every time it would just use the dash attack and despawn itself like I wasn't about to kill it. I ended up finding out that the bravery would act as an impenetrable wall, allowing me to fight it with my back up against the side of the bravery, so when the enemy dash attacked it would get stopped by the bravery and not despawn. The thing is this enemy was not like a pippito, where it has an attack that intentionally despawns itself, the game devs just set the despawn radius to be too short.
Thanks. The funny thing is minutes earlier me and a friend were talking about how Chain Attack interrupts a lot of really good fight music so it was ironic that here the music cut off mid attack. At least it cut off at a kind of okayish part if anything.
That sounds great. I had a whole animation glitch all to shit climbing Mechonis sword. Don't remember if I clipped it or not. Edit: Can confirm, did not clip it. Oh well.
@@Laterose15 I swear she literally disappeared once when I chained attacked with her. The camera went wonky and by the time things reset themselves I was in a mountain for the rest of the short battle.
I just wanted to say, really didn't expect that this video would blow up like it has. I really only uploaded it because I wanted to share it with a friend who I was messaging over Discord. Glad so many of you seemed to enjoy it though. Thank you for your time and enjoy the rest of your day/night.
So there is a bit of context missing. You can kind of tell in the video but I am actually on an awkward ledge. The Unique Monster spawned in the wrong spot and I was trying to just aggro it and got into that same weird area. What I think happened is Taion fell off the cliff part way through the battle and once it was his turn to be the controlled character in the team attack it resulted in being teleported down off the cliff, at least that is my best guess. It probably didn't affect me earlier in the chain because normal attacks don't require a lot of space, but the Ouroboros Attacks do, this has led to some other awkward stuff later, but nothing quite like this.
Not sure why TH-cam flagged the video as being "Tales of Zestiria" but I'm seriously surprised I've never run into this. I've gotten some weird Chain Attack glicthes but I've never had the music cut back to the area theme mid battle
Reminds me of XC2 when I'd start a chain attack, get 3 attacks off AND burst an orb, but it would end because one of my AI party members got stuck on a rock or fell down a cliff mid-chain attack.

That "making sure" was the cherry on top

Worst kind is when you get the enemy low on health, get hit by blowback and are knocked far enough to reset the enemy's position and stats.
That cut drop is the most unsatisfying thing ever.
Great video

I mean the guy found a way to deactivate chain attack music.
Chain attacks get so janky sometimes and it's the best thing ever
The Ouroboros attack their true enemy, Aionios itself.
Well that de-escalated quickly
Taion took fall damage there mid animation from the tiniest drop I guess the game thought he was high up for some reason
Its actually really funny seeing Eunie stick the landing and Taion dropping to his knees
Wow, never even noticed until I read this comment. The clip just keeps getting better.
Took fall damage on water no less.
"HABBA DABBA-" - Lanz 2022
😂😂😂
Chain attacks get really funny in tight spots, Got Mio to jump off a tent once

"I got Mio to jump off a tent once." Sounds like something Lanz or Eunie would say.
Mio's Ouroboros zipping around is the most reliable way to freak out the camera

The grunts from the fall damage and the HABBA DABBA have me crying in the club. RIKU GET WHOPPIN 😂 you also clearly have waterwalking enchantments
“What are you aiming at?!! WHAT ARE YOU AIMING AT!!!??
It’s like one of those games trying to be artsy by giving the boss music that does not sound like a boss theme
Which is hilariously ironic considering Xenoblade 3 has some damn good boss music.
@@DarthTalon5 Xenoblade 3: the game where we play area music over a battle an people still think it's real battle music

0:18 LMAO the explosion sound. and the fall damage was crazy
Remembering that time Taion died during a chain attack somehow during a strong monster fight and the game just kicked me to the last landmark :'D
Tales of Zestiria looking great 👍
"Just making sure."
Oh yes, we must destroy the Cliff
At least that isn't the damage output after the regular (non-Ouroborus)10 minutes chain attack xD
Oh I super screwed up executing this one. I've had some great chain attacks, but every now and then you miscalculate and end up with some garbage.
And now I know what they say during the order thanks
I'm so confused, did they get teleported away during the attack

I dunno man. I'd say Eunie and Taion did a great number of damage on the water!
Is this the rumored Tales of Zestiria remake?
Lmao, It actually gave me cognitive dissonance there
Anime final battles be like:
even riku's attack is really weird and awkward
The music cut is perfect.
When a schizo pill kicks in mid battle with a dragon in your room:
RIKU GET BOPPING
This was so awkward TH-cam is labeling this game Tales of Zestiria in the description...

No idea. I even have it tagged as Xenoblade. Gotta love TH-cam.
Love Tales of Zestiria
Skillful display
Together we can destroy that mountain
I've seen worse.
Ever seen a chain attack straight up cancel itself cause the camera got stuck in the ground?
I have no idea of what I just watched
Nice rock destruction
Thank you, they worked really hard on that.

what the hell was that
What games is it?
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you should try it lol
@@toothpastecreature thanks, i gonna try.

damn this game looks blurry, thought i had 144p setting on youtube.
