- Follow along with Tie 1 On Tv as we update our Ranger Z21 with brand new custom seats and coinbox from Ranger! Step by step this video will show you everything to expect when removing the old seats and installing the new ones!

I bought mine about a year ago from Ranger (Connie). I had a little of advantage on you caueese I have been working @ the oldest (the 1st) Ranger dealer, for the last 25 yrs. So I know most of the original employees @ Ranger.
Anyway, mine turned out like yours. Almost perfect. I did mine 5he same way you did, with a couple of differences. I offset .25" to the starboard side to make it easier to slide in the passenger seat. I used Vaseline for a lube. On the coin box I would NO WAY trust two screws to hold up that box. So I installed a ledge on the back wall so the lip on the coin box rested on it. I used a piece of 3/4 thick Starboard material. With construction adhesive & 4 more screws to fasten the ledger board.
Mine won't move even with my fat butt on it.
Anyway --- good job.
There were four stainless screws installed to hold the coin box into place(not sure if it was included in the video or not). However, I followed Rangers factory install guide that they follow at the shop. I’d trust it with my life. Had a full tournament schedule on it this summer and shows no sign of being insufficiently secured. It’s definitely nice that Ranger offered such upgrades.

@@tie1ontv217 , well actually I do have a starter question...... I would like to replace just the middle seat for the coin box for starters ! I think I still have a little milage on my seats so I'll be able to start saving for them going forward. I really like that coin box!!!!
If your question was if you can get the coin box alone, I believe your answer is yes. As far as a price I’m not sure because I purchased all three together and never saw the price for the coin box by itself.

What year boat is the ranger your installing the seats in
Great video, any reason you didnt just back the 4 screws out of the coin box and move it over a half inch, was it just the extra holes?
Thanks Jason! Although it’d be easy to move it over, the driver seat would have had to been removed as well to do so. I think it would be a pretty tight fit regardless but at the end of the day the seats turned out amazing. It’s just the little lessons along the way that you pick up for next time.

Great video with some key learnings. Just got mine and curious to know what size screws did you purchase for the back of the seats? The old ones seem to be to short.
Yes the back of the seats are a tad deeper so the original screws will not reach. Off the top of my head I believe they were 4 inch screws. To be safe when the seats are out of the boat you should be able to reach behind the area where the seats lean against to make sure it’s clear of obstructions. Also beware of your livewell hoses and wiring harness. Hope this helps! Any questions at all please don’t hesitate to ask!

Yes they are! Lil fact of the day. If you stretch high gloss vinyl it becomes matte in spots where it was stretched. Like around corners for example. I originally wanted the logo printed on the matte and put it on as one piece but that would have stretched the logo and made it near impossible to keep centered. So, we carefully placed matte vinyl over the windshields and then placed a separate white logo over the matte. I think it turned out pretty slick myself.
Great video. I called Ranger and they gave me a part number. However, they said it is all one bench assembly. I have an ‘08 model Z21. Did you find the part number you ordered?
The only part of my order I could manage to find is from the installation guide they sent
“2010 Z DR PS seat installation guide”

When you contact Ranger they will have the seat style already determined for your boat. It’s not as if you get to pick what year they’re out of, just the color combination you’d like. If I remember correctly they’re out of a ‘12

How wide are these seats with the box
They are wider than the inside beam of the boat. To get a true width is a pretty big variable as they squish into place quite a bit.
Soooo im sure someone probably already asked. But would you be willing to sell your old seats?
I listed the seats at the same time I removed them. I think they sold in about a half hour lol. Sorry I can’t help you out more.
Was this ordered through Ranger direct?
Yea it was. Super easy to order too. They even send the color samples to you so you can pick and choose what color/pattern you’d like.
Thank you for the fast response. I’m actually on the phone with them ordering mine. Hung up on the RANGER embedded head rest plaque’s on each seat. I see your didn’t have them. I have a Z22
My does have the ranger logo on the back of each seat. Not model ie z21 specific
Did you just call ranger directly? I’m trying to get the same thing ordered try a local ranger dealer.
Yes call them directly. Have your boat vin ready as they go by that for the style seats. Also, they can email you a color form and can pick out whatever colors and patterns that you’d like. Every seat is made custom just as you picked out.
If your boat already has a coin box do you remove the old seats the same way
Yep they will be removed the same way. If your seats are older the Velcro strap that is in between the center of the seat back and the base may have come loose or very close to falling off. A few more staples may need to be installed or a screw with a washer works as well.

I don’t believe there’s a link available. Give ranger parts department a call and just give them your vin. They let you know what will fit your boat.

@@tie1ontv217 I’ve had allot of bigger freight items shipped to mine. Tractor tires,skid steer tires,big air ride seats for tractors and semis. Maybe it’s just mine but I don’t see why others wouldn’t accept freight items too. 🤷🏻
