I feel like it would be very smart and very easy to implement an app that rewards daily play that transfers to the actual console game......so that's probably a big reason they'll never do it.
I think you’re 💯 correct! And we definitely want developers completely focused on the new game not bogged down on a deluxe version ACNH. Would I buy it, of course 😅
8:00 thank youuuu!!! agreed agreed agreed!!! new horizons more than ever proved just how much this series sells systems. it's like how they view pokemon. so many people wait to buy their consoles until pokemon is on it. now animal crossing is that exact same juggernaut. they have probably been workshopping the next game for a year 1 or 2 of switch 2 launch since new horizons released.
I'm not the target demographic. We already know they're working on AC ; IF both the new system and the new version of AC come out together ? I'd sell my birthright to have it.
Its the best selling game of all times in Japan! So I think it is possible that might be the launch title here. It might be a Ultimate or Deluxe game with more stuff.
It might be worth using the term "main line game" - Animal Crossing New Leaf and New Horizons - 8 year gap between the games, and anything in the middle are not those. This is a term that the Pokemon community also uses. I think that this prediction is pretty realistic. They might announce that it's "in development" with no date - that's relatively normal for development teams. Plus, they have been trying to move people off older software, older infrastructure, etc - so that would track.
I feel like they'll give us a snippet of it to build hype for the new system, but it'll be alongside other games with no specific date. I would love if they did some fun promotion like revealing a new villager every few months and make us guess the personality.
I'm guessing they used Ankha in that illustration because it's the year of the snake, and her headdress was as close as they could get I know I'm a clown for believing this, but I have a feeling they're going to try and release the next AC game this fall. I'm starting the believe the rumors are true that there was an internal delay to finish software. It's clear 3rd party companies are getting tired of waiting to show off their stuff. If Nintendo wants a solid year 1 lineup, it kinda makes sense for their holiday game to be their 2nd best seller and one they always like to release in the fall.
I think 2026 release is accurate. They want to sell the new console so they’ll get it out quickly, only thing I’m going back and forth on is if they’d give us a quick teaser trailer in 2025.
I am hoping for the new animal crossing that allows houses to face west or east instead of just south. Also, allow objects to be placed diagonally as well as to allow planting star trees
I can confirm that the Pokect Camp stuff is still in ACNH the code you got from the Nintendo Club is the DLC code and you can redownload it again if you want to start a new island along with Happy Island Paradise too
I am hoping your timeline is correct. I have been saying it will be a launch title for a while and fear that it will. What game is going to get people to buy multiple switches? The next animal crossing, when it launches I will buy one, the next animal crossing will force me to buy three. We all have to have our own island, town or city and I know I am not alone.
New AC wishlist: -Unbreakable tools. It was a horrible mechanic in NH and doesn't need to return, especially for golden tools. -More villager personality types. I think 5 or 6 personalities for male and females would do nicely. -QoL features. If they keep terraforming, building moving, etc., make it fast, maybe even having a full edit mode. -Super controversial? Remove the time mechanic for upgrading buildings and such. Why are we being punished for a day when upgrading Nook's Cranny? -Bring back not only The Island, where it's always summer, but add a winter, autumn, and spring version of the island. -Let us play as an animal, please Nintendo 😢
I just hope you can get the new game on the switch because there are a lot of money to just get a new one and they last a long time so I just hope they would sell it but that’s what I’m worried about that. They wouldn’t cause I would wanna get it, but I only have a switch and I don’t know if we would buy another one.
I think there will be a free update for online subscription that is an update date for the S2 (with other games) and the main line game comes out 2027 or march 28. My guess
I’m going to go out on a limb and disagree. I think they have had SO much success with this animal crossing and they want people to buy the new console so much that they will release animal crossing as the opening game! I think it’ll be announced soon and out with the new console release. I’m prob not being realistic and merely hopeful for my own selfish reasons but I really hope I’m right. Also, Nintendo likes to drop bombshells sometimes and this would be just that!!! 🎉You honestly ARE probably right however I’m going to go with my theory! Also historically the times between games have gotten shorter as technology gets better and people want instant gratification these days. They at some point need to give the people what they want! 😅
honestly evein if it was like a new leaf remaster with some new horizons gamelay/qol updates would be really cool as a little fun thing to hold us over until we get a new mainline game
AC really should be a lot more newer than it is NH ever was. Back then NH was a Hype but now ya can see a lot of Flaws , but we need something that’s a lot more newer than NH never had.
I really hope you're right but I fear it will take longer. I don't quite understand why they treated Animal crossing the way they did compared to their other big games in the last years so I can see them taken even longer to release a new game. I hope I'm wrong though 😅
Any new AC news would likely be for the Switch 2 I think. If anything, ACNH will be backwards compatible with Nintendo's next console, hopefully with performance updates(better Frame Rate, etc.). As far as an "ACNH Deluxe" is concerned, I would be all for it in a preservation sense, since like ten years from now more or less, Nintendo could shutdown the Switch's eShop and online features and people will no longer be able to download all the updates like Swimming and HHP, Cooking, etc. in the future and all of that will be lost in time.
If were being for real here, despite ACNH being a massive success sales wise, i think part of it was because it became a trend, and trends come and go. There is no massive hype at all for the next animal crossing game. Its kind of just like, people are waiting for it but also its forgotten. So i dont think Nintendo is confident with animal crossing enough despite its massive success, to lure people to buy switch 2. Future title, sure. But not as a launch title. I just dont see it. New horizons was a special case that happened in a specific set of circumstances that worked in its favor. No doubt that the next animal crossing would be popular, it just wouldnt be in the same level as say every mainline pokemon games announced.
I literally can't wait to get New News of the next Game, everything takes too long 😠 I just hope, we don't have to wait that long tho. And I will survive till then 🥺
Well ACNH is the best selling game in Japan of all times! And that is where Nintendo is headquartered at. So maybe, we are getting a new game or a Ultimate game like with Pocket Camp.
I believe we're going to get new updates and paid DLC for new horizons. Why would Nintendo release a new animal crossing game if new horizons is still moving sales. It just crossed the 8 million mark in japan alone. I think its going to get the Mario kart 8 deluxe treatment.
@@mr_m4613 Honestly, I'd be perfectly happy with an update and more paid DLC for New Horizons. I love that game. I really think we are going to get a new mainline Animal Crossing game though but either would be fine with me. 😊
@@christinhoving1515 every time I have this discussion about new horizons I always bring up this point. Think about this, new horizons is a mainline animal crossing game right?...EVERY mainline animal crossing game has had a post office as one the first landmarks in an animal crossing game. If Nintendo moves forward with another mainline animal crossing game, new horizons will be the first animal crossing game without a post office. That can't happen.
I’d be happy with this. It’ll be on the new console, which will get rid of the lag issues, so give us a ton new stuff so we can clutter our island with no lag!
What do YOU think!? Animal Crossing news in 2025?
This is, in my opinion, the most realistic expectation/prediction I’ve seen in… years. 😅
If they put tomodachi life and the next animal crossing game as a nintendo switch 2 launch title I will CRY. Crying, screaming, throwing up
They need bring Tomodachi life back do it for switch that be next top game close to Animal crossing game!
A new Zelda or Animal Crossing is the only way any one of the 3 people in my house who have switcheds would get a new switch.
8:00 thank youuuu!!! agreed agreed agreed!!!

I think Animal Crossing will be a launch title for the Switch 2.
Nah but i do believe new horizons will get more paid DLC.
Don't think so, there are other more popular Games for Launch Titels.
Its the best selling game of all times in Japan! So I think it is possible that might be the launch title here. It might be a Ultimate or Deluxe game with more stuff.

2026… so ACNH Deluxe edition, mostly the same game but with added islands and new features is my guess lol
I feel like they'll give us a snippet of it to build hype for the new system, but it'll be alongside other games with no specific date. I would love if they did some fun promotion like revealing a new villager every few months and make us guess the personality.

PS my clowning set aside, realistically, you're probably right about the announce to release window 🎆
I hope they will fix the issue on time travelling and treasure Islands, ppl be doing cheats they should mod instead and don't play online
Happy New Year!!!

i think they completed pocket camp so they can focus on the new game and to port + render all of the items into said new game.
you went from 19% to this in few hours ^^ Happy New Year Pat 😄
I’m still around that number! If not this year, they will tell us closer to launch (2026)
I can confirm that the Pokect Camp stuff is still in ACNH the code you got from the Nintendo Club is the DLC code and you can redownload it again if you want to start a new island along with Happy Island Paradise too
Yes Pat! All of this I hope is spot on! 🤞🏻
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing. Subscribed.

I can't wait! Never thought I'd get into AC but yeah it quickly became the most time I've ever spent in a single game ever
I was just looking at ur last vid then i saw this LOL
If Nintendo released the new Switch with a new AC game, I’d give them a blank cheque and tell them to take ALL my money.
New AC wishlist:
-Unbreakable tools. It was a horrible mechanic in NH and doesn't need to return, especially for golden tools.

Haven't played in years and this, sadly, sounds unlikely to get me to even turn on my Switch now that my Steam Deck has replaced it.
I think there will be a free update for online subscription that is an update date for the S2 (with other games) and the main line game comes out 2027 or march 28. My guess
I hope we will be getting a new AC in city vibes. I don't want another island.

A Mario game will be the big launch title. Animal crossing will come later.
I agree 100%

Happy new year pat i don’t think we will here anything animal crossing this year 😊
I play strictly hand held on my switch lite, so I'm hoping the new system has some equivalent or I won't buy.

I'm hoping for a Switch2/AC launch bundle
I am one of those young old ladies that would purchase an animal crossing special edition.

So sad.
